stay well clear from mce . they tell lies and cancelle your police without notice and refuse refunds

Hopeless customer service. Firstly why can't I renew my policy online but only by phone? So I had to spend an age on the phone trying to renew my policy going through all the rigmarole of answering questions that they already had the answers to. I could barely understand the person on the phone as they had such a strong accent. Only to be told at the end that I couldn't pay in full due to a system problem, WHAT? I could pay in installments though which had added costs of course. Strange how that works. I then ask if they can call me back when the system is working and I'll pay them which was agreed. No call came and next thing I get is an email saying my policy has lapsed and I have to get another quote to be insured. Unfortunately mce gave the lowest quote so I ended going with you again but you really need to shake up your service. And get rid of the overseas call centre.

I just had to pay 1000 more then last year ! Will be my last year with MCE literally ! Losing another customer ! Company ridiculous

I was on the live chat for 45 minutes. It was no help at all , then 30 mins in a queue on the phone . I hung up & done it on line so still unsure of what I got , but I'm insured at least .

How I should broke down 2mile from my address??!! This is surprising the company told me you should broke down 2 miles from your house other wise we can’t cover!!

I will NEVER EVER use MCE again. Why did such a large company let thousands of customers have to sort out "THIER MESS". They should have automatically transferred all policies to another company. I think people should blank them because of this situation,it is NOT ACCEPTABLE. I hope they lose thousands of customers for good.

Stay clear of this insurance broker ,you can never get through on the phone and live chat is next to useless ,they are thieves I had 2 insurance with this company 1 insurance was for my honda vfr800 which I paid in full but had to cancel the insurance policy due to selling the bike they owe me 7 months worth of insurance, I cancelled the insurance in on 7th November 2021 it is now 24 January 2022 and still no sign of a refund, my other insurance was for a 125cc scooters I use for food deliveries which was very expensive £1500 but I paid that on a monthly basis, phoned them today and spoke to 5 different people to try and sort out WHY IVE NOT BEEN REFUNDED ON MY CANCELLED POLICY, was on the phone for well over 2 hours and by the looks of it I will not be getting a refund on the insurance I cancelled also they deal with company that are going bankrupt STAY CLEAR OF MCE they are not worth the headache or your time effort or money ,and if mce reads this please note I will not stop until I get my refund, and you will never have my business or money again ever ,this is the worst insurance company I've ever had to deal with, there staff barely speaks English nor understand English

I had insurance with MCE. One of the worst decisions I have ever made. Very difficult to get any responses and when I moved address it was cheaper to start my insurance again with another company. I have since found a Facebook group of people who dislike MCE with similar (or very much worse) stories. The worse pain appears to be if you ever come to claim on your policy. Have a read. Very informative.

Took money for a year’s insurance and went into administration after 6months . Then after countless calls and emails you won’t send confirmation of my no claims bonus . What a disgraceful attitude towards customers

Worse company I ever deal with. Chat … agents never available… sending emails… no replies . Good they went to administration I just hope I’ll get my money back. They still running under another mce name . People don’t buy any insurance with them even if is cheap !!!!

They are the worst insurance company about took my money and now don’t wanna give a refund I have lost my no claims bonus and I am half way through the year it’s silly and stupid if they’ve messed up and gone bust they should give everyone a full refund or if not giving a full refund they should get what they are in titled to + a 1 years no claim bonus something should defo happen about this and the customer service team are useless they are rude and tak over you and all they do is repeat them selves I would never recommend this insurance to anyone

As stated below. lots of email communication saying that it was the Gibraltar company that is going into liquidation. then an email saying my insurance policy will end 21/1/2022. loss of NCB as it was not a full year and 90% pro rata refund at some point. They are now saying that they are just a comparison site. the customer service has always been bad but this is poor. pay cheap and all that, they are fine if nothing happens and you just pay each year.

Worst customer service I've ever had from an insurance company. Extremely excessive admin charges and when I spoke to one of the agents from MCE, they were no help whatsoever. Will never recommend or use MCE again.

You are the worst company . 7 of 8 instalments payed lost 5 months of insurance lost 400£ deposit lost 3 months that been overpaid. To all new customers do not buy insurance from them

I was looking to insure my trials bike so I could take part in road trials. I carefully read all the documents beforehand and the only exclusion mentioned was racing on race circuits or closed roads, with a definition of racing involving speed and time. Purchased the policy and received the Certificate of Motor Insurance which suddenly states that use for trials is not covered. I was mis-sold this policy as this exclusion was never mentioned until I'd bought the policy and even in the cooling off period it would cost me £45 to cancel it. Very poor service. Definitely would not recommend this company!

absolutely diabolical would not get bike insurance from this company ever againtrying to rip people off with a late fee over christmas money was in account but they didnt take it and now charging me £48 to keep my partners bike insured when monthly payments are normally £18 rip off a company wont be recommending

Since I've been with mce insurance it's just been nothing but stress, I've never known an insurance company that cannot move a payment date to a different day & an insurance company that isn't understand. If you want a insurance company that's just after money this one is the one you wanna go for. Customer service is poor they don't know what they're doing.
