“Absolute joke appalling customer service stay clear I've never been so frustrated at anything honestly stay well clear they took nearly 4weeks to let me know that the 3rd party had admitted liability by which time I had borrowed money to by another car diabolical company”
“I have been an existing Customer of Octagon for 12 months and advised them i would like to renew. They requested further documents for Proof of adress even though i already had a policy with them? You are forever on hold if you ever need to speak to them. Poor Customer service and try to rip you off and charge you more on quotes. I have since gone on line and gone with another company. Shocking service, no notes are made when you call in, different prices quoted every time you call in and generally slow and inefficient. Expect to be pn hold for a LONg time if you need to call them.”
“First signed up with Octagon and declared I own 2 properties advised to use the address of the property most used. Having done this for the last 2-3 years suddenly it is no longer allowed! Insurance cancelled left stranded! Very unprofessional.”
“Very annoyed with this company, they're just a bunch of money grabbers. They sent me quite a few emails saying to renew and that they'd charge me at the end of last month for this months insurance. I checked the cheapest online and went with Swift Cover. Phoned Octagons line where the payment comes out from and told them I'd like to cancel it. They cancelled it, then Octagon have sent another email today, 2 weeks later, saying they'd decided to extend it and given me a '14 day cooling off period' which they'll charge me for, plus £50 cancellation fee. Calling them tomorrow, no way am I paying it. If I wanted to sodding go with Octagon, I would have told them that on the payment renewal line.”
“Cancelled insurance without letting me know, they cancelled because they made mistake with my date of birth which was not my fault, when i foned up they were so rude, & dont want to hear what i had to say, i payed £800 they only refunded me back £190. I will never use this insurance again, stay away”
“I wish I could give this zero stars as this company are criminals, since taking up this policy this insurance company has made it almost impossible for me to be insured by them after taking my deposit for some reason my emails wasn't coming through to them which is the email they had on file so they didn't get my no claims bonus I woke up to an email at 4 o'clock in the morning saying that my policy is cancelled knowing I couldn't call anybody to after 9am. Customer service was very unhelpful the manager at the time refuse to speak to me saying they were busy and I have to speak to them another day knowing I wasn't insured anymore. while on the phone I tried to send the email again but from a different email this time and funny enough that one went through so I'm under the impression and did they block the email they had on file for me!? Trust me people do not go with this company just a little bit more and go with a different insurance company.”
“Wouldnot use again would rather pay extra to insure policy was there and that funds were being taken on the day arranged. This did not happen received threatening emails regarding my no claims document which I had already sent. Additionally I had arranged for my direct debit to be taken out on a set day which it didn't when I called to query this was poor service and a hassle to change which inevitably caused me to pay the lot because I no longer trusted that payments would be made. Appalling and time consuming found it extremely difficult to get a hold of anyone and when I did they did not fill me with confidence.”
“Octagon are legal criminals they take a large deposit then all u get is cancelation threats there after instantly . Well cancel u if u don't pay another £200 now ! Then well cancel u if u don't give us all documents in 2 days . Disgusting they actually get away with as soon as they have ur big deposit all of a sudden they think of every way possible to get more money or just cancel u so they've earned a nice bounce for just being misleading lying and a toy town firm . I've used a few insurance company's that are nothing like these never had threats to cancel every day like octogon seem to find reasonsand as soon as my years over I'll happily pay more just so I don't have to deal with these wrongens. Stay away !!!!!”
“Octagon is not a good company to get your insurance through ,I would defiantly recomend you choose anyone else but this provider ,be careful as they fall under an umbrella of many company's but octagon provide a very poor service ,chronic response to enquiries and queries ,they are over priced and generally unhelpful to the point of providing misleading information .please choose an insurance provider wisely but don't Cooke octagon .”
“Was with this company then bought my own house 5 minutes away from parents house where I lived previously I had been with them for 4 months and my insurance was £600 for the year I phone to change address and get told they want an additional £700 which I had to pay on the day I couldn't pay monthly. So.i had to pay £50 cancellation fee as I obviously didn't have a spare £700. I then asked if I could just park the csr at my parents house then as it is literally around the corner which I was told no the insurance is for you it doesn't matter where you park the car. Which just shows what your dealing with”
“Very unhappy! 16 years motoring, no convictions and I had to sign a credit agreement for my insurance, then I received a letter to say they wanted proof of address, copy of my driving licence front and back, plus a portal code to check my licence! So far I feel like a criminal and have to prove I can drive! What about the ones who been caught with no insurance! Bet they have not been asked for proof!! Absolute joke! I'm within my 14 day cooling of period but apparently I'm still going to be charged £75 cancellation fees!! I would not recommend. Pay a bit extra and go to the leading insurers.”
