Gadget insurance review. Had to get insurance on my 2 year old laptop for Student Finance to get software installed on it. About a month after getting the standard cover, I accidentally spilled tea on it and it stopped seeing the HD. I panicked of course, and that night I started a claim because I do all my uni stuff on it and would need it sorted quickly. The next day the company had emailed asking for pics of it including when turned on. I took pics, turned it on and (yay!) it was working fine. The liquid had dried no harm, no foul. I sent the pics but said it was working again so I wouldn't need the claim. They replied saying there was casing damage and misalignment between the screen and keyboard and that I'd need to explain that before they could accept a claim because it would mean my laptop wasn't in good working condition when I purchased the policy but let them know if I wanted to cancel the claim. There IS NO casing damage except for some scratches on the outside. There is no misalignment. I replied that there was no damage to the case but they could shut the claim. They replied again this time saying the side image showed clear damage and that if I get it repaired I'd have to provide proof for future claims but please confirm I want to cancel the claim. I went back to say there IS NO damage but yes, please cancel the claim. Honestly, it's ridiculous that they are looking at pictures and trying to say there is damage. My laptop is in good condition and if something happens in future I won't bother trying to get them to sort it.

My daughter received a message to say her parcel had been delivered (a large parcel of clothes) but this was never delivered obviously went astray somewhere. There was no delivery at all on the day stated it had been delivered. Terrible service untrustworthy staff if they are saying something has been delivered but it hasn’t!!

BREACH OF GDPR AND CRM - DREADFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE For home insurance. Never again. Taking a payment from myself for my parents' policy without my consent as I was informed last year they would definitely remove my payment details from their system as I did not consent for them to keep this on record. They completely ignored my request and have again taken a full premium out of my personal account, but refused to discuss this with me as I'm not the policy holder. Sent them an LPA to cover this, but still no phone calls returned or reply to my emails. My 86 year father with poor health called them in the end to complain and have now charged us a cancellation fee. Absolutely unacceptable. Dreadful service. Made it impossible to get this policy sorted out even with the legal documents. Shambolic. So much time taken to deal with all this and the stress involved and caused to my elderly parents.

Another non delivery card through my door. On there is the opening hours to collect...7 till 12. So I get up early and get there for 7, to find a notice on the door. Temporary hours, Open at 8. Either reprint your bloody leaflets, or at least have the intelligence to score out the hours on the card so it would prompt customers to ask the question. Disgusting company whodeserve to go out of business and let the other professionals do the job.

I am happy with the service given during this time, always someone at the end of the phone line and all customer service agents are based in the UK so no language problem. My phone and broadband have been ongoing and where I had an issue, it was resolved finally (very quickly at the end).

Mum had a post office account and sadly passed away at beginning of April. Absolute disgrace and shambles of a customer service department while trying to close the account; mail not sent despite frequent chasing up, rude staff and a complete lack of empathy over my situation. Submitted 2 complaints which admitted staff failings but told me to go to the Ombadsman! Avoid at all costs, never experienced such poor customer service!!!

I've tried to use the Nether Hall Post Office 3 times now, going back each time, dismissing the attendants unhelpful attitude as a 'one off.' Every time 'Hakim' (a false name I'm sure) the attendant goes out of his way by denying service and lying to my face with he reasons why. He's a small old, white haired man and the only now there. Today I had prepai at home, for 2 parcels going internationally and one large letter going within UK. The UK one he processed. The parcel to Germany he processed and put the parcel in the sack. Now, when we came to the USA parcel I asked for a customs label, he gave it to me. As I begin to fill it out he says the item isn't scanning, there is a barcode missing. Then goes on to take the Germany parcel back from the sack and says he can't process either due to the barcodes missing. He tells me to go to the Central post office. Even though he printed a receipt for the Germany parcel. I knew at this stage he was not processing them for a reason, not the one he was telling me, he was definitely lying because I went to another post office close by and they processed them no problems. I do not know his motives for lying and NOT DOING HIS JOB, nor do I care. He's a lazy, disgustingly wretched little man who must take pleasure in denying service. He even shows you the computer screen and points to it. The real life version of 'Computer says No.' Its not acceptable. Please can someone do something about this? I know it might be a franchise but surely every Post Office has standards and rules. This man is many things I cannot write here. Goodness, I can't wait until Karma pays him back.

Horrible service by a rude staff named HUDDA in Hounslow post office. After waiting in the line for 15 mins we where told that the post is closed and to go home I asked the staff why they allowed us in if the post was closed and showed them that the online site showed the post is open till 5:30pm but the staff and the security was too rude and replied saying we don’t care what’s on the site this post closes at 4pm and No1 will be served now so leave the shop. So I asked the post office employee named HUDDA ( he gave me this name written on the paper there was no name batch or a name plate on the counter) I asked him for his name and he got angry about it and decided to serve the people behind me and served every customer in the store but not me, when I asked him to serve me he was very arrogant and rude to me and said “you have my name right so just leave” as I asked him for his name. In the current situation where we are asked to stay home and not Rome around the staff had his attitude problem just to make me travel again to the post tommorow risking my life and everyone els in my house

Our new bike bought some months after taking out PO contents insurance exceeded the maximum repayment value for single items, hence the Post Office will pay nothing for its theft. This may be standard industry practice, but why is it considered reasonable? Why is the maximum repayment value, less the excess, not paid? Moreover the very first question that the post office handler asked was intended to establish the above, i.e. whether they could avoid any payment. I know this protects the interests of x,y,z, but it doesn't feel great to the customer who took out insurance in good faith.

Policy held with Post Office for 2 years with no claims during that time. Renewal price increased by 74%. Whilst I am astute enough to shop around, I feel that this may not be the case for vulnerable customers.

applied for loan, accepted for first time as my credit score was good, then start getting stupid suspicious emails, demanding too many further documentation, also provided those documents, feel so stressed and ask them to cancelled it as after 20 days no progress, where as in the start they asked it will only take 7 working days, and I find out it is there trick to progress the post office attestation business, as all the documents the wants to be testified by post office staff, which cost you £5 each page, I spent more then £30 on it, its a scam I don't really appreciate that. stay away from them if they ask to send documents. its their business to get money in this way, now finally I have cancelled it by calling them.

I took out my phone insurance with the Post Office (Taurus.) The other week I dropped my phone and smashed it. I did the online claims form which was approved immediately, then had the option to post my phone or take to Apple shop. I took mine to the Apple store where I was told I needed a new phone. I initially had to pay the bill over nearly £400, but I uploaded the invoice and job sheet that night. Two days later received a text saying everything was approved. Another two days and the money was back in my account and with only a small deduction for the access. Definitely would recommend.

They keep harassing me calling me , sending me threatening letters, for something that isn’t my fault. I’ve told them that I suffer with depression and that I’ve been on a proper low recently. Yet, they don’t care, they want to squeeze every penny out of me, thing is if I owed them any money then they’d be able to take it legally but I don’t owe them a dime , however, they won’t stop pushing me off the cliff, I really don’t get it. Why are you he’ll bent on swindling money out of me? Why ? Please leave me alone.

I have a Post Office easy savings account. Recently got married and sent them my marriage certificate to get my name changed - no problem - received a new card with my old name on - called them and was told I needed a security number - I told them I didnt as they had changed my name and had just sent the card in the wrong name - they wouldn't have it - I complained and eventually spoke to a manager who offered me £60 compensation and sent me a security number - called them back and asked for a new card in the right name - THREE cards later they still hadnt got it right and the new cards didnt work which meant I could not pay any money in, check my balance or withdraw any money. 6 weeks later I have lodged another complaint - received a new card in the right name but it still doesnt work!! I was advised by the complaints department they could help me if I wanted to close my account - NO I want you to sort this out - I have no access to my account! I am still waiting for a senior manager to sort this out and I will be expecting hefty compensation for the stress and frustration. Although I am tempted to close my account I will not let them take this easy option - sort out the problem - pay me compensation and then I will close the account!!!!!!
