13.5 hrs of call time waiting to date and never spoken to soneone in the correct department in claims (as no one can deal with anything unless taking your money). Twice, i spent 3hrs waiting for someone to pick up and then the call cuts at the 3hr mark. They haven't closed a case that i didn't even claim for 10 months ago! Robbed my 17yrs no claims. Putting my insurance through the roof. Emails also send with no reply in months. Literally haven't got anywhere and has sent me to tears many times. AVOID AND RUN WITH YOUR LIFE. The other reviews show it all.

Have been on hold on both their web chat and my phone for 40 minutes and counting. This because they put the wrong date on my policy when I contacted them earlier to change my details. To change the details took 50 MINUTES. Something has really gone wrong with this company. If any other company is within £20-30 of their renewal fee, go with the other company. I will be next time around.

My car was insured with Sheila's Wheels for about seven years. I went over to them because they offered a very reasonable premium after I was ripped off by another company who, it turned out, wanted to charge me over £200.00 just for brokerage fees!!! Over the past years my premium stayed very stable, with very small increases. Last year's rate was £314 - this year it's £556!!!!!! I tried to phone Sheila's Wheels. But their phone number is no longer on their website!! I had to search all over the Internet to get it. They used to answer in a very short time, with a most friendly call handler who was pleased to help. This time I got several automated voices; I had to give them my policy number twice and then I was put on hold for 40 minutes listening to inane music with occasional even more inane messages saying things like 'Your call is important to us' and other drivel like that. This is no longer the Sheila's Wheels that I have been dealing with so happily. I suppose that they have been taken over by another company. I am now looking at other companies and I don't think I would ever use them again. They are no longer fit for purpose.

Just can't get hold of anyone. Shocking company. Didnt answer the phone for hours, live chat is with a computer that can't answer your questions and says to ring! No proper email address. Trying to cancel my auto renewal with no luck. I'm sure they'll contact me when the payment doesn't go thtough

I’m using two phones trying to cancel my policy. Sunday was 33 minutes with no response. Today using two phones around 10 minutes on both, still no response. They say they’re unusually busy on both days. Still on the phone. They obviously need more staff. I’ve had no apology or communication from this company I’m still holding on after 20 minutes

I tried to update my payment details today and was in a chat for a total of just under two hours. From finally getting somebody interacting in the chat to actually being able to make a payment it took over 1h. In the end, I was sent a simple link. Appalling customer service.

My car got serious water damage on the third of January. I have made many calls to these people and the service is absolutely atrocious. They doubled my premiums but stuck with them. Huge huge mistake. I have been told my car is getting picked up by there recovery service on 25th January. That’s well over three weeks from accident date. I have made many calls,spent hours on hold and getting absolutely nowhere. The people who answer the calls are not based in this country and tbh don’t give a damn. My claim is obviously still on going. Anyone even thinking about taking a policy out with Sheila’s Wheels please please don’t. They are an absolute disgrace!!!

f you buy a policy with Sheila’s wheels they will automatically put you on auto renewal. It is almost impossible to cancel this either on line chat or by telephone. No one answering either! My renewal has gone from £750 to £2500 with no claims or convictions this year, obviously I’m not accepting this, but they make it almost impossible to decline! Never again will I insure with these crooks

Trying to contact this company is a joke I have literally waited 5 hours on one occasion to get put through, only to passed from one dept to another. A hour wait is normal. I have even been in tears,they promised a call back guess what, no call back. I have written emails,no response either. My car accident happened 5 weeks ago and they still haven't settled my claim. Its like banging your head against a brick wall

It is impossible to contact these people. Their customer service email comes back as no longer in service. Telephone calls give you a long message and they are always ‘experiencing a busy period’. On 3 occasions I have hung up after hanging on for between 45 and 59 minutes.

Someone hit my car. The his son threatened to stab me. Shelias wheels put me in contact with a sub contractor. Who sent someone to look at it not test it or even lift the bonnet. Weeks later the sub contractor calls me and tells me my car is not fixable because of its age. 2005. I asked the contractor to let shelias wheels know. And they can contact me. No was the reply from them. I have no idea why it's mu job to chase them. Especially when I can't get an answer from shelias wheels. Two hours on hold. I will never use them for insurance. It would be laughable if it wasn't so unprofessional. I will have to seek legal advice at this point.

I have been waiting for 4 hours on the phone to cancel my car insurance. I waited 40 mins then they put me through to someone else which after 30 gets cut and I have to start over again. Not acceptable and then don’t get an apology when I eventually get through

Absolutely diabolical customer service. one hour 40 minutes on the phone and cut me off. Cannot contact complaints. Threatening letter when they cannot do their job properly. I have wasted 4 hours of my life trying to resolve an issue. JUST TRIED THE CHAT AGAIN... ANOTHER 30 MINUTE WAIT WHO THE HELL IS THEIR C.E.O?????

Would have been year 3 for motor insurance, no claims so can’t comment on how they deal with claims but if their customer service is anything to go by I can see why people are leaving in droves. I have received my renewal which has risen by 2/3rds, I was expecting it as I had been informed by a relative that all costs had risen. As my maintenance contract had come to an end (which included breakdown cover) I wanted to add breakdown cover to my renewal. After the half hour wait for a rep to join the chat I was informed that if I wanted to change my policy I would have to cancel this renewal (due to start 28.01.24) and buy a new policy. I ended up comparing a meerkat and got a different provider for £20 cheaper including upgraded breakdown (homestart, onward travel etc). Like many of the other reviewers I too will not be returning to Sheila’s Wheels. Appalling customer service.

Worse company ever do not go there people disgraceful customer services and cannot contact them has been 6 months since claim that was not my fault drunk driver wrote car off whilst in bed and he was arrested but they are saying its my fault get a grip company AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

Have tried multiple times over the last week to contact Sheila's Wheels by phone - on most occasions trying for between 30 and 50 minutes without getting through. I have been trying to contact them about an existing claim. No facility on website to do what I need to do; live chat directs me to call them; and an email to customer services advises me to call them. Won't be renewing with them again. I very rarely leave reviews - only if exceptionally good or poor service. This was clearly VERY poor customer service. I WILL NOT BE USING AGAIN!

At renewal time they did the usual of increasing the cost of the policy by £200. I phoned them and they said they could not do a better price so I found a better deal and cancelled. However, on their annoying website it is actually impossible to turn off auto-renew so they have you locked in forever! You cannot cancel either you have to ring up and wait in a long queue to speak to a 'customer advisor'. This is clearly an off-shore call centre probably in India. I was then assure that my policy would be cancelled only to find a few weeks later that they had sent two e-mails thanking me for renewing! When I went to confirm cancellation again online, which technically I should not have been able to access since I was no longer a customer I could not. A lengthy wait for India again, then I was transferred to a real customer advisor after an even longer wait who told me that she could not cancel my policy as it might trigger a refund and I was to check my bank account in case the money went out and then get back to them if it did! Does anyone at Sheila's Wheels have any control over customers policies or does it just continue to auto generate revenue regardless of customer wishes.? Finally I was told I could not complain as I had nothing to complain about and she refused to give me a Managers name or contact! Unbelievable. Avoid unless you want to be trapped in their auto renew website for ever.
