Purchased some children's gloves ..... £4.00. Found at checkout that I had also "bought" a £5.00 Discount Card that duly arrived via Hermes a few days later. They charged me £3.95 for delivery. A few days after this the £4.00 for the gloves was credited to my card with no notification or explanation. I told them I was very unhappy and that that charging in this way is sharp practice and demanded a refund for the card and postage immediately. To date they have refunded the £5.00 for the card but left the postage still outstanding. This is not on at all and they should be forced to cease trading.

Membership card fraud. They take your order, charge you for the membership card...then cancel the goods you have ordered, but still charge you for the card. They claim items are out of stock but the site carry’s on selling the items. Surely this is illegal.

If I could give them no stars I would! They are clearly going bust! I placed an order for a shelter that was in stock on their website and 2 days later the money was returned to my account with no notification or offer of alternative- nothing! I called them and asked what was happening as needed this shelter and the grumpy teenager on the other end just mumbled, it's out of stock! I did mention how was allowed to order something out of stock and he just kept repeating it is out of stock! I informed them it is is still in stock according to their website! He told me I was lying. It is still even there for people to falsely purchase now, probably with many other items. In fact on the few things I did a random check on, nothing is out of stock (and is on partner site of Blacks and Millets) and so it seems they are falsifying records by taking orders, not being able to fulfil and then refunding. Something is very wrong and the customer service is non- existent!! Absolutely disgraceful! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!! I am shopping local for everything now and have already managed to buy an alternative from a small business that does care about it's reputation and customer service.

MY FIRST EVER BAD REVIEW!! I believe this company may be going out of business and grabbing money by taking orders they can’t fulfill and refuse to refund before they shut down!! They have allowed me to place an order, even taken money to post it, and I’ve received nothing other than rude emails admitting they haven’t despatched anything but aren’t refunding me??!! No reason?? Has the law changed to allow company’s to become thieves and con men since covid???

ORDER PLACED IN OCTOBER NOT DISPATCHED BY DECEMBER, REQUESTS FOR EITHER MY ITEM OR A REFUND IGNORED!! GO OUTDOORS HAVE TAKEN MONEY FOR AN ITEM PLUS POSTAGE AND THEN COMPLETELY IGNORED ME!! I might as well be dealing with a scam company as what they have done is nothing short of theft!! I’ve had no refund, no delivery, not even dispatched, case closed!! Emails ignored. Disgusting that a popular high street store can behave like thieves.

Complete bunch of con artists. I ordered and paid for 2 different items in 2 separate transactions in the Black Friday weekend sales. They have now emailed me (twice) and informed me that there has been a mix up with their stock levels and neither item is available. It is now too late for me to order from an alternative source. HOW ABOUT YOU HONOUR YOUR SALE PRICE AND OFFER ME THE SAME PRICE WHEN THE ITEMS ARE BACK IN STOCK. OR WAS IT JUST A FAKE SALE?

I've made a large (ish) order - I was send half of the items and never told about the other half. When I called up, they said I can expect the rest of the order in 5 months, and I would have to pay FULL price and not the discounted price I paid on the black friday sales. I'm not one to write reviews, or get involved much like this. But I thought this was horendous, and would strongly, strongly advice you go somewhere else. I've always had a good service at blacks - it's worth paying the extra money to not be messed around so much. And the cherry on the cake is that the person I spoke to on the phone to discuss this was incredibly rude. Avoid. this. shop.

We have visited Go Outdoors Belfast twice in the last couple of days and have been helped both times by Will. He was just brilliant and gave us the correct advice regarding purchasing a bike for our daughter. We we’re so happy with the service and delighted with our purchase. It is even going to be ready to pick up tomorrow and we only purchased it just before closing today. Thanks Will. Wishing you the best of luck in your role😊

Went to go outdoors today to buy a down jacket couldn't decide so a staff member called Liz helped me out she suggested a few coats and I chose one and bought it a a Rab down jacket in the sale. Liz was really helpful and friendly very pleased with the service and my new jacket.

Ordered caravan steps with handrail 2 July 2020. Money taken and email to say we would be advised when in stock. No further communication. Made numberous phone calls and each time told refund could not be processed as IT issue was being investigated. No reply to emails or letters. Local store not interested.

I ordered an air shelter and 2 sides. Go Outdoors suddenly cancelled the main shelter order but still despatched the 2 sides, despite me reacting to their email notification. I wanted to cancel the useless sides and get a full refund, including the delivery charge. By the time their ‘customer services’ understood what was wanted, the time to return stuff had passed and I was referred to their returns policy! I now have 2 unwanted bits of waterproof fabric... they’ll do for the dogs to lie on when camping. Come back human beings. Come back common sense. Come back companies who truly care about customers. Have now bought from Millets.

I recently bought a few items from Go Outdoors, Inverness and was overcharged for 2 of the items. I did not notice at the time, mainly because you have to stand so far away from the till and cannot see what price the item scans at. I rang the store the next day to be told either come back (110 mile round trip) or phone customer services. I phoned customer services and was told that they could do nothing without the receipt even although the store assisstant confirmed that I had been overcharged. I'm still waiting for a reply to my email which included a copy of my recipt. I was overcharged by 50% and I'm totally hacked off at this service.

Now you have to wait 2 weeks for the item to go to store . 2 weeks for it to be returned and then 2 weeks until they scan it in and issue a refund please do not buy from this outlet. Cheaper and better quality outlets are available

a tent from go outdoors, over £1000 for tent porch carpet and footprint and it was faulty, so they exchanged it, it was only 2 weeks old, so I got another tent tht to was faulty, I have pictures of the faults, but this time they weren't happy to exchange but they did, then I got a vanguard 8 , and when we were on holiday the rain was coming through the material of the tent, holes in the stitching and the zip kepted breaking, so 2 days into our holiday we came home to change the tent and go back and finish our holiday, but they refused, this tent was only9 days old. So we left the store phoned head office and they said "go back to store and give them another chance to sorte this out!" So we did and the manger was worse this time, to ring head office he didn't want to. I have a proof of a call from head office for 40mins and the manager was implying to head office I was lying about a phone call and head office have on record of them phoning me , the manager asked me to leave the store or he will phone the police so I told him to get the police, while waiting for the police a customer was returning a tent and when asked from the store what's wrong with it, they said""nothing it's to hard to put away" so asked the manager how is tht right when my tent is faulty and u wont exchange, he told the police I was threatening a customer, I never spoke to the customer, I also told them I am autistic, The manager lied to the police and the police attuided to me was horrendous and I told them repeatedly told I was autistic, I have video evidence of my arrest, What are my legal rights to a new tent, any help will be greatly appreciated thank u, am also dyslexic, sorry if some of this doesn't make sense , I've loads more to tell on this whole situation xx I was arrested for not leaving the store until I had a resolution All the tents where hi gear Also I told the manager tht we where on holiday to rest as we've just had 4 weeks of hell with my daughter as shes now in hospital safe, so we went away for 5 days knowing she was safe , and why woul we come home early and try to change a faulty tent, and go back to our holiday if it wasn't faulty they weren't interested Also I was released from the police 2hrs later WITHOUT been Interviewed and NO CHARGES I've not slept properly and my mental health has been bad since this whole experience, Also no point have I requested a refund, we have always wanted s tent tht is fit for purpose, even now I just want a tent tht is not fault I can post pictures, but I dont know how x

After reading all these reviews I scared I would also be messed around and not end up recieving my items. What actually happened was, I made my order for three camping chairs and they arrived three days later exactly as described in perfect condition. The packaging was well done and everything went well. I am very happy with my purchase and as of sept 2020 they appear to sending my items fine. Maybe i'm just extremely lucky or they are not as bad as some unlucky people are saying. I have rated the service 5star as I have no faults with anything about my experience other than reading all this to make me panic.
