The prices are good so long as you buy a Go Outdoors discount card. They make it almost compulsory to have one because without it the prices are outrageous! And if you question the advertised prices, you get short shrift. Not especially happy with this situation.

I was charged twice for £130 walking boots and after many emails/calls over 4 weeks later I was refunded. However, few days later in September 2021 about 20/30 camp beds were delivered to my address in husbands name (named on boot order). It's £200/300 worth of merchandise we did not order. I have emailed many many times but each time I seem to get different operator. I have sent photos of excessive order etc but still nothing. An awful experience shopping with GO Outdoors online and I most certainly will not be back nor recommending. Absolute nightmare.

Absolutely dreadful service! Avoid buying anything online folks! That’s been two orders I haven’t received with no notifications of where the items are. Trying to talk with any of their team on the phone is appalling due to the noise in the background! Absolute shambles!!!

I ordered a garment on line, paid for it and received an email to say it would be 3-5 days. Now 5 days on and nothing. The carrier has only just collected it from wherever it was stocked to be delivered to my local store. Really frustrating because I wanted it for my holiday. In store, customer service is mediocre and the range of products isn’t what it used to be. Disappointing experience

I doubt anybody’s sorry in go outdoors. Brought some walking boots for £140 from Norwich after waiting an age to get served and failing to notice a parking time limit on what I believed to be their car park received £100 fine for exceeding limit three weeks later tried complaining absolutely POINTLESS. Tom the supervisor hung on me , won’t be buying anything else ever tosser!! Ps don’t know how providing an email address verifies a purchase,

Awful experience. They continuously made mistakes with my orders and cancelled items for being out of stock. Multiple customer support assistants asserted that they were in stock, and that cancelling them was a mistake/glitch. Then they failed to refund me for all of my orders, when it was meant to be automatic. Finally after refunding me correctly they took MORE money from my account and marked it as a purchase, when I didn't authorise anything; I made no purchase! I can't seem to get my money back and It's been exhausting chasing them. Furthermore, they do not have sufficient information on their own-brand products, such as items by "North Ridge". For instance, they have no idea what some of the fabrics used are, which is awful for walking gear. Unfortunately customer support couldn't help either. The only positive of this site is that their call centre employees are very polite & helpful in my experience. However, I can't say the same for their the email customer support, which was very bad. They gave incorrect information, didn't seem to actually read my messages and seemed more like automatic replies.

I went to Canterbury store today to buy a pair of walking boots, a member of staff asked if we needed help, after asking several questions the member of staff said she would get someone else to help us as she couldn’t answer simply enquiries, unfortunately the next member of staff equally had very little knowledge of the products, durability etc etc she gave us a pair to try and then walked away not even waiting to see if they fit offer more help etc etc , very disappointed is an understatement so we walked out with no boots/shoes!

They cancelled my order before dispatch due to a systems issue, when I called about a refund, they said they'd given it and PayPal must not have passed it on and there was nothing more they could do. I also had another order with them where they cancelled but refunded the out of stock items but not the discount card, which never turned up. Just as well as I have no use for it. I would not recommend these cowboys to anyone and will never shop there again. If you like throwing money away, then feel free to ingore this review.

Advertise a price on the shelf and in store and a 30% discount get to the till full asking price with no discount unless you sign up which they want to charge you for also. Looked online and actually found it 33% cheaper and more local. So my take on Go Outdoors over priced and paying to join a club which gives you no benefit is a complete waste of anyones time and money.

Item showing in stock, placed my order on line. Requested price match after seeing the same item £12 cheaper with another company and they cancelled my order saying the item was out of stock. Trading standards notified.

Avoid buying anything from them online. Absolute shambles. 3 weeks after ordering a Rab jacket, still not arrived. Phoned customer services, they told me that they had contacted the store and that the jacket was now out for delivery to me - wrong! Another week and the jacket still hasn’t arrived. Emailed them today, no reply but email from PayPal informing me that I have just been refunded £86. Looks like the company is going under, beware.

September 9th ordered some Lowa boots to go to the Lake district they never turned up - They was not in stock despite me paying for them and receiving an email to confirm waited 10 days to phone them when they told me absolute JOKE of a Company. " weeks later i see an advert online and look at items for sale so i order a jacket for my wife receive the same email confirmation. HOWEVER they never turned up despite saying it would arrive on Friday- it never turned up phoned them up Monday 18 ONCE AGAIN NOT IN STOCK WHAT A BUNCH OF CLOWNS. If you want to fked around for 2 weeks order from GOOUTDOORS if not DO NOT BUY ANYTHING ONLINE FROM THIS COMPANY absolute amateurs

Item purchased as click and collect was not in stock when I arrived at the shop having driven some distance... and then the shop manager tried to make out that it was my fault!!!

This company should not be allowed to trade, it is totally disfunctional. My advice is to avoid them. Took 2 month to get a refund on a cancelled order, thanks to paypal resolution centre. The company CS would not go it. It seems their policy is not to refund anyone.

After making two different borders at two separate times u have same result.The item is out of stock and apply for refund.So all the time you spent looking for the right product is wasted .The money side could be seen that they are doing this multiple times every day to keep a flow of money coming into their bank account.A few thousand customers a week equals a nice income on interest.I feel let down and I would not recommend anyone uses them if they value their time and money.

As my local store is too far AWAY, I purchased on line, big mistake, I would normally expect if goods go faulty to return on line, however customer service is zero as they expect you to take it to nearest store. Avoid dealing as you will regret it like me.

Terrible terrible service. Ordered 2 bags or Weber charcoal, 3 weeks later 1 bag arrives (packaging was not damaged or opened). Contacted customer services and was told I had to fill out a long form declaring that I had not received the package. I explained that I had received the package but there was only half the order in it. They refused to investigate why only 1 item had been sent instead said that I had to sign a legal; declaration that Hermes had not delivered the parcel so that they could claim the loss against them. I explained that not only was that not correct or ethical but was also illegal. The refused to do any investigation without this form so I filled it in and deleted the part that stated I had not received the parcel. They eventually after 2 weeks and 8 e-mails agreed that this would suffice. 2 weeks later, no word. e-mailed again and was told it takes upto 15 working days to investigate, waited the 3 weeks and contacted again was told then that the form had only been submitted to the relevant department 9 days after I emailed it to customer support, waited another two weeks email 3 times with no response. Raised a complaint through PayPal, got no response, had to escalate to claim through PayPal, no response. Eventually refunded for the missing item through PayPal claims again no response from gooutdoors. Terrible terrible service, I will NEVER buy from here again and would suggest others avoid too!

Initially ordered online from Ultimate Outdoors part of the same group as GoOutdoors, we were sent the wrong item so had to find time to take it to a CollectPlus location to return it. Re-ordered from the GoOutdoors website and again was sent the wrong item! All I can say is absolutely appalling customer service from such a large company. It has taken over a week to get the correct item and cost me £64.65 for a Rucksack advertised at £55.00 in store plus a £5.00 Go Outdoors card, whilst also using my blue light discount card. My time might not be important to GoOutdoors but a round journey of nearly 50km to return the items to my nearest store should not have been required, nor should have been the previous trip to Collect Plus to return the initial item that was incorrectly sent by them. Perhaps if they had not sent the wrong item on two occasions we would have not felt it necessary to make the 50km round journey to ensure that we got the correct item! I would also suggest that GoOutdoors provide correct information to customers as they now state that they DO NOT ACCEPT the Blue Light Discount card in store despite it being advertised!
