“I have been ordering these candles since I first saw an ad 4 years ago. I have always loved these candles, great throw, amazing scents, and great burn time. In the last few months I have placed 3 orders. I noticed the wicks were not evenly placed, and the scent wasn’t as strong as previously (I have been buying Apple Bourbon for a couple of years). While it used to make a whole level in my house smell amazing, I can barely tell the candle is even lit now. The candles burn faster than they did before. Overall in 4 years, I have placed a total of 27 orders. In the last few months, I have not received updates for orders running late which I always have in the past. I have received multiple broke candles in the last 2 orders. While I realize the broken ones are not their fault, replacing them is important. I have never had an issue with a replacement until today when I sent a picture of a broken candle in the packaging due to the multiple shards of glass (easily visible in the picture). It was not good enough for them, they wanted to see the candle out of the box which I wasn’t willing to do due to the tiny pieces of glass. I tried uploading the picture to this review, it won’t let me. Sadly, quality is definitely not a priority anymore and I will have to find a new candle company.”
“None of the candles smelled like the scents the were supposed to be. They basically all smelled the same. I would not recommend these candles to anyone.”
“I placed an order with this company and one of my csndles was broken into pieces and I have sent 3 emails and I still have not gotten a response back from this company and I have placed multiple orders with this company so I am very disappointed that they will not get in touch with me to resolve this matter!!”
“I love the candles - first of all - and originally ordered literally several hundred from the other top named brand and GC surpasses in scent and options available. No problem there. The shipping and customer service, however, are what will ground them. They have no intention of ever connecting live. Don’t expect to ever talk to someone as they can’t be bothered. I placed 3 orders pretty close together of between 7-10 candles each and they took almost 3 weeks to receive. There are no email updates except to say “UPS has your order” (and this is after you had expected to already receive them). Then you will get this same message many times throughout the shipping process. I sent emails and texts trying to inquire about any status updates (they give none) and lodged a complaint, stating this might be my last order. No response for awhile until the standard “we apologize for any inconvenience” and then a “UPS has your order” text the next few days. Ridiculous and unacceptable. Horrible customer service and there are too many candles options out there to have to put up with this. And - NO - I am not a bot or a high maintenance customer. Basic customer service should be a given. They take your money immediately but you are in your own after the order.”
“Their products are typically decent for the price. And normally they are pretty efficient shipping orders. However i placed an order 12/7/2024 and it literally just shipped today!! A day late and a dollar short...i had to purchase replacement gifts after a few emails back and forth they didn't seem to care to much will definitely rethink shopping here unfortunately”
“Placed an order over Dec 7th, 16 days ago (they were supposed to be Christmas gifts). When order was placed website specifically said I would have it before Christmas. Order still hasn’t shipped (now 5 days before Christmas). Called the company and was told a generic “it is our busy time and we are a little delayed in shipping. I can’t tell you when this order will ship”. Should have bought them from BBW. These candles are no better and this time of year basically the same price. So disappointed in this company!! Bad customer service and now I can’t cancel the order or have my candles!!!”
“I ordered two candles 9 days ago. The website states they will ship within 5-7 days and i have received no updates. After looking at the website i cannot seem to find a way to contact them to cancel the order. I also cant find a phone number.”
“I ordered the 4 pack 3 wick Christmas collection. “New” so sadly disappointed. No fragrance while burning. I questioned the scent right out of the box it was hard to smell them. After ordering I also had to continue to ask where is my order. Won’t bother with this company again.”
“I stopped ordering from Goose Creek awhile ago- Very slow shipping. And one of my candles would always arrive broken. But, they are having a good sale (and you can pay for expedited shipping!) so I ordered on 12/3. Guess what? It’s almost 12/12 and nothing has shipped. I ordered Christmas candles.
I am telling myself I will not order again. And stick to it. It’s a shame, because they do have good candles.”
“I used your candles quite a lot before somebody decided to change the recipe and you get the candle and it had no sense when I saw you advertising again I thought oh good they changed the formula and hopefully I'm going to purchase a few and hoping that they were exactly like they used to be well here's the thing they are not! very disappointed”
“I love a particular smell from goose Creek and ordered what I thought was candles, and unfortunately made the mistake of ordering some room sprays instead of small candles. I had intended as giving for gifts because everyone who walks in my house, loves the smell of my home and it is the candle that I burn from goose Creek. I notified them of the mistake that I made and was hoping they would return the room sprays at my expense and replace with the candles that I thought I ordered. It’s unfortunate. The customer service is not great. It took a week and three emails back and forth for them to give me a five dollar credit. I would have definitely been a great customer because I give a lot of gifts and candles are always in the gift bag. I purchased three room sprays that were Christmas scented and candles also. Absolutely do not like their fragrance, but did not mention that to the customer service person.”
“Smell is fine. Lemon. But it has a sharp burning plastic smell... others say it's the melting label or coating on glass. Backvto Yankee and bath/body. Also leave black soot trail up wall.... hmmm... soy candle??”
