“Would have given 0 rating if possible. GotRental completely messed up our tip by giving us the wrong information regarding the minimum driving license validity. We were told that the minimum driving license validity should be 1 year (which is also written in the email we received - screenshots attached), however when we reached at the Budget pick up point at Belfast city airport - they said they cannot let us hire the car as the minimum validity is 2 years. Also, tried calling on the number 02073737354, where the agent said to forward the email with 1 year validity, which I did and he then said that it could have been amended by us - not sure why would I lie about this, fly all the way from london, book AirBnBs around Northern Ireland - I am not that stupid to assume I would have been able to rent a car with my license when I would have been told that needed 2 years license validity. The agent on the phone also said that he was powerless and could not help us and that we should fill in this complaints form. The agent also said that I’ll receive a call from a supervisor, which I would most certainly require at this stage and that too asap. I am absolutely disappointed with the service as it has completely ruined my trip and plans for Easter holidays. Also, now that I try to find a car - firstly there are none available to rent at the last minute and secondly ones available are 3x expensive than the price I had agreed to pay. I will like to get my refund asap and also be compensated for ruining my plans and other inconvenience caused.”

“We have used GotRentCars to rent a car in Germany from Herz/Thrifty. Upon arrival at the airport, we were informed that Herz was not able to provide a car for us bpooked by GotRentCars so we had to arrange alternative transport. Since that we have phoned and emailed GotRentalCars numerous times to get a refund. The emails stayed unanswered, our phone calls completely ignored as if this company does not exist! I would be very cautious using this company for your rental choice as you might never receive a car, neither would you get a refund!!!”

“Worst Customer Service ever! I had a problem with the car I rented in Dec '22. It's been 3 months and I'm still waiting for a response. They don't answer emails, or through the online platform, and the customer service phone that they have in the website (*******866) doesn't exist!”

“FRAUDS!!!!!. SCAM These are a third party company offering you cheap car hire. You get to car rental place and they use Hertz, Thrifty or dollar. You then have to pay the car hire company full price. So you end up £100+ out of pocket. GO DIRECT AND SAVE YOUR MONEY. STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS.”

“THIS IS A SCAM I tried twice to reserve a car through GOTrentalCars.com and on the 3rd time I receieved my booking voucher, I arrived at the airport after a 10 hour flight with 2 children in tow and waited 45 min in the que to be told that they cancelled my reservation BUT GotRentalCars.com charged the full amount to my card and I can't through to anyone to get a refund THIS COMPANY IS AN ABSOLUTE SCAM!!!!!!! DO NOT USE !!!!!”

“Worst rental company ever We went to pick up our car in Florida and they didn’t have any cars!!!! Yes you read right !!! No cars I was directed to another car rental company who wanted double the amount I had already paid When I reported this I was told they would cancel the booking but I would have to pay a £50 penalty …..yes I have to pay a penalty because I couldn’t collect a car they didn’t have The remaining refund took a whole month to get back and I had to mither for that Seriously run …. Walk if you have to ….. don’t use this company please ….it’s a scam”

“AVOID! AVOID! Booked rental car with their sister company gotrentalcars.com. Had to cancel as flight got cancelled. They confirmed refund minus £25 admin fee. Its been close to 2 months now, have emailed them numerous times, and called - STILL NO REFUND. Absolute scam and shameless company full of liars and thieves. PLEASE AVOID!”

“I rented a car with this company, I prepaid it. At pick up the rental company (Budget) couldn't find the booking. I had to rent another car for 3 times the amount I booked before. Budget tried to call the company, but nobody picked up the phone, we tried the USA number and the European number several times. Also on email they don't respond. Now the rental has cost me 1700€ for 6 days, a simple car! After several complaints, still no respond! Never rent with this company. It's really a shame!”

“Booked and paid 3 weeks ago, only to turn up in Scotland to a third party rental that had no car. offered another car but had to pay more and wanted to stick £1200 on my credit for holding, although I had paid for full insurance. we refused to pay the extra and was told to leave. no refund speak to who you booked it with!! have tried calling and emailing and had no response. avoid at all costs.”

“I WOULD NEVER USE THIS COMPANY TO BOOK A CAR AGAIN. THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY COMMITMENT TO PROVIDE PROMISED SERVICES FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS. I booked a 7-seater automatic car for 3 days from Marrakech Airport (Morocco). When I went to pick up the car, the company Global (United which was renting out the car as their third-party provider) did not have a 7-seater available at the time. Firstly, they offered a 5-seater automatic car. After a long discussion, they offered me to take a manual car (I booked an automatic) and promised to change it to an automatic on the following day to be picked up at a different location in a different city! The car was a disaster: 1- The brake of the car had a bad noise (UNSAFE), 2- The radio was locked, 3- The front wiper did not work, 4- The rear doors didn’t open from the inside. They provided a number to arrange for changing the car which I called many times but no answer!! After taking the manual car, the next day I went to the new location for changing the car and they didn’t have an automatic car ready for us!!! Time and money wasted. I complained to the company and the company did not get back to me at all. I have hired cars from different companies before and never had such a bad service. They did not care about the customers at all. BEWARE OF THEM!”

“Avoid this company as they agents abroad which in Maroco they take your money as deposit and they will never give you the deposit back and they will never answer your calls . And the gotrentalcar.com also scam they never answer you and they put the phone down on you . Please avoid this company”
