Stay well clear if you are a business I took out a green flag business policy, I ensured I took out the highest one possible. In case of break down I then had a replacement vehicle for two days and my vehicle would be straight to the garage. First time I come to use them went like this. Had a technician out to my vehicle (not green flag they subcontract there entire business) he said there was no fault to continue driving, I continued with my working day for 20 minutes later the same issue with the vehicle I then waited an hour and half to be recovered to the nearest garage. As soon as my van was in the garage they said it would be at least a day or so before they could look at it and repair it so I contacted green flag to arrange a replacement vehicle as per my policy. I was told on the phone it was arranged for two days and to expect a call within two hours to arrange delivery of the vehicle I even was asked for the delivery address for the replacement vehicle. Two hours later I received a call stating that the hire company had no availability and to wait till the morning. The following day 11am I have another call from the hire company they say that they will get me a vehicle out the next day in the late afternoon so there goes two days worth of business and countless lost customers. I then asked what I would need to do the hire company said they don’t deliver the vehicle and that I would have to make my way to the office to collect miles from my home at further cost to me. I contacted green flag about this they said there’s nothing they can do it’s subject to availability and washed there hands of me I cancelled the policy on the spot. In summary I was stupid for going cheap stick with the AA you pay for what you get. If you are a business there policy isn’t worth the paper it’s written on there is no real cover for you. They subcontract all of there business out so there is no real support I’m sure they don’t employ anyone themselves Unfortunately as a new business we have learnt a very difficult lesson don’t rely on companies like this when things go wrong. I just hope we can recover from the damage caused

Theft from our account Purchased a new car covered by the supplier for breakdown , so cancelled Greenflag - all in order until they decided to take £89. 60 from our account 6 months later , this was from my Credit card clearly they had kept the 3 code security number .Disgraceful theft from my account , it would be usual to ask if I wished to renew , but nothing . Have now sent them 8 e.mails - filled in three forms on their site , wrote to their HO twice , all I received was 3 phone texts with a number on them meaning nothing to us . Tried to phone them but they are so so very very busy , I sat so long waiting for a reply I had to give up, - they have all my details but never bother to contact me , one message asked me to click in a link , up came Facebook , what I was suppose to with that I have no idea . In January they refunded me £66 , I am aware that the balance is not a lot , but this principle is for all to see , that they do what they want and refuse to make contact or deal with this issue in a business like manner . Will never use them again .

Very difficult to get in touch by phone to cancel due to selling my vehicle.Never had to use the service so can’t review call out etc. At last got to speak to green flag so all sorted nothing to pay and £24 in credit , only to receive a demand in the post for £12.58 !! I Would never use or recommend green flag again. I feel I’ve been conned.

Absolutely useless, first you have to endure one and a half minutes of drivel about using there app which doesen't work and hear about the text messages that they don't send you and then you have to listen to the agent telling you they are on the way, again and again and again. My car broke down at 21.33 on a Sunday night and I was eventually rescued at 14:20 on the Monday afternoon. It was minus 2 degrees and I had no heating. I was eventually rescued by taxi but had to leave my car and get a taxi the next day to the location where I waited a further three and a half hours. The first time I needed them and this happens, badly let down. I will be cancelling my policy and expect a refund. DO NOT TAKE OUT A POLICY WITH GREEN FLAG, BE WARNED.

Rip off!!! Thieves!!!! First ten 10 miles free. Happy to pay the rest of the way home which was 14miles. Turned out to coat me 141 pounds!!!!!! Apparently its £3.00 a mile ???? Nothing in the small print to say I have to pay for the tow truck driver to get home!!!!?? Didn't realise he lived in Tim but too!!!! Also known as Bradford. Forcing people in vulnerable situations to pay extortionate money to get home safe. Stay away! Please please abiotic green flag. Like I said before I don't mind paying just don't rip people off.

From notifying them of a problem to getting home it took 28 hours. They took the car and left me in a service station. Communication was appalling. I haven’t had an update on the car and don’t know when I will get it back

Never join these apparently when you break down at 3.30pm it's too late to send machanics just recovery without even looking at it, then the recovery because it's too late in the day to take your car anywhere apart from their yard and they will try and take your car to the garage the next day or even the day after!! Then inform you they will arrange for you to be taken home but never ring you to let you know how or when! I actually joined the RAC there and then who came out within 45 minutes and fixed my car within 40mins! The telephone agents are very rude and unhelpful too and don't answer the phones very quickly at all.

Paying in to this company for a number of years and the one time I needed them they let us down, the lady on the phone kept asking where we wanted to be towed to before she would process our recovery ,when we explained we were away from home and didn't know any garages where we were she kept saying your not listening where do you want to go?after 10 minutes realised we were getting nowhere with her so hung up and made alternative arrangements ,so frustrating dont waste your money on this incompetent bunch.we are now cancelling both our policies and going elsewhere .Rubbish!

When you really need them they will let you down or try and coerce money out of you. My car failed to start about 4 weeks ago, like most people I'm not using it as much. Same thing happened today (4 weeks later) so I have decided to buy a new battery. To get myself off the street I phoned Green Flag and asked for a jump. They said yes, but it would cost £150!!! To jump me so i could move my car about 30 feet back into my parking space. Not a good customer experience and I have now cancelled.

My husband has been waiting for you since 3.45pm today!!!!!! You knew he was in a van and the make and model of it plus the clutch had gone and you sent out a tiny van that was unable to tow him and the van driver told you so before he came!!!!!! My husband was then informed another vehicle will come between 8pm and 9pm tonight?????? 5 hours that is a disgraceful service!!!!!

Broke down this morning 17th January 2022 on way home from hospital. Both my daughter and myself are disabled and we had a flat tyre. I called green flag and was told maybe 1 hr to arrive. 3hrs came before a guy arrived and my car was put on a lorry to be taken to flat surface. He then said he could not change wheel as he had no tools. He then proceeded to pump up the tyre and put a temporary plug of rubber in the tyre only to be told to go to tyre place next day. This is the fist and hopefully last time I will use them. Renewal date I’ll pay the extra. I can honestly say total disappointment and was not impressed by there service considering my daughter is diabetic grade one with insulin pump and l have severe back problems hip and knees all no good. Thanks for service but never again total rubbish.

my car broke down at home was told online by chat help to call up and upgrade my policy to home cover and someone would come out phoned but was told i could not upgrade my policy as i had stated my car had already broken down so cancelled the policy now with RAC £1.50 a month more but unlimited call outs including home cover will never recommend green flag to anyone (cowboys) a breakdown service who wont come out because your car has broken down CLOWNS.

Truly the worst, most incompetent and dangerous company we've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. We broke down in light snow with 3 young children in the back of the car (including a tiny toddler). Immediately called Green Flag who checked our account and confirmed they would get someone out to us within the hour, and a text would follow within 5-10 minutes to give a better ETA - great. Waited over half an hour and called back - was told the first people they'd tried "hadn't got the right type of vehicles to rescue us" (from less than 1cm of snow, just a few miles from several large towns). However they'd absolutely get someone else to come out very soon - no problem. Called back 45 mins later as still had heard nothing, and the kids were getting anxious. Told the call was now with their "technical team" though they couldn't explain why, and they didn't have any contact with that team so couldn't get an update. Waited another 30 mins and called back, now nearly 2 hours after the first call - assured someone would call us back shortly. Waited 20 mins more and called back as now going dark and temperatures about to drop - told they "couldn't rescue us because their terms and conditions stated this was a safety hazard for their employees because of the

On the way to lapland with a small child. Clutch failed one hour from lapland ascot. Pulled over , called greenflag, only me and my young child in the car. Advised they would take us and car to one destination. Initially I said hotel but then changed my mind after ringing around garages in the area and establishing it might take 3 weeks to repair. Policy was to be taken home. Sam from collateral brought us to 'Frankly services' , she was just lovely, but couldn't offer us much help, this is the only positive to the story , thank you Sam. I asked if she could take us the Birmingham Airport to rent a car, she asked if she could but request was refused by control. I phoned greenflag to establish if they could get me a hire car, happy to pay. They gave me a number, which shut at 1pm in Saturday. It was 4pm by now. The relay from Gloucestershire to Liverpool, could have been 2 to 4 different stops. Then they decided no they would get me a courtesy car. The car arrived, 16 years old -no isolfix for child seat -Windows didn't work-fire hazard - all seatbeats in back of car smashed beyond use, except the middle one which was one belt across the middle -no sat nav - no facility to charge phone despite having 3 hours by the road side -pitch black darkness off a motorway with a small child - had to find a hotel off the motorway and wait until morning to travel home - 3 days later no car, no contact -asked if car could be dropped at a particular garage , which they did . But expected me to drive banger to garage to hand over banger. I kept telling them there was no isofix , I also have a new born. All day to and fro, 18 calls when I was in a meeting. Received a text stating they would be with me at 11:04, 12.10 nothing Then panic and call after call. Stated that they would put car back on the truck if I didn't come to meet them, despite dangers identified. Text me "truck won't fit down your street" and they were now dropping car at my address! Left car in the road by the garage . Umpteen calls to managers , worse than useless. Never again, green flag are appalling. What an awful experience, no compassion or empathy for the situation. Disgraceful customer service. No support despite circumstances and offer to pay in full. They just didn't help or bother a woman with a small child stranded in darkness at the side of a motorway worst nightmare. Investigation was even more insulting basically called me a liar...worse breakdown ever
