DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY Save yourself a headache from using this company. It’s not worth the money. I’m an experienced renter, over 100 times at least , and this was the most unfair and worst experience of my life. After an overnight trip we arrived at the rental center to inform us that they had cancelled our reservation. There was no email or text to let me know. Apparently they called us but I never was called and that was a lie. When asked why they cancelled, I was told because I made the reservation (2 months previous) in my wife and my names, two of us, and they don’t do that. What the…??? I asked about renting now and they had availability for an additional 1,000 for the week. So…they had a car, but I’d have to pay $1,200 instead of $250? Again, what the… Obviously we left and went to Avis for $800. Nightmare. But it’s not over Got home and realized they charged my card for the rental, $233. They won’t give it back due to “the terms of the contract”. Really? DO NOT RENT FROM THESE CROOKS!

I arrived a day late for my pre-paid two week hire to be told that as a 'no show' the car was no longer available. I therfore had to hire another car at cost. I subsequently followed the GM complaints process (ref 2707357) to be informed that my complaint was groundless. What a scam.

The Green Motion is scam company do not rent from them you will spoil your holiday, check reviews do not make the same mistake as i did. Their cars are full of scratches. Of course i took pictures of all the scratches and marked them ine the contract . but there are hidden places which is impossible to notice in trunk motor apartment under the car ect ... or simply they will send you damage photos from another vehicule most of them are the same colors and models. they know that is impossible for you to go back and check it. It is franchise company, you have to fight on both sides with the local company and headquarters

Speedy pick up and checking put and in process. Car was ideal, clean and tidy and staff really helpful. Would definitely use again.

Edinburgh Airport. Pre existing damage charged to credit card. The rep did not show us around the car, just issued the damage report, with "No existing damage". I took photos and took the report back to be told "don't worry about it" I returned the car out of hours so car was not checked back in. In my email Junk folder the following week I discovered the charge for the damage. It was reversed quickly when I sent the photos, but this is the opportunity this company look to exploit. AVOID!

Arrived one day late for a two week pre-paid hire at NCL to be told that the car was not available as I was a 'no show'. They kindly (?) let me hire another car at cost. What a rip-off !!

Stay away of this company at all costs! After returning our hire car at the Edinburgh branch, they claimed that we had caused damages to the paint and charged us over £800 although we have photos (with time and date) that show that the damages were there at the time of hire. The service is absolutely shocking and the risk of getting scamed is really high. Stay well clear of this company.

The company in Luton is a horrible place and the staff were awful. We were late by 1 hour and they tried to rip us off by £98..we were disgusted by the lack of empath and awful customer service...Avoid at all cost..not worth the pain they inflict on their customers...awful people

I rented a car from Fort Lauderdale airport through Expedia with green motion; when my husband and I arrived at the airport we waited two hours for the shuttle to pick us up and take us to their location but no shuttle came; Called the number that was provided at the airport and I left three messages, One of them was canceling my rental for the day , I was not able to speak with a human, and I was not able to cancel it online because I didn’t have phone services ; I had to book another car, I wasted three hours and obviously I had to pay again; Greenmotion did not agree to Refund my money, even though I did not use their services; terrible service, do not book with them; they deserve no stars, zero, big fat zero!!! Very frustrated!!

I wouldn’t even give them one star! ( newcastle airport ) I booked four consecutive weeks for work purposes. The first week was ok. The second time I got there I dropped my guard as the previous experience was ok. I checked the car for scratches and dents. Didn’t pay attention to the wheels as much. Anyway a few minutes into the journey the tire pressure light came on and I took the car straight back . Only to be accused of either bumping it somewhere or driving over something .. neither happened . I was shocked … the manager was extremely rude and patronising. I argued with them quite embarrassed and angry for being called a liar.. I was also late for work. They then said they would get it fixed and not to worry . Assuring me the issue was settled. When I brought the car back on the fourth day the slapped a three hundred pound bill on me and said that I had to pay it . I recalled the previous conversation - the manager quite rudely said you should have checked the car .. I didn’t know I was expected to check tyre pressure and scrutinise alloys carefully … they said you don’t have to sign we will take the money off you any way … how rude and disgusting . I felt conned. Had they told me on the Monday morning and been clear I would have cancelled my booking and the next two bookings too… Never have I come across such poor behaviour in all my 19 years of driving or hiring cars …. Shame on you …

**To all customers that have been the target of Green Motion Scams- please read** DO NOT USE GREEN MOTION (EDINBURGH WAVERLY). I was absolutely outraged to find they took £400 from my account in an attempted scam. Unfortunately for them (and poor Charlie), I took over an hour to check out the car and took multiple photos and videos. I attached the photo (with timestamps) and sent this to them yesterday to which they conveniently came back with the light is covering the (tiny) scratch in question (on the alloy). So, i've gone back with the video evidence and I also have multiple photos so let's see them worm their way out of this one. May I also add- that they are trying to charge £229 for a parcel shelf replacement- a parcel shelf which was disconnected and damaged when I collected the car. This was a complete setup and reading the reviews I'm not the only target of these scams. Unfortunately for Green Motion, unlike many others who place their faith in these unethical companies - I have all of the evidence. I'm also fortunate enough to know the right people. I'm asking all customers who take the time to read this to send me an email on ljbgreenmotionscamoutlook.com I will be reporting them to trading standards and any individuals who have been the target of these scams should also have a voice. I promise you- I will not stop until justice is served. Companies like this need to be shut down.

GREEN MOTION, GLASGOW AIRPORT - AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! I rented a vehicle from Green Motion at Glasgow airport for 1 week. The vehicle was driven a total of 48 miles within the week. On initial inspection I pointed out a scratch on the rear of the vehicle's paintwork and was told to just take a picture of it. On returning the vehicle they pointed out a scrape on the lowest part of the plastic bumper, which most likely happened at the time of the paintwork scratch and could not easily be seen. The vehicle was also back into a fenced area. The staff were totally horrible and condescending towards me, a female on my own and half way round the world from home! The vehicle was parked in a family driveway at all times and could not have been caused by me. I would never use this company again, they are rude, offensive, bullies and a rip off!! Please avoid them at all costs, or you will likely end up paying quadruple at least what you thought your rental would cost!! Green Motion is a very poor company in my estimation who seek to add further charges to their rentals! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

The worst car rental company I have used. They try to make money on everything. Finding small scratch and submitting you a bill for 150usd. Or making money even on your traffic fines. Will never usee this service again. Extremely dissapoitned. They are money raiders. Aram Badalyan

Why you should avoid this company at all costs: I have rented from Green Motion for years and was a part of their membership program. In 2021, I had an issue for the first time. Well, you learn how companies really work when there are issues. This was a very, very small issue and tiny amount of money compared to the thousands I’d spent with them. But they handled it horribly – Ali in customer service in particular – and now they have lost me as a customer. If this is how they handle a very small issue with a long-term customer and member of their program – imagine how they’ll handle any serious issues you might have with them? Avoid. At. All. Costs.

Leased a car from the 6th Jan 2022 to the 18th Jan 2022. First car was Hyundai Kona which has not been cleaned, had a slow car puncture and had red warning lights for brakes. I managed to get it exchanged with another one which had a puncture and I was told that i had to sort out a tyre as I had refused to take out insurance. This is ridiculous. Do these companies not cover tyre punctures? It says wheels are not covered but nowhere in the agreement does it say punctures are not covered. In any case I think I may have been given the car with puncture which is slow. The customer service is awful and this is probably due to the fact that this is a franchise. I would not rent from them again..They are a rip off....so it looks like you have a good rate rental but at the end of the day you are better off getting a car from mainstream car rentals.
