I wanted to return w/in the 30 day return policy. I had technical issues - there simple was no return bottom. Contacted customer service, that told me I was doing something wrong - but didn't help me fixing it. Some days passed (w/out further response upon my emails asking for support) and then I was told the 30 days are now over, you cannot return anymore ("and it was your fault") ... I can't believe that. “Ordered 2 items for my partner for Christmas, ordered 17th December and they arrived 23rd December, I contacted them 1st week of January to ask for a replacement as the T’shirt was faulty and had colour fading on the front, I waited 2 weeks for a reply and I made contact again. They replied the end of January and said I was out of the return policy! From my first contact and second attempt I was within the 30 day policy. They wouldn’t help or replace the item. I ordered two shirts and a blazer online. The package arrived at my office, but I picked it up a few weeks later since I was abroad. The blazer was fine, one shirt was a Large (custom fit)—which was partly my mistake—and the second shirt had a dirty collar, as if it had been worn multiple times.
Returning the items would have cost me €30 in shipping, which didn’t make sense financially. Instead, I reached out to customer support, attached photos with tags, and simply shared my experience: “Guys, I love your store. This was my first online purchase with you, but unfortunately, it wasn’t a great experience.”
I didn’t ask for a refund or anything—just honest feedback! Instead, they asked for more photos and proof, questioned why I contacted them so late (I was abroad when the package arrived), and seemed to doubt my claims.
Honestly, a simple apology would have sufficed.
I wouldn’t recommend buying anything online from them. If something goes wrong with your order, no one seems to take responsibility or provide proper support.”
“I am trying to return an item for about 10 days. I have opened a ticket on your website last week, which is still unanswered. I have also been chatting with your support team on whatsapp since Wednesday. This must be the longest ultra verified return i have encoutered in my life. “Paket kam völlig durchnässt/beschädigt an. Annahme verweigert. Der Händler bestätigte 10 Tage später, daß das Paket bei ihm angekommen ist, sagte der Inhalt sei in Ordnung und ob er mir die Sachen zusenden soll. Ich verneinte, mit der Bitte, mir mein Geld zu erstatten. Er sagte, daß das so nicht geht und sendete mir eine E-Mail, in der ich aufgefordert werde, einen Antrag zur Rücksendung zu stellen. In der Nachricht war auch schon ein Termin zur Abholung des Pakets bei mir festgelegt. Wie armselig ist das denn? Die haben das Paket doch. Die versuchen allen Ernstes im Nachhinein das Prozedere als normale Retour zu handhaben, damit ich die Rücksendekosten bezahle. Hätten die freundlich gefragt, ob ich ein paar Euro habe, weil die seit Tagen nicht gegessen haben, könnte ich das noch verstehen. Aber auf so eine ekelhafte Art sich Geld zusammen zu betteln geht gar nicht. Ich war in der Annahme, das sei ein exklusiver Herrenausstatter, da sie aber auf jede erdenkliche Art und Weise paar Euros zusammenbetteln müssen, wird das wohl eine Hinterhof Briefkastenfirma sein. Onlinebettler!!!”
“Terrible service and quality. I purchased a coat from them about a month ago, and decided to return it upon noticing that the fit and finish is way different from the photos that were listed. I made a request to return the item, however the courier that they sent (that costs Eur30), did not show up. I informed them about this immediately, and they booked another appointment, however the courier still did not bother to show up. After this, I sent them another email informing them about the issue, however received no reply. After that, I was not at home for about 3 weeks, and upon my return, I decided to write them another email telling them that nobody bothered to pass to collect the package (and consequently I did not get my refund), however their reply was that now that 30 days have passed, the product cannot be returned.
In conclusion, it seems to me that this was done on purpose, and that Gutteridge is nothing short of a scam. I purchase fine clothing from other online stores all the time, however this was my first and last purchase from these 'truffatori'. My advice would be to avoid at all costs!”
“Impressive: This has been the worst customer service I've ever experienced, with a returns policy that at least borders on the criminal. When returning items, the customer is supposed to wait at home for 48 hours (!) for a FedEx courier to pick up the return package. ("We cannot give you a more exact pick-up time.") However, that courier never acutally shows up within those 48 hours, which is then blamed on the customer. Clearly, the objective is to make returns impossible.
I can only WARN against ordering from this company.”

“I have purchased two suits online (order#00592486), since they didn't fit me I tried initiate a return request but Gutteridge website have a system glitch where it does not recognize US addresses, I then reached to customer service probably 16 times within 3 months (via WhatsApp and emails), and every time I start from zero to explain the issue to them and they promise to fix it and nothing happens, it is a complete headache and absolutely unacceptable way to manage your customers. Furthermore in between those months I happened to travel to Italy where I took the goods with me to drop it at their flagship store in Milan but they refuse to accept it, and they made me take it back to the US to make the return from there back to Italy which absurd and expensive to everyone not to mention environmentally unfriendly. I'm still waiting and hoping that they reach out to accommodate my return request. Super disappointed.”

“I ordered 10 shirts on 03/05/2022, all of which I returned in original condition on 13/05. I was refunded for only one out of the ten shirts I returned. Up until today (17/06) I have been waiting in vain for the full refund (another 351 euros), even though I have written dozens of emails. The "customer service" is totally fraudulous, because no-one EVER answered the phone. I've tried countless times. This is total fraud, and I feel I must give out a serious warning about this online shop!”
“I ordered trousers from Gutteridge and the quality and style is fantastic. BUT the size guide on the website is completely INCORRECT. After contacting Gutteridge by whatsapp several times they finally responded but they were rude and would not offer a refund without a fee nor would they allow me to exchange for another size. Eventually I ordered another pair of trousers (2 sizes and larger and 6cm bigger than my actual waist) but they were 40€ more expensive. Gutteridge didn't care and they stopped responding to my emails. WORST customer service ever!
