Ripped me off with saying I needed to replace parts that were not required Avoid these scammers or pay the price.

My son was mislead and over charged for unnecessary replacement parts. I complained and was told that it will be investigated. I had no further correspondence even after I send a follow up email. I will never use them again as my student son was forced to pay £ 300 for £50 part and a possible repair of even less.

Booked my car in halfords autocentre openshaw for wheel alignment online says online drop off will be done 45mins to 1 hour.??? Dropped off at my reverse slot time 11:30 then to be told they can't look at the car till 15:30 and the guy on Reception desk says to me the wheel alignment won't fix my problem car pulling to the left BUT there website says...Have you noticed difficulties with steering, or your vehicle pulling to one side? Are your tyres wearing on one side more than the other? These symptoms are classic signs of wheel misalignment Lets just see when i pick my car up later today what they have to say....

Car left for a major service with Halfords and paid the money after 1 year took the car to national tyres as it was cheap to interim service and the technician said that none of the filter have been changed by Halfords as they were OEM parts which Halfords only use Crossland. DON'T TAKE YOUR CAR TO HALFORDS... SCAMMERS... I have been advised by one technician which used to work for Halfords Byfleet that they put the car on the ramp for 20 min and bring it back and charge customers without any work done.

Over priced fiat 500 front light bulb by £5 1 minute fit cost £8. No mention of cost for fitting made. Just been ripped off my £13. Do not shop at Halfords

I ordered a bike online for next day delivery on 28th of november. Almost two weeks later and the bike still hasn't been delivered despite daily promises from halfords that it will be delivered 'tomorrow'. I have waited at home everyday for a 'no show'. This is outrageous. The same bike is now available at my local store but I have been told that I cant have a refund (to go and buy the bike from store) until my order has been returned to them. I am furious that the bike was a birthday present for my son which has now been and gone, And am beggining to disbelieve it will actually arrive in time even for christmas.

Halfords Leeds, Meadow Lane - AVOID AT ALL COST. I was booked in for an MOT test which my car failed as a result of a catalytic convertor. I paid £420 to get this sorted. Less than a month later my car had the engine light come on. I decided to take it back to them. They said to me that the oxygen sensor needed changing. I had to cough up £236 for this. Less than a week after this the light came back on so i took it back to them. They told me that the other front oxygen sensor needed changing. They changed it free of charge. However on my 2nd drive since picking the car up the light was back again. I took it back to them to which they said the catalytic converter needed changing again. So now i am left wondering why i paid all this money for them keep going round in circles and they are refusing to issue me a refund for the oxygen sensor at the least because the catalytic convertor they initially put in was to blame. I am 7 months pregnant and they dont seem to care that i used my babys money to pay for this. Altogether with the mot and service i have paid just over £1000 in a period of 5 weeks. They have no shame. Use at your own risk but if i was you i would AVOID like the plague. I am trying to warn as many people as i can so you dont fall victim like i did. I ignored what people said about halfords and now i am paying the price.

I took my car to do the alignment about 2 weeks ago. I was explicitly promised that I can try the car for a few days and if I found the alignment to be unsuccessful, I would get a refund. I came back today to the same centre and found different people in the reception. I explained that to them. They didn't acknowledge it and said to me I have to call the head office to get that sorted out. Another reason for my visit today is to readjust the handbrake. I changed the rear brake discs and pads 2 weeks ago at the same centre as well. I was told by one of the mechanics to come back any time to do the readjustment but the people at the reception told me I have to book an appointment for that. They just repeated many times how busy they are. So rude and not welcoming staff at all!! I can't imagine how could they say that to me! Aren't their customers the ones who have the priority to be served?? If that was not the case, then who would they be busy with? I will never go back to Halfords

Horsham autocentre - Full service, drove car out of car park and speedo failed! Never have had a problem with the instrument cluster unit, first time Ive user a Halfords service. Took it back straight away, was told nothing they could do! They got it display 0mph as 20mph ‘thanks’! Gave me a card of someone who’s going to charge £130 every 90mins to troubleshoot! Waiting now for customer services

AVOID Harlow Halfords Autocentre. Harlow Halfords Autocentre. I took my car to this garage to replace my brake discs and pads. They then contacted me to say the wishbone arms needed replacing (£243.88) I refused this as needed the car ASAP to get it back to another garage for it's MOT retest. A few days later I booked my car into a local garage to get the wishbone arms replaced and after dropping the car off they called and said the wishbone arms were fine and didn't need replacing at all! Had I agreed to this work over the phone, I'd have been £243.88 out of pocket for a part that didn't actually need replacing!! (I'll update this review as soon as this part is replaced) And who knows if the part would've actually been changed. I've tried complaining and so far I've been completely fobbed off whilst different managers all attempt to cover for each other (Despite me having the paperwork from them that states 'Front bush excessively worn' I'll never use a Halfords Autocentre again after this.

In my own opinion Halfords Autocentres are 100% useless like the Lack of Customer Service or Product Knowledge in their ill run Child Like Shops. I am over 60 years old and been driving for 35Years. It seems they employ little CLUELESS Teenagers on LOW PAY that could not Run a Bath. They have a very HIGH turnover of Useless Staff and this tells me a lot. When I have ever asked Halfords for Motoring advice on a Technical Matter the Little Kids they Employ say,,,I don't Know ...Right Thicko's that have NO Training with Low £££Pay. They are trying to get your £££Money but lack Product Knowledge and it is Wide Spread at Halfords JOKE Centres and Shops. I do not recommend anyone taking a Big Costly Risk with their Motors or Bikes. Avoid like AIDS Halfords are a Pathetic Company that employ Morons that DO NOT have a Clue......YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Dont take out bike insurance cant do the simplest of jobs cant put brakes back on properly! Dangerous! And forgot to put chain guard back on. Better doing it yourself!

on a visit to halfords cannock was so pleasantly surprised at the can do will help attitude of a young lady called AGNES i purchased a wiper blade and asked her if anyone could fit it for me seeing they were busy i expected to be told sorry you have to wait etc, she immediately said yes and followed me to my car fitting the blade in seconds with a lovely attitude and smile. The young lady is pregnant which made it even more amazing and is not ENGLISH which i say in nothing but a complimentary way and add that us ENGLISH people can learn a lot from this lady's attitude . i am terminally ill with Cancer and to me this little helpful act meant so much to me and made my day to say the least. I hope she works her way to the top where she belongs but knowing this unfair world it wont happen, god bless her anyway i will never forget her and hope she gets all she deserves from this world.

i used the dartford centre last year… i used the dartford centre last year and had occasion to complain about the way the front counter staff and how he conducted himself. The other day l visited them again and was shocked to find the cocky attitude still exists so it was off to Kwik fit where the staff act in a profession and courteous manner.

Halfords diabolical Autocentre Service MANCHESTER ROAD,BOLTON Tues 29/10/2019 @ 1pm HALFORDS ... MANCHESTER ROAD,BOLTON After searching online for a car battery, I decided to settle on purchasing from Halfords.The battery was £125 + £15 fitting,I took all the details and drove to Halfords Autocentre Reception on Manchester Road,Bolton. On my arrival there was just 1 customer in reception I assumed he'd just had work done as the person in reception was printing out his receipt, the guy said to me "I won't be a minute" after 10 minutes I was pacing up and down,just then two women walked in. Eventually the guy asked what I wanted,I asked if there was any chance they could fit me a battery,I gave him all the details of the battery and price I had been quoted by Halfords online. After wasting my breath giving him all the details,he decided to check himself and then told me "it's £140 fitted" (fancy that same price as I told him) then he said "I will have to nip next door to check if we have any, as it is a big battery "I won't be a sec 2. He then turned to the women at the back of me and asked if he could help them, after all this time being messed about I blew up and told him to forget it! Just before leaving I told him serve one customer at a time,he then mumbled "I won't be long" I walked out. I tried to phone Halfords,guess what? A long,long wait,I hung up in the end. If the rest of the staff are as slow and as the snail that served me (no he didn't actually serve me,he decided to serve somebody who came in after me.) they certainly need training. I have been a store manager for over 20 yrs and any member of my staff were as utterly incompetent as this assistant,they would certainly be getting a verbal warning,why pay bad staff when there is plenty good sales staff out of work.

Making story short and a massive disappointment with their service front new break pads were fit incorrectly and pads shims were missing after constant complaints I took the car to the car dealer services were they find this problem! Will never used Halfords ever again! They offered a free new fittings but after this experience I would rather pay to the car dealer services and drive safely on the road never trust again!

I booked to change my oil and filter, fixing next 222GW dash cam front and rear view on 20/10/19 for a slot of 4 hrs. A guy came and changed the oil/filter but told me that he can't fix the dash cam cos next 222GW doesn't support the rear cam. I asked him why didn't they called me wen they observed that the next 222GW doesn't support the rear cam. He told me that the office will call me back b4 Tuesday been 22/10/19. I waited for there calls on 20th,21st until 22nd around 1300 I ranged them and told them that they are zero in customers service. The lady that picked the call apologies and asked me to rebook for it. I rebooked for it on 26/10/19 for 2 hrs slots 1000 to 1200 On 26th,i didn't see anyone until I rang them by 12:02. They asked me to wait let them called the technicians. I waited for 15 minutes, no call from them. I ranged again, they now told me that they can fix my dash cam cos they couldn't buy the dash 322GW. I asked them to refund me, so that I can go and fix my dash cam another place. They are telling me, that it will stay up to 3 to 5 working days b4 they can refund me. I cancel my shift that was supposed to start from 1300 to 0100 just cos of this. THIS COMPANY IS AWFUL. DON'T USE THEM. NO GOOD COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THEM AND THE TECHNICIANS, NO GOOD COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THEM TO THERE CUSTOMERS. I regret using them. First time am using them, they are treating me like this. I gave them 1 star cos without any star, I can't write any comments. I have lost the shift money and still my dash cam is not done. Who will pay me for the money lost?
