We had a major service and MOT at Keighley Autocentre. During the service they have overfilled our Mercedes car with engine oil and damaged the engine. At first they admitted their mistake and agreed to repair the car. There’s at least a pint of oil that has leaked from the car onto our driveway. However since finding out it needs to be repaired at a Main Dealer they have done nothing but procrastinate and try and blame us. The customer support doesn’t exist and their attitude is appalling. We are now it seems we are having to get solicitors involved in order to get our car fixed. Nightmare!

Utter disaster, the staff know nothing, other than how to part you from your money.

I went to a halfords which was not my local store, but they could fit a dashcam earlier, so they said. Booked a dashcam fitting, got a confirmation email, then a reminder email. The day of the fitting, I got a reminder text. Turned up, only to be told that there were no people in who could fit it. I would have at least expected someone to contact me to inform me this rather than make the trip. I asked for a full refund, so I could go elsewhere, but of course, this will take several days, meaning I do not have it installed for the trip I need to take. Useless, do not book online, use another retailer like RAC.

Unfair Price Match & Customer Lock-In Practices Halfords price matched a product. However, their systems could not process the price matched amount. As a result, they advised me to pay the full price and they would refund the difference. I paid the full price via a gift voucher and the remainder via credit card. Halfords then processed the refund. However, they processed it partially via another gift voucher! They have done this to lock you into Halfords and to take more money (original voucher was less than the price matched amount). Their systems should be changed to process a price match, not having to pay the full amount, and then for Halfords to refund via gift vouchers. Customers should not have to deal with unfair lock in practices. Customers should have the right to determine how they want to pay for goods, not Halfords! Raised it with Halfords, but they refused to change these practices, so letting everyone know about their terrible customer lock in dealings. HALFORDS SHOULD CHANGE THESE UNFAIR PRACTICES. COMPANIES SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO ADOPT THESE LOCK IN PRACTICES.

Absolutely disgusting service at grimsby Halfords, I took my car back because the rear wiper I had put on wasn't clearing the rear window, the assistant broke my wiper arm leaving it hanging from the car, He told me to get it fixed in a garage, I asked for head offices number and he gave me two wrong numbers, I managed to contact Halfords claims and have been repeatedly promised a re fund and not received a penny to this date, please be very careful be cause there is no customer care or come back for the work you have done or the damage they do

Absolute worst service. Booked a battery to be fitted at my property. Paid extra for a time slot. Which they missed, they don’t call to let you know or keep you updated or anything. No courtesy call. Had to call at least 7 times. Each call at least 10 minutes before you get through to customer service but generally worse. The advisors although friendly and attentive are very unhelpful. They have no access to the technicians so are themselves unable to tell you anything in regards to eta or why the technician is late, which is ridiculous. So then they try to get in contact with ‘the Hubb’ who again are unreachable even by Halfords staff?!!? Halfords is a big company worst service. It’s ridiculous how they are unable to reach each other. WORST SERVICE, incredibly frustrating. How is there not a systematic procedure in times of emergency? This may not be something that happens often but not worth the risk if it does. Look elsewhere.

Booked for a dash cam fitting last week. Turned up at 8am as agreed for a one hour fitting to be told that they did not have enough staff and could not return the car until the afternoon. Cancelled the order to be told it will take 5 days to process this. Why the hell did they not notify me? Complained to customer services who simply said sorry. Clearly could not be bothered.

Voodoo Limba is the bike I've purchased, and it's definitely not worth the money. I bought this about two weeks ago, and i have to say I'm really disappointed, I was really looking forward to this bike. Some plastic piece fell out the very first time I took it out for a ride, gears on the bike are crackling and screeching, some gears more than others, bike switches gears with a very big delay which makes it dangerous to ride, sometimes gears don't even switch at all, brakes are making the most ridiculous noise, it sounds like it's worn out completely making some weird screeching and knocking noise, and what do you know, the bike doesn't break, I push both breaks all the way down and its still rolling, it was a really big purchase for me, and as I said I was really looking forward to it, but to say I'm disappointed is to say nothing, please do not buy it, I promise you its not the experience it's advertised to be. Also I must add, that after leaving this same exact comment on their website as a review for the bike, I got an email saying its been moderated and it can't be posted, so if you want to buy a bike from halfords do your own independent research, because it seems like they'll only post good reviews, so simply put, you can't trust Halfords

Payed close to £1000 on a mountain bike that's had more problems than a bike that costs a quarter the price. I orederd it before Christmas as I wanted to get into mtb but upon arrival the bike was already broken. Front disk was bent, derailleur hanger was bent so It skipped gears, loose cassete and punctured tires. I've taken it into the shop to get serviced more times than I've rode the bike and every time they fix one thing they tamper with another so I come back next week. The bike is unsafe to ride and shouldn't be sold, unless you want to spend another £1000 fixing it don't buy a Carerra titan x.

Why,( allegedly ) are Halfords drivers in Scotland being treated differently than their counterparts in England?Lower hourly rates of pay.No overtime rates, less holidays per year?? Same drivers who worked through this Pandemic, making Halfords millions. What could possibly be the reasons there is NO PARITY.It is the same company with drivers north and south doing the same jobs??

New look Halfords. I have used Halfords for number of years. The latest experience I found went entering was a member of staff asking what I was looking for. This on its own was OK although I felt if I required help I would seek it myself. Once I informed the staff member I was guided to another member in the cleaning product area which they gave me a sales spill on which (EXPENSIVE PRODUCTS) I required. I ask regards the chamey leathers. Which the sales assistant did not have a glue what I was talking about!!. A customer over hearing the conversation handed me the product.!!! Be it a new approach in selling. I had the experience of being forced in sales I didn't require. It would be helpful if the staff are approached from the customer rather then the other way round.

What a mistake that was. The first time I used the bike the handle bars started to fall forward, I was lucky this time as it didn't start to happen until I was work. I tightened the handle bars back into place and it was far for another two weeks. On the 21st September ( this was delivered the 24th August) I was riding my bike to work and the handle bars because loose and the threw me into the road. I was lucky the driver of the driving past was paying attention. After checking I was ok i looked at the bike and that's when I noticed they had become loose! I asked for someone to pick me up and take me to the Ashton shop. The guy there said he is shocked managed to ride this! So not only was the handle bars an issues, the brake where on to tight, the gear box wasn't set up correctly, some main bit of the bike wasn't tightened and one of the peddles wasn't put on correctly. I wouldn't bother calling their customer service, they are joke. So I email Halford and they asked for a report from the store. Now because the store has sorted out getting me a new bike they don't want to know about how I am! I did go to the hospital for a check up. The doctor said I'm lucky and just very bruised all over. Halfords are not interested in offering any kind of compensation for the day of work I missed because of their faulty bike or checking to see if I'm ok. The lad at the shop was so lovely and couldn't do enough, just a same the overall company doesn't give a dam about their customers.

unhelpful unfriendly untrained staff, highest priced products this brand is best avoided at all costs. I took my bike in for repair, had to cycle 9km to get there in the rain across fields. The bike was obviously covered in mud and i received it back three days later in the same state and with a further problem which wasn't the problem in the first place. Hopeless company avoid.

Firstly halfords are not sorry they give a terrible service, if they were they wouldnt have half the complaints that are on here. they employ poorly trained staff that deliver little or no service, at best they can only just muster a hello and their customer service is diabolical. i ordered something in, paid up front got fed up of waiting asked for a refund and was cut off on purpose because they would give me a reference refund number incase the payment was never refunded , hence i would have to proove i had rung up and had they given a ref number i could have used that to complain further with absolutely disgusting !! AVOID

I took my bike on to swap a chain. The mechanic barely managed to do this and broke my dropper seatpost on my £4000 mountain bike on in the process right in front of my eyes!! They have claimed that it was like that when I brought it in. I know it wasn't. They have conjured up an excuse and have dug their heels in denying causing the damage. I have since had the problem fixed by competent mechanics at my own cost as Halfords refuse to take responsibility and pay for the repair. I will never set foot in Halfords in Hamilton again.

Having waited 3 weeks for a repair slot I was phoned the day before to say the only person who could do a relatively simple repair was self isolating and I can’t get another repair slot for another 22 days
