Attended Halfords Waterlooville in December 2017 to purchase a 2 Din Radio for Xmas present and also purchased cables and paid for fitting to a 2003 Rover 75. Everything arrived Xmas week, give as present then prebooked for fitting on 4th January. Wrong cables and fascia arrived so fitting not completed. Stored worked hard in the following days to track down, what turned out to be non standard stock items by contacting the suppliers directly. Received call to say they think the now have all the correct items. In the time I was waiting for Halfords to sort out problems I had read on various forums that there were real issues getting the correct fascias etc. Anyway, went back to Halfords, they fitted the radio and did a fantastic job of placing everything, including the microphone, Aux cables and looked fantastic and professional and I appreciated the effort the store went to complete the fitting. As someone who as worked his way up in Retail over 30 years for a FT250 retailer I am totally aware of all aspects of Retail. Halfords Waterlooville set a standard that is sadly being lost by many retailers these days. Well done to the team for their tenacity

Simon from Halfords in Rose Kiln Lane Reading did a great job fitting both dipped headlamp bulbs to my car today. Couldn’t have been more helpful. Restores your faith in human nature!

The whole experience was time consuming and frustrating as I couldn't easily identify what I needed. I spent many minutes reading through a list of different makes and models trying to find the components I needed. In the end I had to ask a salesperson. Who didn't know either. He then had to go outside and measure the component on my car before making a recommendation. The components were quite expensive compared to what I could find on line.

Poor service from Sheffield Kilner way purchased a britax isofix car seat online to be delivered to store, asked for it to be installed and checked and it felt like I was asking too much, might I add the time I went they wasn't busy and it's a good job I checked on fit finder to make sure it does as a lot of parents wouldn't not once did they double check to see if it did and I told the gentleman I wasn't paying for it until I know it does fit he rudely told me I had to install it to make sure I knew how to fair enough, he also told me i had to move my car which was parked bang outside the store to the disabled bay 2 spaces across and the young man he asked to install it and go through everything with me he was excellent apart from that poor to say you are a company that is specifically catered for bikes cars etc you should really be making sure you know what entails in selling a car seat and make sure everything is correct and right process is followed to say I use to work for a rival company in selling car seats it's a good job I know what to do as I said a lot of people Don't!

Part extortionate price, I bought a 477 bulb,to be told it was £10 each, I queried this to be told no price was correct, other car parts /garages being sold for around £4to 5 each, last time I will shop at Halford,halfrauds!

Very helpful+knowledgeable staff. We have not had cycles before but Simon was patient, giving us sound advice for what suits us+what we need them for. Absolutely no pressure and no rush even though it was closing time. Chris helped us choose an appropriate sat nav. Telling us the difference between the different makes+models. Lovely staff. Went to collect my so’s bike for Christmas and Halfords can not find my order. Rather than offer a way to solve this, Halfords response is we cannot get another bike ready for Christmas! What a way to spoil a child’s Christmas!

I was left with my car at Halfords West Bromwich by a tow truck ordered by the RAC who did not book me in for my repair and the branch was fully booked. I waited from 1pm to 4.30 to be picked up by the RAC to take me to another Halffords when the branch manager Andy who could see I was distressed said he would repair my car. I burst into tears as I had had enough and wish to thank him for his 100% customer service.

They charged me £700 for a service and cam belt but could/would not give me a detailed checklist of what had been done. I got a receipt with 6 words about what was done. They told me "we don't do em no more". Rang Head office who palmed me off with nice words but no action. How can I know what needs doing ? I'm going to have to get it all done properly by a proper garage. What a bunch of incompetent scammers.

I have recently visited Halfords in Lakeside Retail park in Weston Ave, Grays. Too many staff paid for doing nothing. There were at least 4 members of staff chatting near the till amd none of them meither greeted me nor approached me asking if I need any help at all. I was wandering around and even seeing me struggling none of them came to me and offered help. After 10-15 minutes I approached them and asked to help me to choose the carseat for my little one. And before I started to explain an older member of staff (a male with beard, didn’t bother to introduce himself) straight away jumped to conclusion that my current carseatt is good and nothing was wrong with it. He had no idea that I was looking for the second one as we wanted to put one in my husband’s car as well. He also didn’t hesitate rudely push my baby inside the pushchair to show that my car seat is good already which I knew already. Anyway I just stepped away and left the store feeling that I will not get any help from any of them. Oh well Halfords keep loosing money ;) And I will go to other shop to spend some money lol
