AVOID!!!! AVOID!!! 🛑🛑🛑🛑🛑🛑🛑🛑I Had a major service done in Bridgend to my AMG Mercedes, I dropped the car off at 08.30 as arranged and asked them if I could collect it back at 16.30 because I needed to pick my daughter up, turned up to pick the car up and it wasn’t ready!! Baring in mind it’s been in the garage for 9 hrs at this point!! 9 hrs and they haven’t even completed a service!! Waited and waited and by this time it was 17.30 I’m late to collect my daughter the car was still being sorted.. 10hrs for a service that was booked in!! Got my car back and everything was fine the car was driving fine etc and then driving home the following day I had abs, traction control, parking and a warning light saying stop and basically saying do not drive the vehicle and check your manual book for the warning.. took the car back to Halfords and told them, they plugged it in to there computer and basically wiped everything and off I went thinking they didn’t reset it or something, the following day the same thing happened so I takes it back they plug there computer in had a look basically pressed some buttons and then done a battery test and then told me I need a new battery at the cost of £250!!! Baring in mind now MY CAR WENT IN WITH NO WARNING LIGHTS, NO ISSUES WHAT SO EVER!! I just wanted a service with all the break fluid, oil, filters etc done! Phoned customer services and explained to them to be told sorry sir there’s nothing we can do!! At this point my blood is boiling!! I payed over £300 odd quid for a service, Halfords Obviously haven’t done it correctly or just plain as day do not know what they are doing!! then to be brushed of with it needs a new £250 battery fitted and it needs to be coded 😡😡 absolute terrible company and would never use them again and I will be taking this further!! What turn out to be a perfectly functional working car with no issues what so ever and then to be taken in by Halfords for a service and now it can not be driven and is parked up on my drive!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Terrible service received , order cancelled after receiving confirmation email stating fitting would take place at proposed time (for which I payed a premium for). Received email a few hours before fitting slot telling me fitting would take place etc... 30 minutes later received an email telling me fitting had been cancelled with no explanation as to why. Three calls to the so called help line , each call taking 20 - 30 minutes to get through or being put on hold only to be told the order had been cancelled. What use is that? Quick enough to take my money but when it comes to explaining something quite simple seems to fall on death ears. Appalling service, wasted my time and took a day off work for fitting. Do not use.

i went to putney rd shop for sandpaper ,the aisle was tapped of for stock movement and was told i could not buy anything from that aisle.

I had a deeply unsettling experience with Halfords' mobile fitting service, particularly with one of their mechanics, during my appointment on 02/05/24. The mechanics behaviour was unprofessional and outright harassing, making me feel unsafe in my own home. From the moment he arrived, his frustration and aggression were evident, questioning whether his inability to find my property was my fault and attempting to provoke me with his remarks. Once the job began, his inappropriate comments about my appearance persisted despite my discomfort, creating an incredibly uncomfortable environment. He made comments about my body, kept saying I was beautiful, doll like and questioned how I was single. I will add that I am a younger woman and he is a much older man. When my friend came down to check on me his aggression escalated, making suggestive remarks and displaying aggression towards her. He refused to carry out the work if she was there. Even after the service was completed, he continued to make unsettling comments, further contributing to my distress. Furthermore, the response from Halfords' executive office was disappointing. Their reply was a standard one, and they cited staff confidentiality as the reason for not providing an outcome, so therefore I doubt I will be hearing from them again. Additionally, prior to this appointment, there was a previous instance where Halfords failed to show up and didn't bother to call. This pattern of poor service and lack of accountability raises serious concerns about Halfords' commitment to customer satisfaction and safety. I strongly advise others to think twice before engaging with their mobile fitting service.

Avoid this company at all cost, would give it no stars if I could. I took over an hour to book a bronze service and get my puncture fixed at the Stockton-on-Tees store but when my partner took time out to take my bike to the store was told very rudely and abruptly that they don't fix ebikes that weren't bought from halfords but at no point was I told this, really bad service from start to finish. I will tell my friends and family to avoid.

I managed to completely snap the screw holding on my number plate and it could not be screwed back on.... it looked like a Honda dealer fix at great expense ☹️ until a fabulously helpful and kind young man called Justin at Halfords Park Gate, Fareham, came to the rescue. Believe me, this was not a quick fix! I was ready to celloptape it on and head off to pay Honda dealer prices.... but Justin worked in the 70 degree heat to sort the damage.... Justin saved me ALOT of time, hassle and expense by going above and beyond. I can't thank him enough. All the staff I encountered were nice, but seriously, Justin, you saved an old lady's bacon with your help. Cheers 🍻 👍

Excellent service, needed 2 new batteries for my Landcruiser, ordered online yesterday for home fitting service that was carried out today by friendly and efficient staff. Have now ordered 2 tyres for home fitting. Very easy and hassle free

Avoid Avoid Avoid Avoid Avoid Avoid. Under no circumstances buy car secuity equipment from these people. Purchased a security system for my BMW and not only did it not function properly, but it interferred with the electrical systems. After a long battle they finally agreed to take the equipment back after refusing to remove it due to not having either fitters or the experience to remove it. They then offerend me compensation which they later retracted owing to not fitting/removing the device, even though they have no fitters and they one store that did was not capable of removing it after telling me they could and me booking a day off work. All this aside trying to get through to customer services is almost impossible and you will be met with a whole new level of incompetance. Then should you be lucky enough (for want of a better word) to get a claim handler they will ignore you, lie to you and then reject anything they offer you. I would have given 0 Stars were it an option. I advise you check Social Media, TikTok and Google to see a corollary of these type of complaints. It is no wonder the store is going under. Avoid Avoid Avoid!!!

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE! They have a faulty system that will take your money without processing the order on their side even though you get a rererence number and email, then if you ask they do not refund you and even looking up online it says it can take up to 30 days to process a refund (when they actually decide to do it) and 3-5 working days after that to receive it in your bank! Customer service does not assist whatsoever and even managers do not care and do not call back after promising so. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Thanks to Halfords I no longer have a complete service record as even though the garages tell you your online service records would be completed Halfords have seemingly decided they are having a break from it . NEVER AGAIN

Halfords are hands down THE worst retailer I’ve ever dealt with. Can’t be bothered to waste time / effort on a lengthy review. But, my advice would be to avoid at all costs. I will be a lifetime advocate for never, ever using Halfords!

If there's a half star, I would click on that It's been a whole year that I hold my words not to complain by writing, unfortunately, the recent cases really need to be reflected/to let someone concern and never go for it 1/. Scam : First try to join the membership last March, cos there's nearby Halford for my MOT, after checking they called me saying front screen wipes needed to be changed, I pay extra to change, the point is that wipes' quality is awful and much worser than my old pairs, my husband back from the trip mentioned in fact he just changed a pair of expensive one just a month before my MOT check 2/. Poor Service : When I picked my car, the staff said everything was alright, but the "Service" light is on, I asked why is that, he simply replied " well we can't fix it, maybe you need to go back to Peoguet for fixing it, may I ask why I need to came here then? 3/. Cancellation of membership : It's been paying by autopay on my credit card, right after the 1st payment in March last year, I already requested for cancellation because of the above services, they said you CANNOT cancel it until 12mth later in April 2024, but then, right after the payment of this year, I called and tried live chat few times for requesting a cancellation also to make sure NO "auto renew"/"auto payment" , it's always coming back with the same sentence " our dedicated team would contact by email or call within 24-72hours" , NEVER ! Not even once after my 4th trying to cancel the membership, such time wasting and scam, cos if I cannot cancel it, that would definitely auto renew in 18th April by the reply " I would like to inform you that if a premium membership renews then it will be charged from the card which has been ended during the signing-up".... There's no direct phone or email or online unsubscribe for cancellation ? Am awaiting another round of the so called dedicated team now, cross finger

Firstly, the website for booking online is shockingly bad, I made two attempts to book a service using their Payment Assist scheme - the first timed out, the second seemed to go through but I didn't receive an email confirmation and nothing showed up on my account. Halfords online chat had no record of the booking, so I called Payment Assist and they had my payment details and said I needed to contact Halfords again and ask them to connect the order with the payment. Halfords, now on the phone, had no record of the order either, even though my payment details and finance plan had gone through. At one point I was put through to the actual garage who said the day I wanted was fully booked - and yet, if you went on to the website it still allowed you to book that day! There was no real connectivity between Halfords, the finance plan company and the garages. Oh and when I first booked I was quoted £137 but when I checked again after speaking to customer service it was now £165. Never again am I going through all that hassle.

They refused to change their Wipers blades which they fitted in my car and didn't suits it, it impinged the edges and makes a noise when I switch on.
