""i had mot at halfords llanelli before i took the car for mot i asked if the car failed mot was there a fee for re test i was told no but when the car failed i was quoterd 200pounds for work on car i thought wow thats well over the top for discs and pads i took it down to a mot center i mile down road had the work done for 110pounds phoned halfords for re test then informed there would be a charge of17 50 for re test so if u have them do the work on ur car there will no charge but u will pay theyer exessive highe pricess

I recently purchased a Nextbase 512GW dashcam from Halfords and booked my car in for the camera to be hard wired into my cars fuse box. Looking on Halfords web site it said professionally installed and the cable would be supplied for 30 pounds. I was told it would take an hour so I returned after the hour and paid the 30 pounds. On returning to my car I noticed the camera was hanging down and the passenger side windscreen trim was loose, I also noticed the cable supplied with the camera was missing. I returned to the shop to enquire about the where abouts of the cable and was told it is used as part of the installation, I questioned this and was given a new plug in cable. I took the fuse box cover off to look at the cable installation only to find a plug in adaptor had been used and my original cable was plugged in and taped in place with insulation tape which I deem unacceptable. I phoned Halfords only to be told this was their standard procedure and I would have needed to purchase a Next base hard wiring kit for 20 pounds to do the job without using my original cable. I told them I was not happy but again was told that it was their procedure. I've decided to buy a Nextbase hard wire kit from another supplier and install it myself and will be reluctant to use Halfords ever again.

I checked their "bulb finder" app instore and purchased the appropriate LED bulbs for the reversing lights on my Mini. I also asked them to install them for me. For whatever reason, it turned out that the bulbs I had purchased were not suitable for the reversing lights. However, the Fitter was kind enough to find the correct bulb and to fit that for me. He was able to install the other set of bulbs as LED replacements for my rear indicators which was great. The Fitter was knowledgeable, efficient and very helpful. Will definitely use the fitting service again.

An excellent offer on a gas stove for camping. £7.50. One almost the same in another outdoor goods shop in the middle of Carlisle was £21.
