Home Depot in Palatka, Florida, has an employee in the lumber section that deserves a shout out! His name is Roby. Whenever I come into Home Depot to buy some lumber, he is on point! He is knowledgeable and friendly. He is always eager to help and I look for him when I am there and need help. Keep up the good work Roby!!

Unbelievably bad experience. Went in-store to order a new microwave and paid for it. Projected install date was June 15th, 2020. On June 9th, received an automated message that installation was delayed until July 1st, 2020. On June 27th, received another automated message that installation would now be July 16th, 2020. After leaving messages for the salesperson (which were never returned), despite leaving 2 messages. On June 19th, I spoke with another employee at the store, who told me there were delays and back orders and that even though the newest delivery date was July 16th, "not to count on it and it may be later". I wrote an e-mail to the CEO, Craig Menear about the problems on the following day. I was finally contacted by both "Tammy" an "Executive Escalator" about my issues, and she delved into it and kept in touch. Make a very long story short, after numerous emails and phone calls with "Tammy" at the head office, and "Carley" of GE appliances, it was determined that the microwave I ordered was on a very lengthy back order (which no one told me about and just kept shifting responsibility around) and that they would provide me with an upgraded microwave at no additional charge, which would be available for delivery and installation on July 11th. Not having heard about the time frame for delivery on the 11th, on July 10th, I contacted customer service again to find out the delivery time for the 11th and was told by "Linda" (who put me on a lengthy hold, while she talked to the GE vendor, "Charlotte"), that delivery would be on July 11th....to the warehouse! However, the actual delivery/installation would not be until Tuesday, July 14th. Not more than 10 minutes later, I received an automated call indicating that the microwave installation was delayed until July 17th!! After contacting customer service again ("Tiffany") and on endless holds, she didn't have a clue and said the item was on backorder! Even the substitute? She didn't have any idea and at one point, asked me, "Has the microwave been delivered?" (Duh!) Following this, I updated "Tammy" with 3 emails about this fiasco this afternoon, but have not yet had a response. This is absolutely ludicrous. Even given COVID, delays, Home Depot hasn't got a clue what is going on, there is no communication, no one knows what anyone else is doing, the status of orders, delivery dates, etc. and it is a mess. All I want is my microwave, which has now been almost 8 weeks since ordering and I was NOT told that there might be ANY delays at the time. Surely, in this day of modern technology, Home Depot should be able to know if it's vendors are able to supply the products, or tell the customer of potential delays. And, certainly GE should also know that to suggest that items are available at the time of order indeed are! Bad communication (or lack of), right hand doesn't know what the left is doing and basically ambivalent about the customer. Although Home Depot is close to where I live and I usually shop, no more. I'll go to Lowe's, which is further away. I know they are also a "big box" store, but my orders with them have not been unsatisfactory. Home Depot.....get a grip on it, people. Just because you are "big" doesn't mean you can't fail and go down, like many other giants in industry. Pay attention and get your act together!

Stay away they don't enforce masks, and they let way to many people in store. Got a touchless card, well don't count on that either.

I ordered a chest freezer on April 29th with a delivery date on July 1st due to backorder over Chinese Coronavirus. The day before delivery, the delivery was changed to August 5th! The delay significantly impacted my business operations. I asked for compensation for delayed delivery and/or the last minute notice, and was denied. Thanks for nothing HomeDepot!!!

Beware of Home Depot Gift Cards and Store Credits! Home Depot is refusing returns on items purchased with store credit from gift cards. On 6/10/2020, I purchased $140.78 in items at the Prescott Valley Home Depot. I used a store credit of $8.70, left over from a gift card. That afternoon, I attempted to return an item that was not what the Home Depot employee claimed it was. My transaction was denied because I used the $8.70 store credit for the purchase. I had my receipt at the time of return and was told by the store manager it would be taken care of, but I would need to write a letter disputing the denial of the return. It was not taken care of as the store manager said it would. I wrote a letter on 6/11/2020 explaining my situation and have not heard a thing from Home Depot. They have locked up my transaction with no possibility of return. Avoid Home Depot gift cards and Home Depot store credits.

it is disgusting to make your customers touch the scanner tools to check out at register, especially during covid crisis, and also let dogs and animal roam the store

I have had a problem with home depot since May 1st of 2020. I came to the store to look for a washer and dryer for Mother's Day and pick out the one for her now I usually don't deal with home depot for stuff like this because of your ratings and yes I read all reviews before purchasing anything from a store. So I purchased a washer and dryer from the home depot because she said she wanted it from there because it was close to home. I was very leary but that was where she wanted so I went. Purchased the MVWB765FW washer @642.00 and MGDB765FW dryer @ 753.00 with a 10 % discount on appliances @ 396.00. So they never checked to make sure the product was in stock when I paid the money. They sent me an email on May 8th stating that the dryer was not available until Saturday, July 18th which I thought was ridiculous so I went to home depot and asked them why so long for the dryer they never told my mom that the would have to build a whole new dryer because they were out of the one she wanted. So I tried calling a couple of times just to get hung up on which is very disrespectful at any given time. When I got to the store they had already talked with someone through customer service so they were gonna upgrade her to the newer model which was fine at the price we already paid for. So when salesperson Janette JJA6MYQ called back to find out if they were gonna still give me the deal they said o.k but when went to the Manager who was on Duty that day of May 11th he didn't want to do it so I had to pay for an upgrade and to redo the whole transaction over with me owing them 166.43  which I paid since she was getting the upgrade.Low and behold the day of delivery they come with the color of white which should have been Metallic slate what I paid for. It was just too much to deal with at the time so I went up to the store and asked for the manager named Jo who never since the whole process has begun to come and say well I'm sorry this keeps happening and that we will do this for you for your time coming up here just nothing wouldn't even show his face which I think is bad customer service for him and the entire store. But the delivery guys were awesome. Juan C. Morales and Jose' Flores very respectful gentlemen. These other salespersons are very nasty and rude JJA6MYQ- Janette and CBM20C - Sally also ALI6R4Q- Ariel. Order No. H1911-222409. I will never ever purchase anything as long as I'm living and breathing from Home Depot store number 1911 Cicero, Il ever again. All I want is my money back from the upgrade and you will never hear from me again and if I don't receive it I will take you to small claims court over it. I work too hard for my money and to be treated this way is unheard of. This will also go on your reviews so that you know how your employees are "UNBELIEVABLE" Patricia Coleman

Extremely disappointed in Home Depot and the way they handled this situation... I ordered these exact floors on May 9th 2020 for $0.04 a sq ft. I was shocked and excited to find floors for this price so I ordered immediately. I knew it had to be a mistake but it's not my mistake nor should it be my problem. I should get what i paid for. Instead, my order was canceled (NOT by me). Annoyed I called customer service and after waiting on hold for an hour (literally) I finally talked to a very nice customer service representative. She couldn't really help me so I asked if I could talk to someone above her, she put me on hold and eventually had me in contact with someone who I thought could help. KIM (I didn't get a last name) basically told me this issue was a vendor error and that they, the vendor, canceled my order. I asked how is it a vendor error? A price mistake on Home Depots website is an error on Home Depot and they should honor the price they have posted. I should get the floors for the price I paid. We went back and forth and she told me the same stuff over and over, never helping. "Home Depot strives for 100% satisfaction and accuracy but sometimes it just can't be done". I was eventually HUNG UP on by KIM. I never raised my voice or cussed. I am just trying to get what i paid for. This is not my mistake, it's Home Depots and they should own up to their mistake and make it right. They have it posted on their site that they honor price adjustments, that's a lie. I just want what i ordered for the price I originally ordered them for.

When ordering something online be prepared for it to be the last day before arriving. I bought a shelf that was in a warehouse in the same state. It left there 1 day after ordering and went to another location close by. It sat there for 3 days before moving. Now the Birthday present for a friend is late.

I purchased a washer and dryer in October. I came in to by the items due to a promotional letter I received that stated I could have the interest deferred with an amount over $1000. I made it a point to the clerk at the Home Depot in Naples on Airport Road that I wanted the deferred interest. Instead he gave a 10% discount however that is not what I wanted and I had stated that to him. I was worried about getting my washer to my home on a reasonable delivery date and did not pay attention to the final receipt, but I stated at least 3 times that I wanted the deferred interest. The clerk did not comply with the customer's request. the discount he gave was approximately $120. When looking at my December bill I am being charged just under $18 interest. That means in 7 short months the interest payment would exceed the discount. I was adamant that I wanted the deferred interest to the sales associate. He also kept the promotional letter stated he needed the letter for the final paperwork. I just caught the interest charge on this month's bill. I made my monthly payment but called and talked to an Amy on Team 5118. she stated that due to the 10% discount that there was nothing that she could do. I stated to her that I didn't care if the 10% discount amount was put back on my account, that I wanted the deferred interest. She stated that there was nothing she could do ... "this is no way at this point to do that". I told her to look at my account history, my charges are always with a deferred interest. I make a point of it in my purchases. I stated to her I have been a long time, over 20 years, a loyal customer that the this needed to be amended. Amy stated that she couldn't help with this at this point. I then stated to that if that is the case Home Depot would not be a store that I would continue to visit, although it is my favorite of all the stores. I stated to Amy that other stores are more local to me, but I make the 20 mile track, across town to the Home Depot, in Florida "snowbird" traffic. I am highly disappointed that Amy did not make more of a consideration in the matter. She did not extend the courtesy of asking a manger or trying to make some sort of consideration. I am also disappointed in the store clerks' effort to properly perform the simple duty requested of him, which is sadly his whole point of being a store "associate". I get these promotional letters all the time. Now I know they are just a joke, as the clerks do what they want with it, or maybe the clerk doesn't know how to run the register to perform this for the customer. In any event , I've been bamboozled and this feeling is raw, as I truly love Home Depot and visit the Naples store often in my flipping endeavors. I know where everything is and visit 2 to 3 times a week. I have been loyal to the brand, but I can see that it is only a one way relationship. At this point, Home Depot has lost a customer, and I will pay my bill in full and close my credit card accounts. I don't need to feel like a pawn in this situation.

Received several death threats by the cashiers yesterday at the lake Havasu store. All started when I said no to Homedepot CC. One said she has friends that would hunt me down, they new my car. I threatened to call police twice after they refused to give my Debit Card back. The manager followed me out to my car and yelled he hoped a car would strike and kill me.

I went to Home Depot's Pro Desk to get help with plans for a deck. All seemed fine but after the deck was built I had a ton of wood left over. Obviously the "PRO" messed up on the materials estimate. The problem is that when I returned the unused wood, it was after 90 days "it was a big deck" . They would only give me store credit. What a joke, don't trust them Home Depot pros and go to Lowe's!
