Picking stuff up at the Home Depot store is easy. What is not so easy and is a TOTAL failure is when you need to interact with a customer care agent for a special order. Email and phone messages remain unanswered. Good luck trying to get someone on the phone. I have been trying to place an order for a replacement part for more than 4 months now…unfortunately, I cannot find it anywhere else. Anyway, lesson learned. Avoid Home Depot!

We bought a dishwasher a couple weeks ago and wanted it installed. They brought it out, said they did not have the right adapter to hook up the hot water. They suggested we go get the fitting and install it ourselves. My husband can’t do that. They suggested to hire a plumber to install it. Not happening. I called several times, left messages for someone to call me back. 2 days later, I finally get a call back. After a discussion, I told them to refund my money. I was told they could refund the installation but not the dishwasher because it was opened. The delivery guy opened the box before they brought it in the house. Now I am waiting for another call to find out if they will refund it. I will never shop there again and will tell everyone about this including Facebook.

Wish I had read these customers' reviews before spending ~$5,200 and trusting Home Depot delivery! I declined installations when purchasing all new appliances (refrigerator, oven, microwave & dishwasher). However, my min expectation was the delivery would drop off new appliances in my kitchen. So I cleared the paths from the front door to my kitchen per Home Depot's online instructions. On the day of 12/07/2022 delivery, the contractors dropped off all of my appliances in the garage. I asked them several times why NOT taking them to my kitchen, which is ONLY ~30 ft. away from the garage on same 1st floor!!! They insisted they can NOT do that b/c of Home Depot dropped-off policies, bringing into kitchen requiring them more times measuring the boxes, steps, etc. Nonsense excuses! I literally paid them cash 10 mins prior to move my old refrigerator and oven from the kitchen to garage. Then they left!!! My family including my Dad who's 77 years old and my wife whose weight ~100 lbs had no choice but moving the new dishwasher and oven ourselves. But no way we wanna break our backs w the new ~310 lbs refrigerator. I called Home Depot customer service, explaining/complaining/asking Kevin who was exceptionally friendly/sympathetic. The outcomes: 1. Home Depot policies do NOT state dropping off appliances at curbside or garage 2. These bad contractors were late on their deliveries on that day. They lied and I was their unfortunate victim of bad plannings 3. Kevin talked to the delivery manager several times. They somewhat righted the wrong by re-scheduling new delivery (3 days after the nightmare as earliest and after several negotiations), bringing the new refrigerator from the garage to kitchen 4. The new crew did awesome job, they need more of these good folks Home Depot: I've been your loyal customer for 15 years. Really disappointing to put my family thru such bad delivery experience after such huge appliance order. I'll go to Costco instead next time

Refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher were to be delivered by 5pm. At 4:30 pm get an email won’t be delivered today. No call. I called Home Depot, she called delivery company who was to call me back. 1 1/2 hours later no call. So, I called Home Depot and cancelled my order. Nope do not get anything delivered from Home Depot. Disappointed does not cover it . This is the 2nd time not giving Home Depot another chance.

I hired Home Depot for a kitchen remodeling back in August, 2022. It consisted of a new countertop, wall backsplash and new flooring. The materials I picked out just needed to be delivered to my home. To save myself a delivery charge I decided to pick it up myself. So, while talking with the Home Depot manager. He decided to do a very thoughtful thing for me. And told me he would waiver the shipping cost. I found out while viewing my invoice I was still charged for shipping. I questioned them again about this. And they again assured me the shipping charge would be removed. It never happened. In the meantime, when my materials were delivered to my home. They dropped off 10 cases of ceramic tile that was sent by mistake. I told this to the delivery driver. And asked him to return it back to Home Depot. He said I needed to call Home Depot so to make arrangements to pick up the materials. Later I'm told I would be charged for them picking these 10 cases. I explained to the manager why I should be charged for a mistake Home Depot made. I got now where with them. It's like they just ignored me.

I purchased a bundle drill set on Cyber Monday only to receive just the drill bits. Customer service said to dispute the charge, how can I when I received partial item? Nice scam the packagers have on stealing the items and sending the less expensive part of the bundle.

I love Home Depot and have purchased my Christmas tree there for many years. Their prices remain reasonable where others have overpriced them tremendously. But this year the trees are way less quality than before. They’re trimmed to pencil-thin status and those of us who prefer a fuller tree came out pretty disappointed. I truly hope this was a one-year problem. Please give us a variety like you always have.

The worse company to do business with. I had all my house windows replaced. 2 of the bow windows they installed were dropping forward (so) home depo came out and replaced both bay windows. 2 years later the same 2 bay windows are dropping forward due to improper installation now the windows are not shutting again, and they are uneven and hard to lock anymore due to the top window frame pulling back out. I was warned about their warranty service it is bad really bad. they do not want to warranty anything. I been getting the run around for months now I have to have a lawyer step in. take my advice go anywhere but home depo for any windows or doors or siding etc. it's not worth the aggravation .

Purchasing an appliance from Home Depot has been the worst experience and I will never do it again. From start to finish, there were multiple steps of incompetency. First I tried to purchase a refrigerator online for delivery to Honolulu, Hawaii. I ordered the GE refrigerator in October for delivery in Nov. Delivery date set for Nov. 12. My new tenant is moving in on Dec. 1. Perfect I thought. The day before delivery, I receive an email stating the the delivery is delayed until Dec. 19. What!!?? Apparently, according to the sales person in appliances in Honolulu, GE appliances are always late/back ordered. Why set a delivery date online if you can't deliver on time? Since I have a tenant moving in on Dec. 1, I had to fly into Honolulu from the mainland to purchase a refrigerator on site to ensure delivery before the end of Nov. So I fly into Honolulu and go to the Home Depot in Honolulu. Susan in appliances helps me to purchase a refrigerator. She was very helpful. Delivery was set for Nov. 23. Perfect, it will arrive before the tenant moves in. When the delivery guys from Island movers show up, they notify me that the forklift has damaged the bottom of the box and the refrigerator is damaged. So they can't deliver the item. Darn! So I call home depot to explain what had happened and schedule another delivery date ASAP. I spoke with Jennifer, the manager in charge of issues in the appliance department. I explained what had happened and that I was in a pickle because of the damaged refrigerator and my deadline with the tenant. In addition, I was flying out on Friday Nov. 25. Jennifer was so rude and condescending telling me that none of what had happened was their fault and that I should just accept it. So we set another delivery date, Mon. Nov. 28. I had to find someone to take the delivery because I had already returned to the mainland. Then I get an email from Home Depot saying that the delivery has again been rescheduled. When i called Home Depot to find out what had happened, they said the Island movers delivery truck had broken down and everyone's delivery for that day was rescheduled. Ok, so sometimes trucks break down, understandable. When I call Island Movers to find out what had happened, they said that their truck did not break down, but when the delivery truck arrived at Home Depot on Monday, all of the appliances that were scheduled for delivery were blocked and the delivery guys could not load the items onto the truck. So in essence, Home Depot had lied to me about their truck breaking down. How unprofessional! So I called Home Depot back to reschedule the delivery. They say Dec. 1 (the day the tenant moves in). I contact Memo in Will Call/delivery to ensure that my refrigerator will not be blocked and will be accessible for the delivery drivers. He ensures me that they solved the issue by placing the items for delivery in another area of the warehouse, which is accessible for the delivery guys. This experience has given me high blood pressure and ulcers. The level of incompetence at multiple stages was incomprehensible and I will tell everyone I know to steer clear of purchasing appliances from Home Depot. This team needs to be retrained.

Do not buy anything from home depot that you need delivered. They use a 3rd party for deliveries and they have no way to contact the drivers. Was suppose to receive my washer and dryer between noon and 4. Didn't show. Called home depot and they said they have no way to contact drivers but heard they were having truck trouble. Received new email confirmation that delivery was updated to between 5:30 and 10. Called home depot and was told they don't deliver after seven and if I didn't get my delivery I would have to wait til the next delivery opening in 2 weeks! Nothing they could do about it because they use a 3rd party. Already waited 2 weeks to get on the schedule in the first place, now I have to wait 2 more weeks because they screwed up? So not acceptable and they don't care. Don't buy from home depot. #homedepotisawful.

If you plan on ordering scheduled delivery of more than 5 items - GOTO LOWES. It was a nightmare. First, they erased my order - and it took literally 2 hours on the phone to get it back; then when they delivered 1/2 of it was not there and it took hours being transferred time and time again. Finally, after all is said and done some items never came. However, I gave up and just went to Lowes to get what they did not deliver. Absolute nightmare experience.

My company has used Queensboro gear for years The Home Depot 𝘤.𝘶.𝘴.𝘵.𝘰.𝘮.𝘦.𝘳 𝘴-𝘶-𝘱-𝘱-𝘰-𝘳-𝘵 '𝘯𝘶𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳' +𝟏 𝟖𝟎𝟓 𝟒𝟏𝟎 𝟓𝟎𝟒𝟎 The Home Depot "𝘩.𝘦.𝘢.𝘥.𝘲.𝘶.𝘢.𝘳.𝘵.𝘦.𝘳.𝘴" '𝘯𝘶𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳' +𝟏 𝟖𝟎𝟓 𝟒𝟏𝟎 𝟓𝟎𝟒𝟎 now, to outfit everyone from our admin positions to our maintenance technicians. Their gear has always been top notch, when I need a specified item that doesn't appear on the website, my contact Anthony P is always quick to answer questions or find an item. The prices are fair and prepared as soon as possible. Ten out of ten would recommend.

Unbelievable! Ordered two roof shovels online. Paid for two roof shovels online. One shovel shows up 6 days later in a box marked "Qty. 2." $15 per hour minimum wage in Commifornia and they can't even count to two. Called customer service. Couldn't understand a word she said. My voice is still hoarse from yelling " What!" Send me my shovel. No. We'll give you a refund and you can re-order it. Now, I'm a reasonable man, quite handsome too. But this is absolute B.S. Time sensitive task, and no support from the ones at fault. Should've went to Northern Tool. Be safe, God Bless.

I went to the HD in Riverview and I was so impressed with the young man Kelvin. I normally am not big on posting reviews but needed to post this. This is the reason I choose HD over Lowes. I saw a older gentleman pushing a flat card with a huge water heater. I wondered to my self, why isn’t anyone assisting this guy. I saw a young man collecting carts on the lot and he looked across the lot and saw the gentleman as well. He stopped what he was doing and went over to assist the gentleman with such a great smile. So impressive, this is why I love HD!

the customer service in Home Depot was horrible, too bad beyond description. i went to shopping, the passing Saturday, in their Kingsbridge Store in Houston, Texas. i asked for a help and waited there for more than an hour. i didn't get it, yet, saw a lot of their employee lingering around doing nothing. one guy serving different section even entered an argument of my waiting time. plus, the air was stagnant, hot. it was a bad experience.
