Order arrived but returned as they were too wide. Nearly a month later and still waiting for the exchange to arrive. I phoned them twice after they wrote to me after 2 weeks. No emails. Customer service archaic.

Ordered sandals early in the week, got an email with a tracking link that said they delivered them 11 months ago......????? WHAT??? Rang them and they told me just wait and see if a delivery turns up next week they cannot track once it leaves the factory. OK Hotter first and last order if you cannot get your act together there are plenty of companies out there that can!

My mother had ordered shoes but then died. She had never even tried on the shoes but the original packaging material was gone. I called the company to explain and ask how to proceed. They said I needed a death certificate in order to refund to her credit card. A death certificate? Really?

I have 2 pair of Daytime and love them. Tried ordering the current darker blue but out of my size. Have a plainer pair of winter shoes, also nice and am waiting for 2 other pair ordered last night. ALSO have the Mango sandal. Get many compliments especially on Daytime! Lee

My husband bought a pair of Hotter shoes last year, left them in the box in the bottom of the wardrobe, got them out this year and after ONE wear the soles disintegrated! We paid cash and have no record of purchase. Hotter do not have an e mail address that is visible so i can not send these photos to them. I have checked online and there are numerous people that have the same problem.( see a selection below) I am still waiting for Hotter to get back to me on this matter. COME ON HOTTER, you have a reputation to protect.

I am a loyal customer of Hotters as I value their shoes which are good quality as well as being reasonably priced. I buy both from their shop or online because I like the fact that I can have my order delivered to the shop or to my home if I buy online. I find their website easy to navigate and they frequently have sales. They also have a wide range of styles to suit all ages.

I ordered a pair of shoes more than 2 months ago. Order was never delivered and there is no notification of continued shipment delays. Impossible to get thru to anyone in customer service. I will never place another order with them again.

I just got the catalogue today with the "40% off and free shipping", after a long hold to put in an order they said because the "Code" wasn't listed on my catalogue they wouldn't give me the 40% off. This is ridiculous. It was their "printing error" but they wouldn't honor what was clearly stated in several places on the catalogue. When I complained and asked to speak to a manager, the sales woman hung up on me. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. DON'T BUY SHOES FROM THIS COMPANY.

Service is terrible. I returned a pair of shoes for a different size. Even though they give you a label with a tracking number, the do not begin to process the exchange until they have the orginals--and then some. It is a week after they say they received the return and have not yet begun to process the replacement. They say that I should receive the replacement in about 2 weeks!!!!

I have had 2 pairs of shoes from Hotter and was very pleased with the comfort they offer. However When I ordered a 3rd pair on 10th April I did not expect to wait until today (8 June) to be told that they could not supply the shoes as they had been over subscribed, not only that but Hotter had already been paid. The shoes were ordered on line to be delivered to the local branch and when I called to check on delivery today they were able to offer me a replacement pair in a different colour which was better than no shoes at all, but as the payment was via PayPal they could not arrange a refund so I have now paid twice for the wrong shoes. I feel like I've been gently mugged. I will follow this up with customer Services.

They promised me that "normal shipping" would get the shoes I bought my mother, to my home where she was visiting, before my she left in 2 and a half weeks. NOPE. they arrived a few days after she left, and they refused to pay for shipping for forwarding. Lame misinforming staff and horrible business model.

Love the shoes can't fault the range. The shopping experience was poor could not get served sales assistant very unhelpful. Left the store in the end with 2 pairs of shoes I wanted to try/buy.

My shoes deformed after 6 months. I took a picture, e-mailed it to them. They sent me a label to mail the shoes to them in England so they could examine them. They tracked the shoes to their place in the Northeast, but they disappeared after that through no fault of mine. They said I could have a Hotter credit. I said I wanted a refund. They said no. So that's the end of Hotter Shoes. Be careful.

The size issue that I had with Hotter shoes has been sorted out now that they are manufactured in the UK. I have no problem with the shoes, they are comfortable, well made and attractive. I also have nothing but praise for the staff in the shops who are friendly, hard working and helpful. However, Hotter's customer service falls way below the standard I am used to. As I have been banned from ordering shoes by post, because 5 years ago I returned some shoes which were too small, I have now to find different methods of buying them. When I asked Customer Services which stores would have the shoes in the size I was looking for, she told me that she was was unable to do this because the information was not up to date and if I turned up at the store and the shoes were not there, I would come back and complain. I politely explained that I could ring the store to check but she replied "Well you are not going to visit all 77 of them now are you?". I continue to try to support British firms, including Hotter, but fear that until their staff are given some training on the telephone, and the management take accountability for their shortcomings, they will not achieve their objective of a 40% increase in mail order sales.
