TOOK MY MONEY but did not give me my grocery order. Every single previous time I ordered I was just able to give my DOB, which in itself is ridiculous as I'm at least twice the age I need to show ID for. This time the jobsworth delivery person would only accept ID which I did not have on me. So basically they charged me for the full order and would not give me a refund. I could accept paying for delivery, but taking the full amount is disgusting. Other online companies would not do this.

I am very upset how can deliveroo just steal peoples money . It’s been twice now I haven’t received the orders. Then you contact them it’s our fault and they never question there drivers. The drivers can leave the food anywhere and say it’s delivered or even keep the food for themselves if they can’t find you , but you are still accountable for deliveroo drivers ability to use the sat nav correctly. 😢😢 please people be aware especially the vulnerable and disabled as if you are not outside searching and waiting for the drivers , you will lose your money ! Also how can they say food is delivered when they don’t get the pin that is sent to you ? This security system is an absolute joke !

Placed a grocery order with them for my local co-op I received a message on my app to say that the driver had attempted to deliver to me however was unable to find my property but had left it in my front garden. There are two issues with that. The first one being that I live in a second floor flat and do not have a front garden and number two. If he had issues finding me how would he know it was my front garden even if I had one. Deliveroo basically said though s*** better luck next time

I finally got my refund. My order was not delivered as claimed and after I argued it with costumer care unit and I involved an intermediary I got my refund.

Lied about delivery saying that driver could not find my house when I was in the street standing for fifteen minutes in the freezing cold an hour after ordering.no driver even entered the home.refused my refund and basically called me liar.driver hung up and disconnect me so another dishonest member of staff.hundreds of bad reviews on trust pilot stating this is what this company does basically scam people out of hard earned money.It was a treat for my son who has special needs so had to go out and spend another £20 so one meal cost £40 just shocking treatment of honest hard working people Shame of you

I've ordered pizzas for our office, which never arrived. Call Pizzeria and they've confirmed that the order has left with the driver. I've contacted Deliveroo and the only available option given to me was to chat with someone. They said that they've contacted the driver and he told them that he left it with the concierge, which our office doesn't have!! They've refused to refund and refused to redeliver. Awful company. I'm never using it again. If the restaurants owners are reading it - please, STOP using Deliveroo service, use order online and collect at least! Don't let Deliveroo mess up your reputation and make the experience with your restaurant turn into a nightmare!

Ordered from deliveroo. The food was missing only got 2 drinks its a joke I called the deliveroo and they said it will take up to 48 to confirm a refund the delivery guy didn't understand English I don't know how did they give him the job. Absolutely disgusting. I will never use deliveroo again!

Sent me the wrong order and when I call back all they do is send me automated messages. Hiring cheap labor who do not know how to communicate robbing people of money by not delivering a service you have paid for worst company ever will never be using again ( this is one of many similar incidents)

Ordered today for shopping from Morrisons as I work hard and was on a shift late so didn't have much in so thought I would try this service the driver said it had been delivered I got on touch with text system and customers services on the phone too they said it was my fault the driver was at my address which he wasn't and they couldn't deliver it Evan though they said it had been delivered very rude people ripping people off off there hard earned money fraudsters never will I use this service again and I hope other people don't either and you lose your customer base

I have placed an order with you on 9 Jan (6203), which never came and I’m told it’s my fault. I have responded to the driver immediately via text and called 2x (no pick up) with in seconds of receipt with no reply. I have gone downstairs to find the driver and also used your chat, which could not be bothered to look into this matter properly and just closed them without any outcome. I asked for refund for this and their reply is, we attempted delivery. This is no way treat customers like this! Quite shocking!

If I could give zero stars I would. Customer service is terrible unhelpful and the "driver/rider" doesn't even have to knock on your door it's pathetic...

They did not deliver food and I was still charged. Spent ages on the phone with the rider, he found the place and for some unknown reason didn't deliver the food. Spent ages chatting online, after explaining something that was just common sense, they copied and pasted the T&C and said I would still be charged. Waste of time and energy. Worst company ever.

The other reviews I can see pretty much some it up! Ordered food that never arrived- the driver told me he ‘gave it to some woman who was shouting at him at the door’. Used live chat and called the company and both refused to refund me as they claimed that the rider had arrived at my address. Absolute bullsh*t, won’t use them again!

Grocery order, somehow only half of the order was delivered - no refund yet but if it doesn’t appear I will attempt a chargeback, go to ombudsman if chargeback refused as clear breach of Consumer Rights Act. I’m a lawyer so not worried about getting my £50 back, but people should note that failure to refund if goods not delivered or not as advertised or of satisfactory quality etc is against the law. Deliveroo doesn’t get to decide not to deliver and keep your cash. Go to your bank if Deliveroo says no, ask for a chargeback. If bank says no go to card scheme adjudication. If that fails take it to the financial ombudsman. Tell the bank you’re going to do it. It costs the bank if you do.

I've been a customer for a long while. Frequently items are missing but this is not their fault. Today however the whole order was not delivered. Another postcode appeared with the correct one and the driver said he delivered. £35.00 all wasted. BUT previous order was delivered by a driver who made fun of my appearance. I am terminally ill and wear a chemo cap. I'm also underweight. After leaving me to wait whilst he talked to his friends on the street, he looked me up and down, smirked and said - whats wrong with you. I was embarassed and shocked and very upset. I've had dozens of deliveries and never has anyone commented so cruelly. I haven't even had an apology from Deliveroo although I did make a complaint.

Food never delivered, no refund and no customer service. Live chats saying there is no issue, then asking for a separate email if we have any further concerns, then for email, card details and bank statements to just consider issuing a refund. Appalling and disgusting.

My first Deliveroo order was food from this place at 11pm my first night in London. I was so tired I didn’t read reviews for either Papillion or Deliveroo - huge mistake. This “restaurant” marked my food as delivered (57 minutes late) but it wasn’t. I tried getting help from Deliveroo app but the only options were “live chat” or “call restaurant.” I tried both but there was no answer either way. I left comments on Deliveroo Instagram - they said email them. I did, and they sent me boiler plate “we have investigated and we can’t offer a refund because the restaurant says they delivered your order” emails. Finally after pressing for details about their “investigation” they admitted that Papillion admitted they had not delivered the order but they said it was my fault because the restaurant was unable to deliver and attempted to contact me but was unable to, so my contact details must not be up to date. I replied saying 1) I had just signed up for their app, so of course my contact details were up to date, and 2) the restaurant is lying and did not try to contact me - quite the opposite as I tried to contact them and they ignored my call. I sent Deliveroo screen shots of my verified phone number under contact info and of my call log proving Papillion never attempted to contact me. They still refused to offer any refund saying they would take the restaurant’s word over my proof. At this point I didn’t even care about my money - I was just horrified Deliveroo would keep this restaurant on their platform and knowingly keep letting them blatantly scam people through their app. I told Deliveroo this and asked if they would remove the restaurant. I also said they need to offer customers better recourse for problems like this. I’ve never heard of such horrible experiences on any other food delivery apps. Clearly others have found a way to prevent these kinds of scams and other problems. What I got in return was a boiler plate “thank you for your feedback” which I know was them saying “we don’t care.” I asked for details about how exactly they would fix these issues, which executives they would make aware of this serious problem, etc. They just resent the original plate “sorry you were unhappy with your order” email, which I really think was either a bot response or some 12-year-old at the company thinking they were funny. I have since learned from many other online reviews that sadly MANY other people have had similar problems with Papillion Grill AND with Deliveroo. And yet Deliveroo refuses to remove this restaurant or address any other problems reported with their service. Deliveroo offers no recourse at all if you’re blatantly ripped off through their platform. They find it funny, actually, it seems. Don’t trust either of these companies.
