My order never arrived and they refused to issue me a refund, that’s theft where I come from. Company is disgraceful.

I've been a customer for a long while. Frequently items are missing but this is not their fault. Today however the whole order was not delivered. Another postcode appeared with the correct one and the driver said he delivered. £35.00 all wasted. BUT previous order was delivered by a driver who made fun of my appearance. I am terminally ill and wear a chemo cap. I'm also underweight. After leaving me to wait whilst he talked to his friends on the street, he looked me up and down, smirked and said - whats wrong with you. I was embarassed and shocked and very upset. I've had dozens of deliveries and never has anyone commented so cruelly. I haven't even had an apology from Deliveroo although I did make a complaint.

Food never delivered, no refund and no customer service. Live chats saying there is no issue, then asking for a separate email if we have any further concerns, then for email, card details and bank statements to just consider issuing a refund. Appalling and disgusting.

My first Deliveroo order was food from this place at 11pm my first night in London. I was so tired I didn’t read reviews for either Papillion or Deliveroo - huge mistake. This “restaurant” marked my food as delivered (57 minutes late) but it wasn’t. I tried getting help from Deliveroo app but the only options were “live chat” or “call restaurant.” I tried both but there was no answer either way. I left comments on Deliveroo Instagram - they said email them. I did, and they sent me boiler plate “we have investigated and we can’t offer a refund because the restaurant says they delivered your order” emails. Finally after pressing for details about their “investigation” they admitted that Papillion admitted they had not delivered the order but they said it was my fault because the restaurant was unable to deliver and attempted to contact me but was unable to, so my contact details must not be up to date. I replied saying 1) I had just signed up for their app, so of course my contact details were up to date, and 2) the restaurant is lying and did not try to contact me - quite the opposite as I tried to contact them and they ignored my call. I sent Deliveroo screen shots of my verified phone number under contact info and of my call log proving Papillion never attempted to contact me. They still refused to offer any refund saying they would take the restaurant’s word over my proof. At this point I didn’t even care about my money - I was just horrified Deliveroo would keep this restaurant on their platform and knowingly keep letting them blatantly scam people through their app. I told Deliveroo this and asked if they would remove the restaurant. I also said they need to offer customers better recourse for problems like this. I’ve never heard of such horrible experiences on any other food delivery apps. Clearly others have found a way to prevent these kinds of scams and other problems. What I got in return was a boiler plate “thank you for your feedback” which I know was them saying “we don’t care.” I asked for details about how exactly they would fix these issues, which executives they would make aware of this serious problem, etc. They just resent the original plate “sorry you were unhappy with your order” email, which I really think was either a bot response or some 12-year-old at the company thinking they were funny. I have since learned from many other online reviews that sadly MANY other people have had similar problems with Papillion Grill AND with Deliveroo. And yet Deliveroo refuses to remove this restaurant or address any other problems reported with their service. Deliveroo offers no recourse at all if you’re blatantly ripped off through their platform. They find it funny, actually, it seems. Don’t trust either of these companies.

I ordered from this so called Company, the money was debited from my card and I was advised 20-25 minutes for delivery, After one hour I rang the restaurant who said they had not received the order. I rang this so called delivery company who said payment was pending which was rubbish as the money had left my account. They then cancelled the order and said I would receive a refund in 3 working days, a total con. NEVER USE THIS SO CALLED DELIVERY COMPANY

I am trying to order food for my pharmacy staff today. Extremely busy servicing patient and try to provide a good NHS service. Treat my staff a good lunch. Completely destroyed by Deliveroo. One hour late and miss our lunch time. End up all of my staff with hunger with no food. Asking for refund, providing excuses even if the driver was late. Not respectful to my hardworking staff.

If I could rate deliveroo 0 stars I would. The customer is terrible!! Had an error with trying to cancel order because the delivery wasn’t happening, but it wouldn’t let me cancel. I tried to get my money back no chance. Haven’t received a refund yet.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Driver refused to deliver to the food as he had his daughter in the car. I ordered delivery because I have small children in the house myself. Left him a tip, and he screamed that I was a liar and there was no tip. He tried to throw all my food over the six foot back fence instead of coming to the front. Deliveroo refuses to do anything.

Such an unethical , money robbing company. Was 5 minutes late to pick up my order, the driver left supposedly leaving the order at the doorstep which was clearly not there unless it vanished into thin air. Top that off with a snobbish and unhelpful customer service who say that because the driver waited and left the order I can not be refunded . Excuse me, where did the food and the money I payed for it go. Such a disappointment especially in a living crisis. I do not recommend Deliveroo unless you want to loose money and time.

Stole my money ! Deliveroo refused to refund any of my money following delivery from driver with no attempt to contact me through usual means such as doorbell, despite express written instructions to driver to ring my flat doorbell. Lied about leaving order in my garden and made no attempts to further contact me Incompetence of delivery driver has essentially stolen £23 from me, deliveroo refusing to accept the mistake of the driver Absolutely disgusting service

I would like to leave 0 star if possible!! Last Tuesday I`ve ordered from this dishonest restaurant from Deliveroo platform: Sake Sushi Express. The rule was clear: if the order is delayed over 1 hour, we would be able to receive a refund. The expected arrival time was 7:40. Exactly at 8:40 the order was marked as delivered, BUT WAS NOT DELIVERED!! After 20/30 minutes the motoboy has arrived, but at this stage I was really frustrated and starved, and already cooking dinner, so I did not accept the order. What happened next: the rule of over 1 hour delayed somehow did not apply anymore, so the refund was not applicable, since the motoboy arrived and I did not accept the order!!! Deliveroo/Sake sushi refuses to refund. NEVER AGAIN I AM USING THIS DISHONEST DELIVEROO PLATFORM THAT WORKS WITH DISHONEST RESTAURANTS!!!!

Ordered, didn’t arrive but app said delivered. Customer service would not refund as they said they tried to deliver. CCTV proves they didn’t. Then they suggest the pin on the map is inaccurate and could not find us. We can prove it isn’t, but they still refuse to admit it. Very poor. Will have to put in a chargeback with the bank.

When it was marked as delivered and we had no food I started trying to find out why as I was left stranded in an unfamiliar place late at night with no food and a hungry 10 year old following over four hours in the car. Apparently the driver tried to deliver the food and waited for 10 minutes. Was unable to do so, so left the food on the doorstep and as such I'm still being charged. It's a hotel, there were always people outside smoking and I was sat like an idiot on reception for half an hour waiting for the delivery driver to show up. The hotel manager confirmed that no KFC order arrived - even though other Deliveroo drivers visited the property through the night. So I'm left paying for food that never got delivered by a company who couldn't give a monkeys.

What a dreadful company. We had an issue with our food and they took absolutely no responsibility. They told us it was the restaurant’s issue and the restaurant told us it was Deliveroo’s issue. When I flagged this, the woman (Josielyn) I spoke to was useless; the process took nearly an hour and she ended up ending the chat, knowing full well I was dissatisfied. I then emailed, but time and time again they sent pointless responses, ignoring my initial questions and showing no ability to looking after their customers. I will never use them again, given that their staff truly do not care, show no initiative, can’t even be bothered to read emails and are, quite frankly, rude.

Deliveroo has the worst customer service that is possible. They disregard delivery instructions and then take the delivery back and charge you for the food they did not deliver while marking it as delivered in their system. Furthermore they do not return the food to the restuarant so you may collect it nor do they issue refund for the delivery that they did not successfully make because the rider ignored the delivery instructions. To make things worse, their customer support team over chat as well as the ones available on call do not offer any resolution or even listen to suggestions that may resolve the issue. The customer service only narrates the terms and conditions of the delivery. It was a horrendous experience using deliveroo wherein : 1. I paid for the food that I did not receive and probably consumed by the Deliveroo rider 2. The online chat support and call support not once offered any resolution to the issue or even listen to suggestions that may resolve the issue. 3. Took up 1.5 hours of my time for no resolution and no delivery that is the exact opposite of why I would use a food delivery service. Deliveroo, this is no way to do business!!!

I have never had such a terrible experience. I order food, after an hour I received a notification that rider tried to contact me, but could not reach me. According to the rider food was left at the doorstep. No one tried to call me, message me. I didn’t get my food. They didn’t compensate it as according to their information rider tried to message me. There is on prof of it. Moreover there is no image that profs that order was left at the doorstep. They lost their loyal customer.

It's always a gamble whether you get the food from deliveroo or they state 'delivery attempted' and your food is gone, but money taken. Deliveroo is horrible and I will never use it again, I don't understand how they get away with it. Their helpline always throws the terms and conditions in your face as an excuse for a horrible service.

Zero stars from me.. I'm starting to believe these companies have ways to steal from innocent people. They sent me a notification that my order was cancelled by wagga mama. So I reordered. But wagga mama didn't cancel, so it was like a trick notification. Then they say they can't refund me. Paid twice for the same order and it was alot of money. I'm disgusted with this. It's just wrong.
