Disgusting company. Outrageous that these people email you after your pet has been microchipped inferring that the microchip isn't effective until you create an account with them. Once you do they won't even let you update a contact phone number unless you pay them money. AND they automatically opt you in to receiving emails and texts from 3rd parties that they've sold your details to.

Just leave me alone, My cat Beautiful is registered with u and I have her certificate ok? So stop constantly sending me emails saying--COMPLETE REGISTRATION FOR BEAUTIFUL---And warning me that I could b fined £500 if I do not complete. ITS DONE ALREADY

Phoned to update change of address to be told to do this we needed to upgrade our account and pay a minimum of £10 to do this really

All I want is a replacement tag as the initial one is rather tacky and they are asking mr to pay a further £10 to update my details. Why should I pay £10 for info which has not changed. Forget I a complete waste of time

Registered cat 9 and half years ago due to current legislation changes asked vet to check chip .Chip ok but Not on data base two more attempts 1 at vet practice not on data base. She's 10 I could have lost her years ok . This is getting frustrating and insane.

I thought this was a scam. The questions asked were totally unnecessary, just information gathering. This is a cat being chipped, you do not need to know my gender, my age or date of birth. It was confusing and appears to be an attempt at raking in insurance money, I already have insurance for my cat. I am still not convinced that this is not a scam...asking for card details after all rest of the information collecting is how scammers work.

Been with anibase for 18years with current pets. And before that 20 years with previous pets. Have moved home and told I now need to have a subscription if I want to remain. Contractually I find this disgusting. Prepared to pay for change but not a monthly/annual subscription. Horrid change to contract.

An absolutely awful company. Their business practices are an absolute disgrace. When I paid £30.00 over the telephone to transfer my new dog into my name from a previous owner, Identibase did not tell me that the fee would be autorenewed every year, or that they had kept my card details on file. Both of these acts were without my specific permission or consent. Nor did they refer me to their terms and conditions that state they will autorenew the fee every year. I feel very unsafe knowing that my dig has an Identibase chip in her, as I feel I will be "blacklisted" if she goes missing for no other reason than I have complained about their shoddy business practices. To be fair Identibase say they have now cancelled the autorenewal, and say they have deleted my card details, but only after complaining in an email and on the phone to them. Identibase should be ashamed of how they conduct their business dealings.

Adopted a surrendered cat from an organisation. Her previous owner had passed away and her family surrendered the cat. She's chipped but I cannot get the chip updated with my details. Even the cat charity I got her from couldn't. Identibase want the previous owners consent? Erm, that'll be a bit difficult. They don't answer emails or the phone, both me and the cat rescue have tried for over 2onths to sort this. I can't re register online it takes me on a loop. My lovely little pet is still registered to a passed on lady in another town over 30 miles away. I'm even thinking of getting her chipped with Petlog chip. And why they need a subscription is beyond me.

Have to pay a subscription to change basic account data, important data such as your address! Ridiculous. I will be changing my cats chip & database.

£30 per year is just too much so i tried to cancel it within 2 weeks but it is nor possible on the website nor contacting support. They don't respond to my email nor answering phone calls. So I decided to contact my credit company to block them and it was the right decision. A year later, they sent me a email saying they can't charge my card!! They still keep sending the same automated email despite of my response. There are much cheaper and proper companies for this . I don't understand why this company has good reviews on "Trustpilot"

This is a scam, I had my kittens chipped and the vet told me I had to put my details in on their website, I’ve never done this with my other pets. I went on there and they wanted to charge me so much a year for my kittens details to be verified. I’ve paid for a chip, I’m not paying anymore. I’ve received loads of phone calls, emails and texts saying my kittens are not verified. I’ve blocked your phone number, so I won’t be answering. My kittens are wearing tags with all their details on because I do not trust this company. I’m looking in to having their chips switch to a trustworthy company.

I adopted a cat so changed fhe ownership details to me. I recently changed phone number but had to pay and J seem to be paying £3 a month. What for? No option to change membership or cancel online, unless I tell them my cat has passes away. Based on these reviews, I don't fancy my chances of being able to get hold of them via phone or email.
