Ordered shelves that were listed by Ikea as 24" x 24". They were not available in stores. When they arrived, they were actually 23" x 22.5". Of course, they did not fit our space we ordered them for. Adding insult to injury, Ikea has not answered my email to their supposed customer service. Won't be buying from this company again.

Ordered on line. Ordered 2 items. Picked up on a weekday. Had to wait over 1 hour because they forgot one of the two items. Asked if they would send it to me via mail/ship and they refused.

Product purchased was what we thought, relativley cheap but quite good quality for the price (2 settees). HOWEVER, the delivery process was a nightmare and caused loss of earnings with having to rearrange timeslots. Also, original delivery, product received was saoking wet due to be sat in water for some time so was declined on first delivery attempt

As I write this review, I am on hold on the phone with IKEA. I ordered some items from them online. A couple days later I went online to cancel the order. (I would rather have spoken to a real person but their phone system kept apologizing for not being able to take my call due to high call volume and then hung up on me). I sent a message through their system. I read that, because of the high volume of messages received, my message might not be seen for a few days. I also read that if I cancel an order before it is shipped, then I will not be responsible for the shipping charge. Several days went by and I got an email that my order shipped. I called and actually got to speak to a real person who informed me that, "I don't know where you got your information, but you can only cancel an order within two hours of placing the order or after it has shipped." WOW! That sure is a strange way to do business—let's wait until it is in a truck somewhere before we cancel the order. How very environmentally unfriendly. The woman on the phone said she was cancelling my order. She gave me a case number. I hoped for the best whilst I waited for my refund. About half an hour ago I received an email informing me that my order was scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. So, I got back on the phone to IKEA. I spoke to a young gentleman who informed me that my order indeed had not been cancelled and that he was not able to do that himself but he would transfer me to the proper office that could. He transferred me. I got disconnected because they were experiencing too many calls. Talk about a runaround. So, I got back on the phone and spoke to young woman. I explained everything that I have experienced up until that very moment and requested that she do not transfer me; that if she needed to find someone who can help me that she drag them to her desk so I don't get hung up on, again. She asked if she could put me on hold. I said, okay. When she returned to the call she told me that she had spoken to someone in the proper office and instead of transferring me she was putting me in the queue so I don't lose the call again. When someone picked up, I told her the whole ordeal, up until that moment, and when I got almost to the end, she apologized for interrupting me; she could sense my frustration. She informed me that a full refund had been issued just today and had no idea why I was getting an email telling me that my order was being delivered the next day. She was very nice; I have to say that. With all that being said, I will never order again from IKEA online. Moreover, I think that this experience left a bad taste in my mouth that IKEA has lost me altogether; not even their meatballs could get rid of the taste. I caution anyone reading this to think twice, no thrice, about doing ordering from them online. If a company has gotten so big for their breeches that their communications systems fail, then I don't want any part of them. I'll stick to Amazon, where cancelling and order is easy-peasy, and returning an item just as much so.

Never buy a IKEA kitchen. Any long term customer service required for any item like a kitchen is absolutely terrible. After 6 months we are still awaiting replacement items. No on is interested at IKEA and we have to call up constantly to chase. No call backs when they promise to call back. Absolute shambles the customer service.

I ordered a mattress online, spent close to 400 to have it delivered. the day before it was supposed to arrive I got an email stating "whoops, we've made a mistake!" and a case number and a brief explanation that the mattress wasn't arriving. I called the number in the email and was transferred to various half-brained nitwits. I finally spoke to a nice woman this morning and was told the mattress wasn't arriving because it was never at the warehouse to begin with and I'd have to wait ten days for another or get a refund. great! now I have no bed to sleep on. buyers beware - this is a clueless company that doesn't care about people or the money they spend and have no idea where their merchandise is. on the moon? in a truck? they don't know! Ikea sucks.

i spent 30 minutes on ikea’s website looking for a duvet cover. decided on one, tried to buy it, but although their site doesn’t allow for delivery to po boxes, i added an alternative address. the site didn’t like that, therefore, my billing address was different from the delivery address. i called to request to make the purchase over the phone. after a considerable time, the rep asked what i was buying, to which i gave her the number. she said SORRY item has been discontinued. i ask why it wasn’t indicated on their website, she said they don’t say that and that it happens all the time. i suggested that since it happens often, that they create a way to keep their website products up to date. so, wasted an hour to be told that ikea doesn’t care bout customers!

With its delivery contractor - Select Express, first wrong delivery, and then no one in IKEA customer service (CS) tried to identify where my delivery is. At the 4th call to the CS department, I found one "normal" representative to locate it. Then, the contractor screwed up its own delivery system so that it tried to deliver today even if I selected the delivery on this coming Saturday. Terrible IKEA CS and terrible delivery contractor. I will see it will really deliver my items this Saturday correct. If possible, please do not choose IKEA delivery.

Never in my 59 years of life have I received such horrible customer service. I received a notice from ikea this morning saying my order was ready for pick up in Bayamon. I called in to ask them to deliver it to my home address. After being transferred 4 times and speaking with 4 different reps (none of them really seemed to want to help) they finally told me it would cost an adtl $55 dollars to deliver to my $51 dollar order to my home; when I placed the order, the delivery charge showed up as $8.95. Since I am a good 2 hours away and was not aware I needed to pick the order up in 48 hours, I asked what other options there were. the rep said I could cancel the order and wait for a refund. Unfortunatly I have absolutley 0 confidence that a refund would ever be issued and really have no desire to ever again call ikea for anything, much less to follow up on a refund. It would have been nice had the rep offered to cancel my order adn issue a new one w/ the $8.95 charge but that would be GOOD customer service which apparently is not what the IKEA reps are trained to provide.

Blatant scam artists! Cannot believe such a big company can get away with this. Purchased the Hemnes 6 drawer. Product bowed and drawers did not shut after 1 or 2 weeks. The product has a inherent design flaw and if you actually read up on the product nearly 100% of people experience this. It has no supporting leg at the front in the middle so it naturally just dips under its own weight. Ikea had someone come inspect it to make sure it was a manufacturing fault and not our fault, upon walking into the room he laughed "oh not another one of these, I don't even need to ask where the problem is". Ikea should not be selling this, and despite having concrete feedback from their inspection, they are making it VERY hard to organise a refund. We have to disassemble this large, heavy unit with no instructions and zero damage so that it can be returned to them. Considering these things are designed to not come apart after they are built... talk about bad customer service. This returns policy means we are essentially stuck with the product and cannot get our money back.

They suddenly changed their return policy as of Nov 1 2019 and will not even give you store credit even if the item is damaged or faulty. We don’t live near an ikea and travelled 2 hours to be told couldn’t do the return without as receipt or card. Not 365 day returns. Hang on to those receipts even if they fade. Not a happy customer.

I ordered a dresser online, it was never was delivered to my home even though $309 was taken out of my bank account. I called and they reordered the dresser to be delivered and after two weeks it still was not delivered. I called a third time and the order was canceled due to being out of stock. Nobody called me to tell me. I called yet again to get my money back. Will never purchase from IKEA again!
