“Really easy to sign up! I took the online certification course, and the curriculum was practical and applicable. Feedback was incredibly helpful and given in a timely manner.”

“International TEFL Academy started out so exciting for me. I felt supported, and was getting straight A’s overall. I was getting constant feedback from my teacher, and I worked hard to improve. Out of the blue, however, my teacher decided to give me a D for the final project that I worked so hard on. Honestly, I felt betrayed, and like the teacher must gave been lying to me up to that point. Very disappointed. This was a waste of money. :(”

“I’m really grateful for ITA! When I decided that I wanted to teach abroad, I really had no idea where to start. ITA gave me everything I needed: before I even began, they had me speak with someone about the program and about teaching, so I was able to begin with a clear idea of where I was headed. The program itself was clear and easy to follow, and very manageable even though I started it while I was still finishing my degree. Afterwards, their staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and gave me all the information, support, and resources I needed to find and apply for the right positions for me. I am also grateful for their contacts— they connected me with several recruiters who were instrumental in finding me my current position teaching abroad.”

“Let me preface, I work in Korea, & this is a great course with great materials, BUT the price is terrible & it DIDN’T help me get a job. In Korea, only EPIK needs a TEFL or GREATER (get a degree in education instead) but NOT hagwons (they didn’t acknowledge my $1400 TEFL, nor did my recruiter ask for that VERY EXPENSIVE PDF, not even receiving a piece of paper is a rip off). I now work at a private school (a legit private school, NOT the SAME as a hagwon) a they NEVER mentioned it. So if you don’t want to work for EPIK and/or have connections, SAVE yourself the TIME & MONEY. In EPIK, there are people who’ve spent $50 on a TEFL & were accepted. TL;DR: In Korea, an int’l or private school is best, if you have a degree in education, go for the prior, miscellaneous degree + connections, go for the latter. I didn’t get into EPIK, didn’t need it for my hagwon, and my Private School never asked for it.”

“I thought my class was well-organized and helpful. It wasn't too overwhelming to do while working. THe services were affordable and easy to use. The connections you get through the Facebook groups are invaluable now as a teacher assistant in Spain.”

“Enrolling in ITA's certification program was one of the best decisions I have made at this point of my teaching career. My advisor was always available to guide me through the program and answer any pertinent questions I had. Also, my instructor was excellent and provided a scholarly curriculum that prepared you to become an effective ESL teacher. Additionally, ITA offers other specialty courses that enhance what you have learned in your basic course. Overall, enrolling in ITA's TEFL program was worth it and I am proud to be an alumna of this academy.”

“I had a great experience at ITA. Moodle is very easy to use. The instructors were very knowledgeable. The curriculum covered a large variety of topics. Even technological assistance was very easy to access. I would definitely recommend this program--in fact, I already have.”

“I completed my TEFL course in 2018. So I'm a little foggy on the details, four years later. Let me just say that as a non-fan of online courses, I was pleasantly surprised with ITA. First off, because I was a recent US Peace Corps volunteer, they gave me a generous discount on the course price, for which I was deeply grateful. I found the course content to be well designed and fundamentally solid in its organization and implementation. As a former classroom teacher, I recognized a huge attempt on the part of ITA to incorporate methods well grounded in educational research. For me, teaching to a foreign audience was not new, but still I learned so many novel approaches to assist learners of a second language in their comprehension of English, which many students describe as a very intimidating language. Overall, it was a very positive experience. My instructor was always available and very approachable. I have since taught in two Latin American countries, and was offered a teaching position in a middle eastern country, which I declined. I highly recommend ITA as a top quality program.”

“ITA gave me the information, direction, support, and personal touch I needed to pursue my goal of teaching English in SE Asia. Within four months, I signed up, completed my online course, got my certificate, and was starting my first teaching job in Thailand. They even kept me engaged while I was in Asia and helped connect me to others in my area and around the world. “Extremely professional organization. “I started my journey with TEFL at the start of Covid while working full time and going through a tough family situation. The advising team was great until I paid for the course. Once they had my money, I had very limited advisor support throughout and after the course. Because of Covid, I couldn't do in-person practical hours. I managed to get remote practical hours but they missed the deadline. I asked for grace in a tough time and none was given. I was told that I would have to pay for a whole new course and do everything all over again at full price! So not only did I waste my time but also my money.”

“After reading through some of the other school's information, this was, in my opinion, the best. I have never regretted it. This was a vital piece of the learning process because it started with the history of languages. I used the various suggestions for class engagement and also activities. The tempo of the assignments was very intense, but it was worth every minute. I recommend the International Tefl Academy to everyone thinking about teaching internationally.”
