every single person i spoke to was unwilling to help. i was belittled and yelled at by two of them. they wouldn’t even talk to someone who works for the auto shop that my car was being worked on. i keep being transferred and the buck keeps getting passed. awful. if there was a different option i’d go with that 100 times out of 100. honestly probably the worst customer service i’ve ever experienced. this is also like the first review i’ve ever written. normally i wouldn’t, because mistakes happen and i try to be as understanding as possible. but damn dude

These people are horrible. They interrupt you intentionally and make mistakes left and right and are extremely unprofessional. Half of the phone conversations I had with them ended up with fights and them slamming the phone down for no reason. They don't seem to keep good records and are basically a bunch of rude angry trolls.

Overbilling. When I finally had the device UN-installed they said I owed $90 dollars. I planned on paying it on Friday when I got paid. I had earlier taken my card off automatic payment A few days later they took 160 out of my account. I called intoxalox and the rep said we accidentally overcharged you $70 because you never agreed to the extra fees. (I had to wait 20 minutes on hold so he could listen to my recorded conversation) he said the $should hit my bank on Tuesday. Several weeks went by and I called every week asking where my $ is. Finally they told me I won’t be getting my $back. Also when I first had it installed it wasn’t done properly and I had to disconnect the battery to get a better connection. They told me they had to bill me $75 for my battery being disconnected for one minute. Horrible customer support. All kinds of fees only a lawyer could dream up. Worse company I’ve ever had to deal with. Avoid them like the plague!

absolutely terrible company. i called and paid this ignorant company an extra $25 dollars to get an extension for my calibration. the guy (who i could hardly understand) told me i had 2 hours. not ONCE did he say i could only start my car once. my bf went out to make sure my car would start, as i had been out of town for a week. he let me know it worked and we went to go get it calibrated but it said not serviced on time. i called TWO more times and spoke to 2 other completely ignorant and greedy people. (mind u i still have an hour as i’m typing this) told me i have to get towed there’s nothing they can do. terrible company who just wants our money. couldn’t recommend less. the girls names i spoke to were grace and sarah. i think the boy was nick. obviously not their real names. they answer with lies, talking ab they understand. they also told me they’d transfer me to a higher up and ended the call. nothing but bad things to say ab this greedy ass company.

It’s horrible, they lie to you, make excuses, and even steal from you. I have a recorded conversation where the representative told me not to switch companies and that they wouldn’t charge me the $75 for unlocking the device. The device got locked because they didn’t specify that I needed to call when it showed an error to correct it. If I didn’t call, it would lock after the third error, and I’d have to pay for the unlock. I told them it was abusive and that I preferred to switch companies because it was voluntary, but they insisted. When the court requested me to join the program, that’s when they charged me. I called to complain, and they supposedly were going to investigate my case, but it was useless. THIEVES, THERE’S NO OTHER WORD FOR IT!

So, I had my device installed on 6/19 of this year...all fees were paid to DMV. As of today, my license is STILL suspended. I called DMV on Tueday only to find out Intoxalock never sent in the paperwork 😡. I also called Intoxalock Tuesday, yesterday AND today; they are now saying that the error was initially theirs but since I filed an actual complaint on 6/25, it will take up to 3 business days for DMV to receive it. I can't even comment on driving with the device because I have not been able to yet. So far, very unimpressed. If anyone knows how to speed this process along, please let me know!

Gave me a few lock outs one is when I had ate garlic bread and another for having the smell of gasoline in my car it had spilled so the sent was strong. It’s not 100 accurate. Cost me over $300 already smh. There has to be something we can do. It’s a scam!!!!

Salesperson forced me to sign up just for a quote, went really fast when talking about additional fees. Plus I got out of the car when a rolling retested started since I had arrived at my location ( usually have 5 minutes to re-test) when I got back in the car it locked me out. Keep in mind I’ve done this about ten times already without any problems. SCAM DO NOT USE

Horrible customer service. They will lie through their teeth to keep charging for service that you don't need. Had to call four times to get service discontinued. They finally removed their device but they kept the account open and kept charging. They don't deserve any star at all.

Do not go with this company!! I finally have my device out. They want to charge you for so many freaking hidden fees in a lease you have no choice to sign. When my lease ended I had my bi weekly rental fee up to date. I paid $181 to have the device removed and sent back to them. They also wanted $230 in admin fees and “breaking my lease” fee. I got the “breaking the lease fee” taken off when they made up a time frame I would need it as I am a Texas resident with a Texas registered vehicle and it only needed to be installed per a Utah court order where my DUI was. My DMV and a judge in my home state of TX said do not get it in and was forced to. I think Intoxalock even went as far as not even having it legally installed originally because it blocked them from putting it in at first with me being in Texas where I live. I am still being charged $68 for a closing admin fee to have my information sent over to my monitoring authority. My monitoring authority does NOT need it and already have a court order saying it’s done but they insist that I still have to pay for something I do not need. File a complaint with the BBB if you need to do not use this company. All of their great reviews are fake. The company is just getting by on legal theft and I’m tired of dealing with this nonsense.

I reported that my vehicle was going to have scheduled maintenance as the app advised me to do so that I would avoid any lockout fees while my vehicle was being serviced. Well of course while my vehicle was being serviced the machine went into lockout mode. Because my vehicle was in the shop for a week the unit could not be serviced in time and I had to pay an extra $200 on top of the $80 lockout fee that I wasn’t supposed to have to pay at all and now my vehicle is somehow on a lockout again. I called Intoxalock customer service several times and keep getting hung up on or transferred to another department that never answers the phone. I am beyond frustrated with this business and their horrible customer service or actually lack of customer service. It seems the only time you are able to talk to someone who clearly speaks English and knows what you are saying is when you reach their sales department…. How convenient right?….

Drains battery quickly...can't use if parked where charger can't plug in. Constant requires you blow while driving. Not recommended for weak lungs. Dangerous for COPD, etc. Paid to have it Uninstalled today. Hope to find alternative.

I get false positive blows that make it that I have to get the breath analyzing device re calibrated which costs extra on top of the bi-weekly fee. The machine said I blew .386 and car started honking I pulled over turned the car off then waited until the device cleared and I blew again and started the car up to continue on. I called the customer service and they said nothing they could do I had to pay the recalibration fee on the next bill. That’s 86.00 on top of the 146.00 a month I already pay. This company is the horrible to have to deal with. It’s my fault for being in this position but I don’t deserve to be miss used like this company does.

Really dishonest…..”bait & switch”. Prior to signing on, Intoxalock agent approved a coupon I had. This discount helped me justify the higher cost, over another option. Only a partial credit was put through…..numerous calls & abiding by repeated requests to resend info, followed by me being told it would be handled prior to unit being removed. In repeated follow ups, I again was assured it would be handled…..then came the “switch”……since my account was no longer active & unit had been removed, no additional credit would be put through. Gotta love businesses who do not stand behind commitments. Along the way, there were other terrible customer service details but the point is made that this company lacks credibility & honesty.

It’s every other day that I blow in it , it gets to the timer and says to start the car. So I try and nothing. This device will leave you stranded. No one with customer support is of any help !
