“I have called customer service several times starting 8/15/24 asking them to send a credit amount owed to me by check. I’ve been told recently that the check was mailed and cashed by someone (not me as I never received it) so it is now up to me to figure out who cashed it which is of no help in getting the money owed to me. For all I know the check was never sent or possibly someone in their own office stole and cashed it. I will not give JC Penney’s another dime of my money.”
“Ordered items online after visiting store and being told they don’t carry what I needed. Placed two orders on line a day apart. Both orders shown as delivered . Received first order but only 1/3 of second order. Called customer service and they refunded by money but told me I could not reorder because my J.C. Penney credit card was over the limit. It was not, they hold money so it shows over the limit. I also asked them to update my phone number which they said they could not do. I had a 40% off coupon that they mailed me. Went back to the store to purchase the one item they did not ship that was in stock. Picked up 2 other items and went to the one checkout that was open. They asked for my phone number. I gave my current number. She said it didn’t work. I told her they had it under a different number which I didn’t remember because I hadn’t had that number for over 20 years. I said do it without a number , she said I would not get the discounts then. Figured that out and she rang up my items. I gave her my coupon and she said it wouldn’t work. She then handed me a stack of unopened coupons and told me to pick one. I asked her what if I don’t get one for 40%. She responded then you don’t get it. Due to her rudeness and huffing and puffing and talking over me the entire time, I said I was done and wheeled my wheelchair right out. I also during this visit, picked up a 2 in nail in the wheel of my wheelchair. I have shopped at j c Penney for over 50 years and that was the last time. If I could give zero stars I would.”

“Have been living at my current address for 11 years & a few times I’ve ordered online and had it delivered. This week I ordered 1 item & when I got the confirmation email the shipping address was my previous address from 11 years ago. I immediately called customer service but “because I waited over an hour to call …. They could not change the shipping address.”
After several calls to them, getting the same answer- one rep stated “I could send it back to the warehouse & we will credit your account once received “ (well - you can change THAT in the system but not the shipping address? And how ironic that their bill comes to the right address)
I was told “to wait for the UPS tracking email & I could change it through them”
WRONG …. After FINALLY getting a person, UPS told me “they could only change the street address…. Not the street address and the town …. & their client- JC Penney - should have called them to correct the issue as soon as I called them ….”

“I'm actually surprised they are still open and running. You definitely can't get anyone to pick up the phone in the salon.1 person working..totally ridiculous if you can't pay your employees that you need to run a business ," then you shouldn't be in business.”
“I was in the twin falls salon and had my eyebrows waxed. At the time I got them waxed I could not see up close until I got home. The person did an okay job but I still had to clean some more up when I got back home, and the price was a lot.”

“After years of saying no when asked if I would like to apply for a JCPenny credit card, I finally decided to do so. It was activated at the register with an employee who called to verify. After speaking on the phone (at the register) answering numerous questions 'to verify my authenticity' I made my purchase. Only to go to the salon and have my second transaction declined! The cashier had me call the customer support. AGAIN, I went through the same 'authenticity verification' in front of other customers. How embarrassing.
Part of this new verification was sending a text to my phone that I had to repeat back to them. I said I was just verified at the previous check out. Why are you doing this again? I asked to speak to a manager so I could explain why I am canceling my card. That manager Diago was rude and obnoxious. (Listen to the recorded call if you care) I hung up on him. Stop encouraging your customers to apply for a credit card if your going to embarrass them (twice in one day) at the register.”
“The JC Penney online store has many good options and prices. In store is another story. Very limited options, very few helpful employees, hardly any fitting rooms or registers. I wanted to pay for an item. Walked to where I knew there was a register, closed. Went to another and was directed to the second floor children's department. At that point I was tired of searching the store and dropped it on the c counter and left. The stores blame online shopping for poor in store shopping but why would you go to the mall and have to hike the entire store just to pay for your purchase?”
“I am so sick and tired of trying to check out at JCPENNEY!!! They only have one check out point with one person working every time I come. I love the quality, but THIS is too much!!!!”
“As I was waiting for a pre booked appointment in the JCP salon, I realized the salon was having an event for 10$ haircuts. Many people where coming in and being turned away, as there was no availability at the time of their arrival. I noticed that the customers were extremely annoyed and irritated. They drove from there homes only to be turned away. They were very rude to the manager and stylists at the reception area. If the purpose of this event was to draw in new clients, I'm sad to inform you that it's a big fail.”

“Ordered clothing for my Grandson. 8 out of 9 items came in correct. Went online to return the 1 item which was incorrect, and to return it it was going to cost me $8 for their error. Received 48 X 29 Mens Jeans instead of 4T 4 Piece PJ set. All I wanted to do was send them back and have them send out correct item. Called # for customer service and it was a total joke. Just wanted to ship back and once received they could ship me correct item. Never, ever had this issue with Macy's. Went as far as taking a picture of the received item with the label clearly saying 4 piece PJ set.”
