“I too have been very disappointed with ordering from these folks. Ordered something that was going to be a gift to someone else. I don't believe the order ever shipped (never received the order), however when I called the customer service people (which was also a joke), the "recorded" message said it would be delivered on an specific date. Well, that never happened either. I kept saying "representative", thinking I would eventually get to speak to a live person. That never happened, and eventually they disconnected. I agree with those here that have offered terrible reviews. l hate to say this company is a scam, but with what I went through with them, it would appear, that's what they are. I never received the item, and must say that to my knowledge, my credit card has not been charged. Save yourself a lot of grief and don't get duped as many others have. I won't use them again.”

“I also was charged 14.95 for the perks plan without my consent. I've called twice to cancel and refund and a week later still not resolved. their info says they ship postal service but that's a lie, they ship fedex to the post office. my order has been in shipment now for 7 days. It has been in more states across country than I can name. Perhaps I will lodge a complain with the Better Business Bureau. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY”

“I am a regular customer and have been lucky with my orders in that the items have been good. HOWEVER, I placed an order and did NOT get the free shipping. The coupon expired tonight at midnight. I called “customer service” when I realized I was being charged for shipping & saw my order did not ship yet. I was told since i ordered 4 days ago, i could not get free shipping…I would have had to call yesterday! There is a 3-day limit to amend the shipping. Seriously?????? I order lots from Lakeside but am so turned off right now.”

“As I’m sitting here looking through their holiday catalog. I decided to check out their company reviews. Simply because it WOULD HAVE been my first time ordering from Lakeside collection. However because of their horrible reviews the catalog is now in the trash.”

“Seriously, stay away from this company. They automatically signed me up for their $14.95 monthly perks fee. I had no idea until PayPal sent a notice. Also, they wait days for notification of your order that you didn’t even think went through in the first place. I’m returning everything unopened but have to pay a returned fee. Save yourself the headache and order from someone else.”

“Customer service is rude! One minute she said I was charged on the 6th but it posted on the 7th then when She said the membership was canceled like what am I paying for I am paying y’all for nothing! I didn’t even know I was being charged $14.95 a month for months now from them. If you buy anything from this store this is what you will be charged monthly!”

“I have placed orders in the past, no complaints. BUt..try ordering a new catalog, 4 times I have called and was told they would make sure was one was sent in 1- 2 weeks (ha ha) Really! LAST CHANCE”

“I received the product, but had to return it, because it was too large. I couldn't understand the woman on the phone, VERY strong Indian accent. When I did understand some words, I answered her question, only to be asked that same question AGAIN later. I got so frustrated with a simple return process, I had to hangup.”

“POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, GOT HUNG UP ON MULTIPLE TIMES! Computer system generated wrong address and when I called not 5 minutes later, the rep lied and said she changed my address. Requested a supervisor several times and was told they were too busy to speak to me. Sent several messages with no response. WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN!!!”

“Very disappointed- 1. name for recipient was not what I put on order. 2. Sent a tracking number 7 days after order and Fed Ex has no record of the order. 3. Chatted online with incompetent associate and never did answer the questions. 4. A gift that I still have no idea where it is or when will arrive. Do not use this company to send gifts. Unreliable. Probably out of US.”

“Took a chance ordering some items. Still no package. After talking to 3 different phone reps that gave me 3 different delivery dates. I have now been informed I have to wait another 2 weeks to see if package appears. Then “they” will review my order for a possible refund. No guarantee.”

“I bought a hot brush which doesn’t brush through your hair like the advertisement. Also the off button doesn’t work so had a very near disaster after it started burning my dresser”

“Don’t buy anything. Very, very non-English speaking and understanding phone people, ordered items three weeks ago and nothing. I called I was given a 22 numbered tracking number asked to contact Fed Ex myself—if these items get here I’m wondering if they’ll be garbage!!!”

“I had live cockroach in my items. I called customer service and was transferred five times and hung up on once. Lakeside would not do anything to help me. They would not send a courier to pickup the package as it sat with all the items on my front lawn. This was the first and LAST time I would ever order from this company!!”

“I ordered a 3-tier rustic basket thing. I waited months due to back order. My husband said, “I hope you didn’t pay a lot for this”. The holes were not centered & screws went out the side of the holes. Had to improvise. So flimsy & cheap. A few pieces seem to be warped. We expect it to fall apart quickly. Not worth the $60 I paid for it.”
