“Ordered two patio chairs from Lamps Plus and they arrived in an obviously open box and they were damaged. The hardware was scattered all over the box, one area of the rattan on the chair was severed (so will eventually unravel), there was rust where the bolts go, loose button on cushion, and metal part of chair had scratches. And while Lamps Plus agreed to pay for the return, it is up to us to get this extremely heavy box back to the shipper. Waste of so much time. I wrote a review on their website and they didn't put it up, even though I wrote it twice, so don't believe their reviews as they seem to only put up the positive ones.”
“Awful company to deal with. Received my item that was completely opened. After inspection of the item inside found scratches on the frame. This item was quite obvious an open box return that had been sent to us. Customer assistants were snippy & unhelpful. Item has to be returned & then they will send out a replacement. No offer of any compensation for our time or inconvenience.”
“I purchased three fans from Lamps Plus two wet rated fans for outdoors and this one for my living room. Nearly three years to date, this fan’s motor is making a grinding noise when you turn it on. Of course, because of whatever is going on inside the motor the fan will not even come on. For the price tag I would absolutely expect a bit more longevity for these fans. Bcos one of my wet fans has been malfunctioning for nearly two years. It randomly goes off and on by itself, but I guess I should be grateful that it still works considering the issue I’m having with this fan.
It is so unfair that we consumers work so hard to have nice things only to be duked by these retailers with their fancy ads, fake reviews, short warranties, and overall poor or hit or miss quality products. At least long time places like Home Depot and Lowe’s they have 5 year or lifetime warranties on most of their ceiling fan motors.
I feel that Lamp Plus does not really believe in the quality of their fans, otherwise why only give a one year warranty….one year is not enough time to scale quality. I’ve referred this fan to so many family and friends, and even contractors and sales people who have done work at my home. I am hopeful that anyone who has purchased this fan from Lamps Plus based on my word of mouth has not suffered the same fate.
These sort of experiences or issues and reduced warranties make it more and more difficult for me to trust and support many of these online warehouse type retailers. Once they have your money they don’t care about the rest of the experience. I am so bummed about this issue bcos I am out $500 for a ceiling fan that only lasted 3 years.
I thought Lamps Plus was a reputable retailer. I guess I didn’t do enough research or read enough reviews about this fan or rather Lamps Plus prior to my purchase. What a rip off.”
“i went to the Lamps plus AGAIN bc i had a return. I was in and out in 5 mins. I was helped out by Bethany, Juan, and Austin. They helped with my return, then walked out my new chandalier to my car. Also we told jokes. Good human here! THis is the lamps plus in Ventura, CA!”
“Placed my order 10/2021 fan finally came 11/26/2021. Problems from day one w/ remote & fan contacted Lamps CS. They can’t help direct to manufacture. Remote was issue then & still is meanwhile $400+ for fan waited 2 mons for it & it never worked properly. B/c it’s 1 yr 1 mon from received product only option is to pay them another $54 for a remote w/ zero guarantee it will solve issue. Not to mention every time I speak w/ CS they are so rude. I am writing this letter to show how dissatisfied I am with the product. I was excited to see how it tasted, since I heard great rumors about the taste. So I saved up 284.04 dollars, to get the exquisite taste. I was very thrilled to have it when I got home from the store. But when I tried eating the lava lamp I was very disgusted with the taste, it was so bad it tasted like bitter almonds! I was shocked, I saw very good reviews about the product, that's why I bought it. Oblivious to the scam that was to come.
Since I ate your horrific tasting lava lamp, I got fined by a police officer because my neighbor was worried about me! I just wanted to taste it and got fined and arrested for quote on quote “Self harm”! I got fined 350.09 dollars. I am very disappointed in the fact that it tasted so bad that the neighbor could hear me crying after eating it, and called the police because she was concerned, thanks for a lot Mrs. Emily Longhorn!
Therefore I ask the company Lamps Plus to give me compensation in court, for how disgusting the lava lamp tasted. In court I will ask of you for 864.04 dollars, so be prepared for me to sue you for your faulty product. Not only for money, but for the hope that you will make quality tasting lava lamps. “I have been a loyal customer of Lamps Plus and have purchased a number of lamps from the company. In 2018, I purchased a floor lamp with a LED bulb and was happy until the bulb burned out. I could not remove the bulb without it disintegrating into a mess and we were told by the company that the bulb could not be replaced. So, essentially, we paid $170 for a light bulb because we could never replace the bulb rendering the lamp useless.
I contacted Lamps Plus and tried mightily to receive a replacement lamp but was told the lamp had a 1 year warranty. I have lamps in my home that are 48 years old that work perfectly and this lamp from Lamps Plus might have been one of them if I had been able to replace a light bulb. The company should have written in the text that the money spent was just for the life of the bulb.”
“I will never purchase a product from Lamps Plus , I had a thousand dollar order , they shipped the ceiling fans without the part to hang them , they continually delay the shipping of the part , they refunded $80.00 they said that is all they could . I really wish I would have went to Home Depot , Amazon , or just not have purchased them . The fans have been sitting in my living room for over 3 months . I have chose not to return them , because I live in Hawaii , the fans are assembled and the boxes are gone . This was a big mistake . Buyer beware .”

“I ordered a desk lamp from Lamps Plus. FedEx reported the lamp as delivered, but it was not at my door on that day. It was likely delivered to the wrong address, which is a common occurrence in my neighborhood. I asked Lamps Plus for a replacement; after six weeks of thinking about it, they rejected my request. So now I have no lamp and a charge for $160. This is unacceptable. The consumer does not come first for this company. So be cognizant of the fact that loss or theft is your risk, not theirs.”

“I ordered a mirror and immediately realized it would not work. I called to cancel the order but customer service was closed. I left a message via email. I called again first thing in the morning and they were still closed. I called a third time and finally spoke with some one who told me that the shipment was already on the truck to transport to Fed Ex but she would put in an expedited cancellation. Much later in the day I got 2 emails saying they couldn’t stop the shipment. I then called fed ex when I got the tracking number to cancel via them. I was told there was a Special instruction that I could not cancel the shipment only lamps plus could. I tried to stop delivery via Fed Ex and got the same response. I have concluded that lamps plus wants ME to pay for the return shipping even though at any point they could have called Fed Ex and stopped the shipment but refused to do so. They have lost a long time customer. I’ll NEVER purchase from them again!”
