“Reserveer GEEN auto via Leasys!!!!
Wij reserveerden een auto via Ryanair voor tijdens ons verblijf in Italië. Toen wij deze vooraf betaalden auto wilden gaan ophalen in de luchthaven van Pisa bij Leasys Flex kregen wij deze niet mee omdat ze onze Belgische creditcard niet wilden aanvaarden voor de betaling van de waarborg.
We waren dus genoodzaakt bij een ander verhuurverblijf een auto te reserveren.
Maar het meest zotte van al is dat wij ons geld (€ 569) niet terug krijgen! Wat wij ook probeerden, overal wordt de paraplu opengetrokken.
Leasys is dus een corrupt bedrijf!”
“On arrival to collect our vehicle we were asked for 75 euros for a additional driver we had paper copies of our booking showing additional driver free the staff became quite angry and said on their system it did not show additional driver free we gave them the copy but they stated the voucher was incorrect and we still needed to pay the staff member was rude angry and said we should have booked directly through Leasys not a broker I was so anoid because I thought the broker would have been asked by Leasys to advertise their company and the booking should be honoured we were there for 2 hours with 2 grandchildren age 5 and 3 it was 35 degrees no water etc available whilst they contacted the boss who eventually said we had to pay as the voucher was a mistake. 6 days into our 11 day holiday the car broke down we were stranded for 3 hours in temperatures approx 40 degrees whilst we waited for a tow truck my husband was told a taxi would collect him to take him to pick up another car I took my grandchildren back to the house in the other rental car when my husband got to the office at 9pm at night the staff said he couldn't have another car without a credit card they closed at 10pm so dropped my husband off at the airport I had to drive 1 hour 30 minutes to pick him up we then had to drive back to the office the next morning to pick up another car there were 6 of us so needed 2 cars we were charged 495 euros for the tow truck the staff member was rude and angry towards us his manner as per customer service was truly awful”
“Absolutely terrible from start to finish. A horrible company we will never use again. The customer service is terrible and they don’t get back to you and they overcharged us.”
“This company is TERRIBLE. They gave us a rental car with an empty tank and told us to bring it back EMPTY--then proceeded to charge us 251 Euro for gas. We have the contract with their initials as evidence that the car was empty when we picked it up and yet, they refuse to refund our money. DO NOT USE this awful car rental company.”
“HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH LEASYS. The worst rental car company I have ever met. I rented a car with them because through some search engines on the Internet I had obtained a good price, although I did not know this provider yet. On the day of presentation and collection of the vehicle, the problems began: As it is usual in most rent a car companies, they give you a choice between two options: Option 1: Take out an all-risk insurance policy for a high amount, which can be the double or more than the original price of the reservation. Option 2: Make a deposit as a guarantee of 1000 euros to cover possible damages or expenses caused by the misuse of the vehicle.
The company wants at all costs to force all customers who come to its branch to contract the Option 1, which is terribly expensive. To achieve this they will use all imaginable tricks. In my case, the trick was the following: I opted for the Option 2, to make a deposit of 1000 euros as a guarantee and keeping the original price of my reservation. At the moment to do the payment of 1000 euros as a deposit, I gave my card (a VISA). The employee who attended me did not deign to even try to make the payment on the payment terminal, he simply took a quick look at my card and said that it was "not valid". (I must say that I have used this card for years with different rental car companies, doing deposits with it as a guarantee exactly the same as on this occasion, and I never had any problem with it). Very surprised with the refusal, I explained that this is the only one card that I have, and that in fact it works perfectly. The clerk did not give me any alternative options. If you do not present "a valid card" according to the criteria of the company it is not possible to make the deposit. Then I offered to do the deposit in cash, to which the employee flatly refused to accept the money. I asked for more alternative ways of payment (bizum, bank transfer, PayPal, etc.). The employee's response remained the same: they absolutely refuse to accept any ways of payment other than a bank card "valid according to the criteria of the company". What was the real reason for all this "cartoon" around the card? To force me to opt for Option 1: To take out the comprehensive insurance policy that raises the price of the reservation to the double of the original amount.
After many problems, and a long delay of more than 2 hours at the start of my trip, I was forced to take out the all-risk insurance policy to avoid being isolated and without the possibility to do my trip, with an enormous economic damage.
I WILL NEVER RENT ANYTHING WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN. I have felt scamed and cheated.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RENT A CAR COMPANY TO ANYONE.”
