Still having an issue with lookers star city Birmingham, I had a dashboard light come on saying injector fault, I called the AA , they checked it and told me to take the van to lookers, I have parts and garage cover with the AA up to £500 , I Drove my van into lookers, it was driving perfectly, they took the van in they supposedly fixed the issue not before charging me £800 + I called them up and asked about my van it took an hour to get someone to answer the phone, finally they said they would take it for a test run and get back to me, they never did, I called back the next day, again hour or more to get through, they said they took it for a test run but it was now losing power, they said they would sort this out for free, , I have been calling them for the last 4 days , could not get an answer, I called the AA, they said they were still waiting for the diagnosis report from lookers, I told them that lookers have had my van for nearly 3 weeks now, my wife is disabled and has hospital appointments, the AA said have my van taken to another garage if I am not happy, looker want me to pay the £800+ before I can take my van, not only have they not fixed my van they have made it worse and expect me to pay for it, and the best part is my van is a Vauxhall vicarious, Vauxhall can not even fix ther own modules , looks like I will be taking them to court, jokers Avoid lookers at all cost, read all the reviews I don’t think ther is a good review to read

Purchased a new car (1 year old) and I thought buyers should be aware of the experience you will get as a customer. I’ll make this short. - Vehicle health checks (VHC) are never properly carried out. The “intense” VHC pre sales missed the old level being low, front tires almost running low and screen wash empty. - Second VHC to fix the above (requested by me as I noticed the issues) came up as valid and cleared off by the Lookers - Car went in for a water ingress issue and the VHC asked me to pay £25 for an oil top up. So after 3 VHC, the oil level couldn’t even be checked properly. Imagine being someone who doesn’t know anything about cars, pays for a full service and thinks their car is all fine when in reality the most basic checks missed the oil level not once, not twice but three times…. - Staff are almost impossible to get hold of. As a customer, be expected to be the person constantly chasing them. If you don’t get replies via emails, ring the office to only find out staff are “Out of office” with no Out Of Office email. Very professional when you are a customer waiting for an update! If they have someone replacing them during their holiday, you can call the office and request a call back, but don’t hold your breath. - Do not buy a car with a sunroof, if you get a water ingress there is no fix. Like Looker said ‘ leaks on the sliding sunroof caused by blocked water drain valves are rectified using the cleaning and insertion aid – VAS 6620 – Water drain hoses have a flow rate of 2Ltr /Min. larger amounts of water cannot be drained’. In other words, if it rains too much, water ingress is acceptable. Superb when you live in UK! As a customer that has spent over 30K on a 1 year brand new car, I can only advise anyone thinking to use their service to walk away! Don’t fooled by the reviews. I changed my previous review as Lookers called me offering wine (which I didn’t accept) and to fix my issues to have the review changed!

Tried to book online for a first service for my car. Never even got a reply. I hate dealing with anyone in car trade and this is one of the many the reason why. Unprofessional couldn't-care-less attitude to customers means I would never consider buying a car from these people.

I recently had an airbag recall for my, admittedly, old Ford Mondeo. I took it to Lookers to have it exchanged. That part of the job was as expected; no issues, nothing to make them stand out as either good or bad. Then today I tried to open the bonnet of my car and realised that they had pulled so hard on the release catch that they had snapped the cable. I called them to ask them to repair it and they lied and stated they had not attempted to open the bonnet. At the bottom of their repair sheet for the airbag it states they could not open the bonnet so it wasn't checked. How could they know that they couldn't open the bonnet if they didn't attempt it? Yes, my car does have an issue with the bonnet release but I did tell them how to open it and I now cannot open it. To damage a car then refuse to repair it is unforgivable. So basically I got my car back in a worse state than when I gave it to them. I would recommend going elsewhere if you require honesty.

My experience with Lookers Edinburgh branch was absolutely horrendous. Booked a test drive and travelled through to Edinburgh only to find the car was not fit to be driven. Upon my arrival and prior to laying eyes on the vehicle, finance was the first thing discussed despite me having advised I was not interested in this. This seemed rather odd but appears to have been a delaying tactic. I was then left waiting for a further half hour before being advised the car was now on the forecourt however, the maximum speed it could be driven at was 50mph as it had 2 space saver wheels on the passenger side due to work being done on the alloys! The car had not been valeted so was filthy inside and out with the engine covered in dust and debris and therefore not presented in an acceptable condition for sale and certainly not fit to test drive. I was offered a test drive in another audi to get a feel of how it handles which I accepted as I did not want my journey through to Edinburgh to be a complete waste of time. I was then given an insulting trade in offer should I still wish to purchase this car. You’d think the Manager would have come to explain why the car was not prepared for the booked test drive and perhaps offer to bring the car to my home to test drive at a suitable time due to the inconvenience caused but no, the manager was nowhere to be seen. This whole experience put me totally off the car which was probably just as well as it was removed from their site a day later! I’m now counting my blessings I did not test drive it. I made a complaint to Lookers emphasising it was concerning as best that the car was suddenly removed from their site suggesting a serious issue with it as there is absolutely no way on this earth it had sold already, especially in the unpresentable condition it was in. Their reply did not comment on this. It simply apologised and stated Lookers Edinburgh Audi will investigate the issues I raised and contact me to discuss. So, you make a formal complaint and the branch you are complaining about investigates itself – what a joke!! Needless to say, I will have no further dealings with Lookers.

To be honest they were initially very impressive but the experience of late has been horrendous. I had to cancel the order for my car. They told me on 4 September that they were returning the Circa 50k I paid them some time ago, that day (without interest.) They then stopped answering emails and have sent me an email on 6 sept to the effect that they have not yet refunded me. Dreadful stuff. Would go elsewhere.

Purchased a car online from their Blackburn dealership and had it delivered at a cost of £160. Car was in poor condition with no documentation and found I had to chase Lookers all the time. Now 6 weeks later no logbook so I phoned the DVLA and they’ve never received it from Lookers. Rubbish company and would not recommend purchasing a car from them.

Asked for certain work to be completed. This was not added to the job sheet. Instead I was told I had over £2000 worth of work needing done URGENTLY. Moreover, they offered me credit to pay for it. MOst of the urgent work had already been done at another garage but, because it didn't appear on Audi's computer, it didnt exist. After refusing the extra work i was not treated as nicely as before. Instead I was phoned to pick up my car with about 25 minutes to get to the garage through rush hour traffic in Glasgow. May be my imagination but felt i was being punished for my non compliance. From 10am to 6pm to change my oil seems a bit excessive. To add insult to injury they hadn't even extinguished the service light on the dash. They even tried to wriggle out of that one too. Never again. Not the first problem Ive had with them over the years but they never change.

Would never buy another vehicle from these clowns. Nothing but hassle from day 1. Would be nice for a call back but even managers can't do that.

Purchased a car from Lookers Teesside and was promised a free service as part of the deal. This has never materialised and despite phone calls and complaining I’m now advised there wasn’t any paperwork completed and I wouldn’t be receiving a service. They are not to be trusted and I will not return.

I arranged to view and possibly a purchase an Audi in Glasgow after confirming the price by phone. After driving for over an hour from my home to the showroom I was told the price had increased by £1,000. It was shockingly poor customer service and I won't ever purchase a car from Lookers.

Bought a 19 plate Fiat Abarth (GD19YEB) from Lookers Battersea. After the initial payment of the deposit the communication was terrible, but finally picked the car up on Thursday. On was home the tyre pressure warning light came on, got home put air in the tyre and reset the light and parked the car up. 2 hours later decide to take the car out. Started the car Engine Management light came on. Phoned Lookers up, was told they would pick the car either Friday or Saturday. They phoned me up on Friday and told me they would pick up Monday, I said this was not good enough so they turned up on Friday. Waited for a call all day Friday to find out what the diagnosis was but they never came back to so I called them Saturday. Was told the it was diagnosed as faulty "Fuel Purge Valve". They said they would replace it and return the car on Monday. So on Monday they called to say it had been done and been test driven twice with no further issues and were retuning the car that evening. About 6.30 I had a call to say the Engine Management Light came on again when they were returning the car. Was promised a call back by 10:00 am the next day, this was then changed to later in the morning as advised by email. No surprise to me the call never happened, so once again I had to chase them. Was told they could not reset the Engine Management Light, they could only turn it off and had to go to Fiat main dealer to be done. By then I had totally lost confidence in the car and Lookers Battersea themselves and told them to cancel the car and didn't want it. They said they would return my deposit of £2250 the next day. This didn't happen after a further unknown amount of phone calls and Emails they finally returned the deposit money a week later. They also promised to refund the money for a months tax and the charge for my Insurance change, but that has not turned up and probably never will. All I can say is don't bother with Lookers Battersea, it was a terrible experience Shame I actually they got 1 star
