Me and my friend recently returned from a holiday to Egypt, everything was going fine until we got to our hotel, for some stupid reason love holidays had scheduled us to arrive on the 14th despite our flights and transfer being on the 17th. This ultimately led us to being on the streets at midnight, plus I'm legally blind so my friend is panicking, worrying for my safety. We eventually found a new hotel, and had to pay an extra £580 for a week. We did get a refund for the other hotel, plus love holidays did find us a new hotel but didn't even call us to confirm it, and we couldn't check as internet wasn't available. So we're £580 out of pocket, if communication was better this could have been avoided. Very unreliable, will never book through them again.

Absolutely horrendous service We booked a holiday and all seemed good till 24 hours later we received an email from love holiday stating the price has increased and the flights changed alongside this. We emailed them back and asked why as we had booked at the price we paid and the same package was still available at the price we paid on their website. They emailed us back with a response saying the price had increased yet again. I’ve tried calling love holiday but they have a virtual assistant who is of no help so after 55 mins on the call I eventually hung up. The frustrating thing is the same package is still available with our original flights at the original price we paid. All I can say is that they’re advertising fake packages and once people have been lured in they increase the price. Very dissatisfied. I’ve never used love holiday to book holidays and will tell all family and friends who recommended them about this disservice.

Then back in the queue no one is helpful accordingly paying £850 a month payment and rooms aren't even booked will never be using these again absolutely sh!te. Do not spend any money with them.

This is a scam company do not book with them. They cheat you into thinking you have booked a holiday and then you receive an email to say it’s not actually booked. They also take your money straight away so you can’t book another holiday full stop absolutely disgusting company

My partner and I wanted to plan the trip of a lifetime. My partner has been saving for the last three years to finally secure a mortgage, and as a way to celebrate, I thought one last hurrah of a holiday would be a great way to celebrate before we enter the next chapter. I have heard a few mixed reviews about loveholidays, however my mother booked through them before and had no issues so I thought it couldn’t hurt – oh was I wrong. On the 6th of January, I called loveholidays to begin planning this trip of a lifetime. As first experiences go, I had a very pleasant lady dealing with my booking over the phone. She was very informative, and very confident and about the hotel of choice. Stating she knew a lot about the hotel, all the different rooms, all the different views, what the hotel had to offer et cetera. I felt at ease, I felt her reassured due to her familiarity with the hotel. When discussing the booking, she asked did I want a resort view or did I want to Seaview? I asked the difference in price, she said it was an extra few hundred for the seaview which was a deluxe room, and I said the standard double room will do just fine. We didn’t care all that much about a view. And so the booking was made and I paid a quick deposit which is always a great way to secure a booking, as you can pay in instalments. I paid over €300 for the deposit for us both and all seemed fine. Fast forward a few days later, I’m really looking forward to this holiday in April and so I start looking at the latest reviews. For context, prior to booking I researched the hotel and several hotels around the area. I would be very hesitant to pay a lot of money if a hotel didn’t have the best reviews. And seeing as it was Cancun of all places and the price that you would imagine that holiday would cost, I did vigorous research. So over the next few days, I decide to start checking in with TripAdvisor and see if there were any new reviews. I come across the latest review (I’ll attach) of the standard double room that we booked. Looking at the review, I’m sure you can imagine my shock when I read it. The first thing I did was contact loveholidays immediately. They are not the easiest people to get hold of as you could be waiting quite awhile to actually get through to someone, but I did manage to get through to someone thankfully, I spent about 25 minutes on the phone to a customer service representative explaining the whole situation. The great thing about loveholidays is that their bookings and all conversations are recorded. I’ve advise customer representative to please listen back to that recording and I asked that a ticket be raised with regards to the room change. The next day, I decided to follow up, and I spoke with someone virtually who advised me that no ticket was raised – you can imagine my frustration. And again, I’m left ringing loveholidays, explaining the same situation to another representative, another 30 minutes on the phone. However, this time my ticket is finally raised. Fast forward a few days, nothing has changed and so I’m left ringing them again, speaking to yet another representative for over 30 minutes and hoping that there will be some resolution. A few days later, I finally got an email from their “amendments team” with the quote for a room upgrade. They advise me that the price of the package had increased an extra €800, but they were going to deduct that amount from the balance as they were going to compensate for the error on misleading information sold to me during my booking. I was delighted, finally seem to be getting somewhere, and the organisation were taking the hit as they knew that they were fault. However, we just had one problem, the room that they had quoted me for, is not a room that is actually available in that specific hotel. I emailed back to query further and have them clarify what room this was going to be as I was fearful that we’d end up with another hotel room for 10 days and 35° heat with no window. I never heard back, so I decided to call loveholidays again. Coincidentally, the so-called amendments team, cannot be contacted via phone and you can only get through to them by responding to the email. I spent another 30+ minutes on the phone to yet another customer representative – I honestly felt like a broken record. I asked the customer representative if there was any way that she could tell me more as she could see the emails back-and-forth from her screen. She tried her best but she couldn’t do much. She told me to just wait for an update. Now bear in mind, loveholidays were only giving me 48 hours to actually come to an agreement on the room, so I felt a bit under pressure, and a bit stressed trying to get this all sorted before the first direct debit goes out of my account on the 6th of February. As of today, I’ve just received an email, and let me tell you it is not a response to my query on the room change, it was actually a brand-new quote of a new upgrade and an additional €1600 they were trying to charge me. I got back to them in an email as I was so confused. I had emailed them back the other day to query the first new upgraded quote, and before I confirmed the change, I wanted to know why the room did not matching any of the rooms on the hotel website..and they never got back to that. INSTEAD, they were giving me a brand-new quote, and no compensation this time. I have honestly had enough, how many times do you need to call, and how many emails do you need to send to try and get some kind of resolution? I’m usually a calm person, I wouldn’t be one to rock the boat or complain, but my god, I have never been more frustrated in my entire life. So what did I do? Decided I was going to cancel the booking entirely. I am just off the phone to loveholidays now. They are trying to charge me €1360 to cancel my booking. I only paid around €300 to make a deposit. I told them over the phone that I was not going to pay that amount to cancel the booking when I received the worst customer service support, and a sales agent who sold me the most misleading information about a hotel I’ve ever had in my life. I asked them to escalate my ticket to management to see if we can make a deal on the cancellation charge. I advise them that I don’t mind paying some of it if loveholidays are willing to compensate that €800 they initially said they would for a room change towards the cancellation charge. All I can say is this is to be continued right now. I’ll probably have to wait a few more days until they get back to me, but I’m really hoping that it is before the direct debit date. I can’t express my frustration but I can encourage people to not use this organisation when booking for a holiday. It might all seem great, and the prices might seem fantastic, but at the end of the day if you have any issues with your booking, they will not help you. The stress this caused, it took the upmost goodness out of the holiday we’d hoped for. I don’t have money to throw around, it took the guts of a year to actually scrap money together for this dream holiday. I hope this issue might reach some listeners that were thinking of booking their summer holiday this year with loveholidays. After my experience, I really hope you don’t.

My anniversary trip to Malta turned into a nightmare after booking a penthouse with LH for £295. Upon checking the hotel’s website, I discovered a discrepancy in the number of penthouses listed—2 on the hotel site, and 3 as advertised by LH. Adding to the confusion, the “double/twin” room was priced higher than the selected “penthouse,” highlighting a potential human error in room availability uploads. Dealing with LH customer service has been a frustrating ordeal. I’ve spoken to 6 advisors over 2 weeks, facing cut-offs, interruptions, and belittlement. Despite requesting a manager call back twice, I’ve received no response. Advisors lack understanding, providing inadequate resolutions and wasting my time. The mislabeling and false advertising of the hotel room by LH are met with no responsibility from their end, forcing me to pay for their mistake. I’ve escalated the matter to the ombudsman due to this disappointing experience.

Booking a holiday should be a joyful experience. I have a holiday booked with Loveholidays, which I picked via their website. Fairly straight forward, until you want to change something. After countless requests via the app and several premium rate phone calls, I am no further forward in amending my booking. I want to add another passenger and revise the choice of hotel to suit our requirements, but Loveholidays don't want to know. Telling me the hotel we want and room type is not available unless I make a new booking, which would lose me £1700 plus the £75 cancellation charge. This has been and continues to be the worst experience I have ever encountered dealing with a commercial business. Please if your reading this use a separate holiday provider.

Its unfortunate I have had very poor communication with your company and I am trying to get my issues resolved. I have a serious complaint that needs resolved. On the 17th Jan I booked a holiday with Robyn, I was informed by her , she/LH will pay for my private transfers and room upgrade and we requested information if I was to change my booking i.e hotel etc she informed me I would just need to go on to the portal manage my booking and I would be able to instantly change my holiday as I previously experienced on the portal for my last holiday with LH, at this point I was satisfied. Following in the evening my wife said the hotel wouldn't be suitable for a young baby , so I followed the process detailed by Robyn, to our shocking surprise on the portal It would not automatically update the hotel with live prices, in fact it would take 5 days for an admin team to respond back to us, within the 5 days the hotel prices will change and this would be a known issue, had Robyn been clear on the information for amendments I would not have booked. I even went on to live chat and it also says that they system will automatically offer prices, which it doesn't. Please see screen shots. I was also told my confirmation would be sent 15-20min after paying this was not the case around 4pm , i had to email Robyn around 8pm to remind her to send my documents. On the 18th Jan, I called LH to express my displeasure on receiving the wrong information from Robyn however if they were able to help me with changing my hotel, i would be happy. I called 2x and both times the agent put the phone down on me, my 3rd call was answered by Christopher, after a lengthy back and fourth strongly suggesting no one can help me except the amendments, he was able to get a manager to agree to change my hotel. the prices quoted was around £500 per person more, which is a lot more than the live price online, he suggested LF are charging £1500 more for the amendment however I told on the portal it states £25 for the amendment, he then agreed and said these are the live prices now, i told him to check again as online it was far cheaper see screen shot, the prices on the 18th Was cheaper than the price on the 17th night. I flet like my back was against the wall here, my wife wants a different hotel and suddenly the new hotel we want went up in price by £500 near per person however no other holiday on the LH website for Turkey went up this amount only my chosen hotel when i requested to change very fishy. Seems like the price was increased for my family. During this call Robyn also emailed the prices was around £1500 more, this also contradicts Christopher saying no one can change the booking apart from the A team, but Robyn can if if pay £1500 more. So anyway I chose another hotel. After Christopher had arranged this, I asked him to check, why i am paying for transfers this was free from Robyn, he said it was not, I asked if my room upgrade was free , he said no room upgrade is fee, then i asked why my flghts says 3x paid baggage when i only wanted 2, he said 3 has been added and 3 paid for. After the mist of all this head and miss information from the first contact on the 17th , i told him I want to complain and need a contact , he was unbale to assist... at this time i have to work myself. I called again on the 18th to express to your gent, (I did not get her name) went through the whole process and told her i want to cancel for the following reasons. 1)Robyn discussed changes and amendments, and you informed me all I would have to do is go on to the app and change e.g hotel and i could be done on the day as I experienced this the year before on the app, I found out today it can take 5 working days as it a manual process from customer services. 2) Robyn said you would include transfers and you / LH cover the cost, this was not the case and was confirmed by Christopher from customer service. 3) Robyn would add a sea view room at no additional cost, however, there is a cost for a sea view room that has cost in the total amount which is not itemized on the confirmation and you / LH said you with add that in for free. 4) Robyn said the confirmation would take 10-15 minutes after the call, however, i had to email you in the evening to send this across. 5) I requested baggage for 2 bags, you added 3 and this cost me extra for something I do not want. This in a short period of time has caused much head and hidden cost , miss information , miss representation, I want a full refund with no cancellation charges due the extremely poor service. We totally uncomfortable to go on holiday via and untrust worthy company. This call was not received warmly , infact it was quite rude and unhelpful and she made a manual request to the amendments team for the cancellation, she also logged a call for a manager to call me back and said it would take 72 hours also with a response from the admin team r.e my cancellation. So i am expecting a call and response to my cancellation on the 20th January. I also emailed Robyn a formal complaint to pass on to her manager and confirm this has been passed on, i did not get a response. 19th I emailed Robyn again to confirm if she had passed my complaint on and CCed Tom and Rob, still no response. 20th i called LH and spoke with Marcella , i again explained everything, she said I should get a response today and can see my messages and requested on the portal and the person I spoke to the 18th did log a call for a manger to call me however when Marcella checked the work schedule she said the manager is off until Monday, therefore the person who logged the call logged it inaccurately or knowing no one was going to call me back in 72 hours to resolve my issues. This is absolutely shocking i am going to these lengths to fix my issue. I want confirmation my holiday is fully cancelled with no charges to me at the very least, this tactic Robyn did by suggesting add-on upgrade are free and the change process is instant to secure as sale is appalling also the aftercare is very poor once the money has been taken. Misleading, mis information and hidden charges additional charges that was not request, these are concerns for any family with young children. I have had to try and find management people in LH to email his to get some response urgently. I have also seen online and on twitter that many other customer have had the same issues and worse. TOTAL FRAUDS. FRAUDS. Made a booking last sunday for Feb Half-term, with all the extras. Had to pay full price upfront to secure the deal. Got an email saying they need 72hrs to confirm things, never heard from them. When we called, they said they cant get the flights for which we paid for & have to pay £250.00 extra each or wait & hope. Asked to speak to the manager, got promised a call back same day before 5pm, but never heard from anyone. Called again next day, got told very rudely, we are not Robots, manager will call when possible, again no call back. Spoke to about 7 different people across 4 days without getting through to any senior person, getting a call back or any emails regarding the booking. Eventually gave up & cancelled our holiday, now waiting for a refund. Meanwhile prices for other options we originally had, have gone up so much that looks like we are priced-out now :( Never using or recommending them ever!! Date of experience: 14 January 2024

Ruined our Christmas 2023! Paid for a package deal to Sharm El Skeikh over 12 months and it wasn't cheap. Airline changed dates of departure so entire booking changed however love holiday rebooked my hotel 12 hours away from the airport. Imagine me turning up at 10pm and was told my hotel was 12 hours away and I need to hop on a flight to Hurgada!!!! Love holiday emergency service said I knew of the booking and it was my fault for choosing a hotel 12 hours away!!! That it was my fault and not their problem. I decided to go through the booking and saw that it was indeed their fault. Regardless of whose fault it is, I'm stranded in another Country with a child! It is now more than 24 hours and issue still unresolved after speaking to 5 staff members of the emergency team in love holiday! Myself and my son had to pay for our hotel rooms all over again and have not eaten all day. Nothing to love in love holidays! It should rename itself to disappointing holidays! Or hate holidays! Incompetent company holidays! We will take your money and leave you stranded holidays! Merry Christmas! They have Ruined Christmas for us! Post Love Holiday response 27th Dec 23. Is that the best you could do? You reached out to me for more information which I provided only for you to post the below lazy and shameless response. Please do better! Goes to show your offer of looking into the issue was just lip service and false. Asking for lead passenger when it is a mother and child booking! If you can't deduce who the lead passenger between an adult and a child, can you not see how hopeless your situation as a company can be? Post update: Hotel reservation staff at hotel left me a message to reach out to them and I panicked and so upset that there was a problem with a booking. We were on edge all through the trip thanks to love holidays. Love holidays said they did their best and offered zero compensation for the stress and inconvenience.

WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER HAD THE MISFORTUNE TO DEAL WITH! Took my money for a booking they cannot fulfil, but will not refund me. Keep telling me I have to wait 72 hours (even though I can see there are no rooms left). Refused to let me speak to a manager despite me asking several times. SCAM COMPANY. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

So i had found a holiday deal on their website where it said i can secure the booking by paying the deposit of £59 per person. So i had paid this deposit per person to secure the price i had found for this holiday, however once i had paid the deposit the money was taken out of my account and i had received an email saying that the order is pending. few hours later i get another email saying that they could not confirm the booking as the price of the flight has now changed and that i have to pay £80 extra for this. So basically i was mislead by the information on their website as it stated that the price can be SECURED with the deposit but even after paying the deposit my price was not secure and i was then told i need to pay extra in order to secure my booking. I had called love holidays and spoke to a customer support agent who then informed me that they are facing issues with the flight team, so because of their internal issues, me as a customer is now having to suffer for their incapability of running a business smoothly and i am having to face the charges for this. This is really frustrating as the whole point of paying the deposit which i had done was to secure the booking price on their website. This information is clearly misleading as they just want to take your money and then charge you extra once you have paid the deposit which is what

Total rubbish company you book a package holiday with them and agree there terms and conditions then have a problem which they are liable to sort out under there T&C and they then break them by breaking the law that they are bound by the worst company I have ever had to deal with wouldn't even think about using them again they are pathetic I hope the regulator fines them millions they have been informed. 👀
