Beautiful and soft like all extensions when you first get them. I have been using extensions for several years and many different brands. This is by the most expensive and most disappointing purchase I’ve had to review on. Stays soft but tangles easily and gets that matted feel when the newness sleekness disappears before you’re ready to even wash them.

I first purchased luxy extensions in 2012 and absolutely loved them, the colour and texture blended really well with my natural hair and they have lasted fairly well until now, when I decided to order a new set and thought I would try the halo option for ease. Unfortunately the texture, thickness and general feel of the extensions are not the same and remind me of Barbie doll hair. They look very fake when affixed (bulky) and seem unnaturally shiny and don’t blend the same either. There is also no way of realising this until the box is open; as the swab is a very small piece and can only really be used as a colour guide. I won’t be buying again and probably won’t be wearing the extensions either. A lot of money wasted and really disappointed.

I honestly would not recommend. I was so excited to test these out as I had heard such good things about Luxy. I noticed my extensions had a BUNCH of tiny black dots at the end of the strands. I reached out to customer service and they told me it was the follicle from something called a “club hair”. They said it was normal to have a few in each extension set. However, each piece is covered in them. I stressed this some more and they offered me either $30 back or $40 to a new set. They said that my set had been made to “Luxy standards” despite the ends of the hair looking horrible. It almost looks burnt at the end, and their only recommendation was to carefully cut them off. This is nearly impossible due to the sheer amount of them. I am highly disappointed to say the least, I was really looking forward to wearing these.

Ahhhh Luxy. You are remind me of my highschool boyfriend - sometimes great, sometimes trash. Never consistent. I’ve previously ordered the balayage 20 inch extensions and always loved them. I loved them because I can switch back and forth between these and my regular off black set and they blended perfectly without any need to do an actual balayage on my hair. I’ve highly recommended them to all my other dark haired gals - but now it’ll be a WARNING. For the price tag - these should be perfect, and they have been up until now. The set I just received looks like a teenage girl attempting a balayage dyed them and instead ended up with 90’s chunky streaks. The line where the dye ends is so blunt it’s painful to look at, these are like the ugly 3rd cousin of what I’d received previously. Excuse my rage, but the for the price wtf. 😭 The 2 stars are for hair quality, these are full and silky.. but I am rushing to get out to a New Year’s Eve dinner and currently look like I visited my teenage self for a pre-party hair dye.. even curling is only helping so much. Save your money ladies - stick with the solid colours and you’ll be okay.

I ordered the 16 inch fill in extensions for my thin hair. Unfortunately, these are not as thin as expected and the clip section is rather thick and noticeable in my hair. The color match was spot on, I will say that. Also, the hair tends to look more synthentic than real. Once the package is opened it's not returnable. Not the experience I was hoping for.

Is hair is good quality but The products are not great. The halo twelve inch was awful, it had too much hair at the ends, and was blunt cut at the bottom. It doesnt blend or style well at all. And the poneytaiI had to throw out.

Nice hair, but quite thin. i need to order 2 packages for full look. And it’s so Pricey, not going to order from them again 3.5/5 stars!

I have super thick hair, these extensions are made for thick hair girlies. It’s still very soft and nice hair, it’s just not very good for girls who have thick hair

Hair is too thick at the clips. Does not stay flush to scalp. Not helpful with you have thin hair. Of course you can’t return.

Color washed out of two out of three sets. Haven't shampooed third yet but not hopeful. I love the quality and colors, but can't shampoo and maintain original color

I was disappointed. I don't disagree with the weft method. I agree that there has to be some way to get people to see the color before opening the product. I agree that you can't resell an open product. When I opened mine and looked at my weft I thought that it was pretty close, but the blonde color that was sent doesn't match the picture that represents that color. The box doesn't have the color name on it, but it has a number, so there's really no way for me to know if they sent me the color that I ordered. When I reached out to customer service, they were very nice, but I feel like there are exceptions to every rule. I had originally asked if they had any pictures of models with the sandy brown balayage that I had ordered. She told me that since it was discontinued they don't have any pictures. I wanted to see how it looked elsewhere besides the only picture that they provided for that color. But the picture of the extensions of this color also don't match the picture of the bun that they provide. I was basing my color off of the hair extension color. The product description says that it will last up to 6 months. I'm sure I can make mine go longer, but I wouldn't have ordered it had I known that. I wouldn't have ordered it had I known it wasn't the same color as what was in the picture. I do like the feel of the hair and the weight is good.

Beautiful color and very thick however if you plan on buying these for every day wear please read this and do not bother! Some backstory, my first time purchasing Luxy hair and was so excited as I’ve heard amazing reviews! I ordered (20 inch halo brown - blonde balyage) and I wear them at least 5 times a week, always hang overnight and brush with a special hair extension brush, I never use heat on them and only curl using rollers . I purchased these in October and have washed them 3 times with sulfate free shampoo and conditioner, and will say again have never used heat to them. The two front wefts are so beyond matted as if the hair was made of silicone!!! They are too matted to the point I will have to throw them out even though they realistically have so much more wear left in them as there has been no shedding or any other issues. I’ve tried repairing with deep conditioning treatments and nothing is working, they go into my hair brushed and styled and not even 10 minutes later they are completely matted and tangled. I’m so disappointed as I saved up for so long to buy these and it is very evident these are not made of remy hair. I am so upset and disappointed.

I’ve been a happy Luxy customer for years however very disappointed in them the last few orders. I place 3 seperate orders over the past few months for the 20 inch ponytails (I get 2 bundles each time) and all 3 deliveries were WAY shorter than in the past. They are the 16 inch length as advertised on the website NOT the 20 inch. I can’t wear them bc the length doesn’t match my full extension length. Customer service would not let me return them even after I sent detailed pics of the wrong length! Complete waste of money and disappointment. Just warning anyone getting the 20 inch ponytail it will NOT be the right length and you apparently won’t be able to return them.

I’ve been buying these extensions for 4 years now and I have to say that every new pair that i buy the quality gets worse and worse… my very first pair was in 2019 and they last me one year and now after 3 months I can feel that the hair gets damaged more quickly and the hair feels horrible and I don’t use them every day… I use them like one or twice a week or even every two weeks… so I think they lower their quality on the hair and that’s bad because they keep rising their prices.
