“Salmon is great web site is terrible. Web site always glitches and adds extra units to your order when you go to check out. Have complained however no action. Beware. First time it happened it turned an order of one into two. I called immediately (ie inside of a minute) to request they restore it to one and was told they could not do anything. Terrible site and service”
“I spent $100 on food that I never got to try due to incorrect instructions on the packages. The boxes the food came in said refrigerate once received. However when I went to the website to see what temp to cook it on it said to freeze the food. Won’t be ordering from you again.”
“I have repeatedly asked you not to ask me to review and to unsubscribe me - does not work - so here goes. I bought three items Chateaubriand, No Bone Prime Rib (both beefs were fully cooked just reheat) and smoked salmon.
1. The Chateaubriand was very tender - however taste was not like a good quality beef but over spiced or chemical type additive Monosodium glutamate. We had for Christmas dinner once and I threw out leftover.
2. Prime Rib - not so tender consistently - had same over spiced - chemical taste the Chateaubriand did. I tried a piece and could not eat it. My husband finished one piece and we threw out the rest.
3. Smoked salmon - just ok - no better than store bought smoked salmon - however this was very oily and hard to separate. Bought several packages - used two and gave up trying to separate and threw out the other packages.
4. Bought the Asparagus Asiago Spears did not heat up well and dried out - tasteless
4. I had ordered the Chateaubriand as a gift for a friend and her family - they also thought very tender but overspiced and you could taste the spices but not good quality beef as you would be used to in a restaurant.
So a lot of money plus express shipping and would not try anything again. Sorry maybe now you will unsubscribe me and stop bothering me with emails almost daily.”
“I ordered a gift certificate for a niece for Christmas. When she received the gift certificate, she called Mackenzie to order some food. She was told that the gift card number she received was either incorrect or it had not yet been validated and that I had to call Mackenzie to get it straightened out. I called Mackenzie and was told the same thing and was assigned a case number on Dec. 18. On Dec. 18, I received a call from Mackenzie telling me that my niece had to call Mackenzie. I explained that my niece had been told that I needed to call. The Mackenzie person would not talk with me and only wanted my niece's phone number which I reluctantly provided. Mackenzie never called my niece. I called Mackenzie on Dec. 20 and was told it would take another 1 to 2 business days to get this resolved. On Dec. 22, I received a phone call from Mackenzie telling me that Mackenzie had entered the wrong gift card number and everything should now be OK. This was obviously a problem on Mackenzie's part. I received no apology. This is not the type of service that I would expect from Mackenzie. It took 4 business days to "resolve" a problem that was caused by Mackenzie.”
“Horrible the turkey was the wrong one delivered asked for a refund twice & did not get one is stead was offered a discount on my next order as if I would ever order from here again. Never!”
“If I could give you less than one star for customer service I would. The worst company to work with and you do not care about customer satisfaction even when the mistake is yours...it never got corrected and then I was ignored when I tried to explain the situation. You post bait and switch items and say it is because you are not allowed to post true pictures of the items because it is regulated by a department of the government.”
“The cake we ordered was dry, overly sweet, and tasted frostbitten. Shipping was fast and ordering was easy, but would not order again due to how disappointing the cake was.”
“I ordered two red velvet cake rolls. But I received two lemon cake rolls. The customer service person was very nice & helpful - he credited my credit card for the full amount since I did not receive what I ordered.”
“They have enough business to care about current customer's concerns. Called in a concern and was met with,"We don't have any record of your phone call."”
“Not the greatest. My order was delivered at the incorrect address which was food, and no one called me from this company to admit the mistake.
I was wondering where my order was (a birthday gift) and I had to track down my order to see the progress.
I am still waiting for my refund.”
“I order here every year for the holidays - second year in a row that my order arrived BEFORE the ship date I chose...while there was NO ROOM in my freezers - the ship date ABSOLUTELY matters - very disappointed AND very doubtful I will order here again for the holidays.”
“Mackenzie doe not stand behind their product. Ordered a gift meal for two. Pie was crushed and stale. Meat prepared per instructions was dried out and unable to be eaten. Sides tasted off. Reported issues to them and was offered 20% off next purchase. Why would I order again after this bad experience? Asked for 50% refund but they refused. They should have offered to replace the meal or refunded the cost. This is not how you take care of your customers. I Was actually planning to try their food since it looked so good on the site. Sorry Mackenzie, you failed and lost what would have been a good, loyal customer.”
“I sent a $200 gift card to my sister’s family. The card was invalid. After much difficult attempts at communicating with “customer service”, they sent her a replacement gift card. This one was also invalid. I’m requesting a refund. Shady business”
“Two of the baking containers were cracked which I did not notice until the products were not properly heated and the contents had spilled out onto the baking sheets. Not the first time I have had this happen. Will not order again. I recommend you improve on the containers and pack for shipping more securely. A waste of money and quite a disappointment.”
“i purchased the crown roast of pork, which I have nothing bad to say. Cooked like a dream and delicious.
However; the strawberry, apple and rhubarb pie, had, obviously melted before shipping. I immediately placed it in my freezer and pulled it out to cook on Christmas day. The filling had run all over the sides and the tin pan was seriously stuck to the paper that was supposed to encase the pie while cooking. It was a colossal mess. I had to throw it away because I had no idea if it was even safe to eat.”
