“The process was very easy and the price very reasonable. However it was necessary for me to have a monthly direct debit rather than six monthly or annual.
I double checked my order, and asked my husband to check and it seemed that monthly was what we had ordered.
Yesterday I received confirmation from the magazine itself and the direct debit is annual. When I phoned them the best they could offer was six monthly so I had to cancel the subscription.
I realise this could be seen as a small issue but it was important to me, so this has proved to be frustrating and very disappointing.”
“This is the first time I have taken out a subscription via the internet -so far so good. As this is a gift subscription I shall not be renewing it after 6 issues.”
“Very helpful staff. Subscription bought for a present so arranging to send first issue (before Christmas) to me and thereafter to person I bought the gift for.
Emails replied to and within a reasonable time, which isn't always the case on some websites.”
“I am extremely sorry to be so negative but so far my magazine subscription hasn't arrived. This is much to the disappointment of my husband, whose birthday present it was.”
“I ordered the subscription for a xmas present and ticked the box when selecting the magazine, this did not then show on the invoice so I am concerned the magazine will be sent to recipient prior to xmas. I tried to call on 3 occasions and waited for over 10 minutes each time before hanging up feeling frustrated. I have also emailed twice and received no response.
Website to purchase subscription fine after care very poor.”
“I did not realise until I had put in all details for paying for something intended to be a child's present that I would be told at that stage, and not before, that delivery would be 4-6 weeks. Not much of a birthday present!”
“Site gave a good overview of magazines but it would be nice to be able to 'flick through' a magazine to confirm what I will subscribe to. It will probably help in decision making, especially for people (like me) who just happened to come across the magazine and subcribe to it.”
