“The concept is amazing. Unfortunately my second machine still doesn’t lock. My mother can get pills from another hole. The lids don’t lock down. The light shows her where to open, but she can open up other cups anytime.”

“During our first week we experienced several problems. Fortunately customer service is helpful and responsive. And it helped that I am somewhat technically experienced. If my mom had to try to troubleshoot the problems with the box, forget it! One of the main reasons I went with this pillbox and this company is because it also offered the med alert wristband. However, my 95 year old mom has a difficult time pressing the button on the wristband hard enough to make it work. After working with someone over the phone, she said she would send the pendant for her (which I thought was supposed to come along WITH the wristband but didn't) and over a week later we still have not received the pendant. So I'll have to call to follow up on that. On the upside, while working to resolve the pillbox issues, the agent I spoke to (Charlie?) we extremely helpful and pleasant to work with.”

“Great idea! However, there are some pitfalls - at least with the multi-week med-minder dispenser. The machine seems to get "confused" and will suddenly switch which week the pills are to dispense from! But, the customer service department has your back on all things concerning the machine. The best thing about the Med-Minder is lack of worry about missed doses or taking too many doses by a patient with short-term memory loss.”

“My mom has been using MedMinder in her assisted living apartment for about 5 years. This device has save my family thousands of dollars in assisted living cost for medication distribution with the added plus that she is not hunted down to have medication distributed. During covid I fill MedMinder box once a week. I get a notification on my phone and my husband gets notified on his computer when medication hasn't been taken out of the box. I can then call mom and gently reminder her to take her medication. We have been very happy with the service too! I do recommend to my personal friends with aging parents.”

“New unit has voice notification indicated “cellular signal is good” or the like. Intrusive!!! Wakes the 90+ user. Calls to have that turned off have been to no avail. The old unit functions were better but power cord was the weakness on it.”
