“Good delivery speed compared to other companies. Overall cost us slightly more than on amazon etc, but if you want it quickly then this is for you. Would have given it 5 stars but there was a slight raised, sharp bit on the door itself, but this sanded down easily, and we're painting it anyway. No issues at all with ordering or delivery. Would recommend this company and buy from them again if I needed to.”

“Service was great and quick delivery, double skin box for flush and surface mounting. This gave me a chance to fit stuffer glands to the box as it was getting mounted in a sheep shed for the protection of distribution board! Slight cracks to the corners of the box but not worth shouting about.”

“Item was just what I needed. Well packed. Easy to install. Only problem came with the delivery. DHL were less than efficient.Actually came to the house but failed to leave the item,as instructed,in a safe place. It then required them to schedule another delivery! An email informed me of a proposed delivery but this was cancelled last minute. I then had to wait until after the weekend for another delivery slot. Very pleased with the item though.”

“Was speaking to a local gas engineer who came out to replace a smart meter who had issues finding replacement gas boxes to go out. Doing a search online and found a replacement straight away from mbd and a couple of days later a new box arrives. A great speedy service. One thing I would of suggested is the coating for the box should have weather sealing grommets in the pins but it does the job.”

“It would be better on your door kits to say whether they're for the large ∆ key or the small one. I bought the large instead of the small and it required quite a bit of fitting. Is there an easy way to remove the small one?”

“I ordered a gas meter box and assumed that the fixing plugs would come with it. So a second order was made for the plugs. Unfortunately, the wrong item was sent. I phoned your support line (Jemma) and the correct items were promptly in the post. Thanks. The website was not clear. If plugs were necessary, but not supplied, I would expect a link from the page from which I ordered the meter box itself. I found them through the FAQ pages, or later in the additional odds and sods pages.”

“The quality of the meter box is excellent. This is the 3rd box of different models for different properties that I have bought from MeterBoxes Direct and all have been of great quality. The sales team despatch the item quickly, and delivery was great. Unfortunately on this occasion, I needed to contact the company for help which proved impossible. The on line chat was not answered, 4 phone calls resulted in the line being hung up after an extension had been selected and an email to customer support was ignored.”

“I ordered two replacement latches, and only one arrived. I queried this and a second one was sent, so obviously an oversight in packing. The video was quite helpful - but would be even more useful if the door in the demo was on a cabinet (i.e. vertical - no table to push against!). Also, "suitable for the majority of gas and electric meter box doors" could usefully be expanded to say "with some door designs the guide tab on the latch may need to be made smaller, or removed altogether". It would also be useful to be told the "through the door" length, because if the door design uses a slightly longer dimension, this latch will not lock in place.”
