“Disgusting customer service ⚠️
Waiting 2 years for a new vehicle and being charged for a five year old car that’s not fit for purpose.
Rude unhelpful staff only concerned with profit instead of providing the service they are supposed to for disabled children.
Customer service Manager Alexandra Castle is not interested in finding a resolution. Worst management I’ve ever experienced.
Motabilty now reported to Financial Ombudsman and Trading Standards.”
“Full of lies and false promises. Five and a half months they’ve had my car in for repairs and nothing has been done. Complain every week and just more deceit and lies.
Never again”
“When Lord Sterling and Lord Goodman set this scheme up as a charity it was fit for purpose. Now it has turned into another greedy company governed by the FCA because the Charities Commission 😂😂😂 now say it's not a charity - sorry Sterling and Goodman but your legacy is worth nothing. Even though they have made a massive profit, Motability actually charge people for changing their vehicles when their disability worsens, as if these poor souls don't have enough to deal with. Motability also do not allocate a grant to those that need a certain sized car unless they answer ridiculous and personal questions that Motability are allowed to ask!!! I would understand if this was a company that wasn't based on a charity and was supposef to give their all to their customers but this is not the case. I've seen the millions in profits this company has made recently!!!”

“wont let u insure own car not even option to pay extra makes no sense have to insure inexperienced driver to drive me around causing more mental illness and stress”
“I find it wrong how thay treat people there people out there that got more then 3 points for speeding that get the motability car but someone that only have a lc20 with just 3 points get turned down and speeding is worse then lc20 thay have caused my partner distressed with her disability thay are bang out of order”
“Keep clear of Motability and Motability Cars, the Police seized my car on lies, they had my car taken away by a car recovery company, then Motability told me I cannot have my car back, they removed it from the Recovery Garages Premises, they advised me I was not getting my car back, I have no criminal record, had not committed an offence, but Motability said because I had my car cased it was a breach of my contract, even if I had not committed an offence and my car was ceased maliciously and I was cleared of any offence, I would not get my car back. I contacted RSA Motability Insurance company that insured the car to make a claim for the items I had in the car, over £700.00 of my items, they said I was not covered for my contents, Motability does not cover the driver or anything they have in the car, they only cover the car, The Disabled person is irrelevant, the car is important, they are still taking my Mobility money from the DWP, and I have no car, MOBILITY ARE THE CREAM OF CROOKS THAT TAKE YOUR MONEY BUT HAVE NO INTEREST IN YOU AS A PERSON.
THESE ARE GANGSTERS.”
“I've been with notability for several years & had no problems ,but I am increasingly concerned about poor choice of estate cars on the scheme, slot of vehicles are small poky cars with not enough space for wheelchairs notability scooter that disabled person needs to travel with.
The choice of estate cars have decreased, we are even considering leading a car pay insurance tyres etc ,rather than be restricted by notability should very poor choice, the pandemic has limited mileage on returned cars makeing them more saleable for notability yet GCB bonus is messily £600,
It's an option worth looking into .”
“BEWARE!! This is a greedy coporate entity passing itself off as a charity.
Even a minor breach if contract will result in cacelling your contract; and take back the vehiclel;,sell it and keep any deposit all the while keeping all your remaining payments as well. They unscrupulous charlatans that think nothing of depriving a person of their car and allowance . They stole approximately 25k from me and left me without a car for the remainder of the contract. Which was approx 2.9 yrs - a crooked company run and controlled by a spurious coporate insurance company : Royal sun alliance .”
“DISSAPOINTED to say the least. Quoted one price for the advance payment when met with their motability expert 3 days later it went up £700. No sympathy no explanation LIKE it or LUMP it attitude from staff. Not impressed at all.”
“Motability scheme is good overall but totally let down by the service provided by the RAC who are contracted for roadside assistance. Rude staff who fob you off and fail to keep appts. Poor service provided.”
“Motability are great and is a great…
Motability are great and is a great opportunity for some of us to have a car without the aggro of owning your own car. Expensive at £3000pa but still. However greatly let down by the most awful dealerships at Nissan originally, and toyota secondly, who really couldnt give a stuff. I finally had to give the car back after 2 years as the service was so poor and stressfull dealing with the chumps. Motability were exemplary in their support at all times and gave me a partial refund on my advance payment and also a good condition bonus even though i was returning car early. Well done guys and thank you. Shame we have to use the dozy dealers if we're limited for choice locally and it shows.”
“Arranged with Arnold clark's Pollokshaws Road, glasgow, on the tenth of January, for our car to go in for a replacement indicator stalk on 22jan,as the part had to be ordered from Germany, and at that time, a courtesy car was booked. Was to attend between9-10am.at 9.15am rec'd a call from Carol-Ann at Arnold clark's to tell me therewas no courtesy car available. Asked her, as it was a relatively small repair, could it be done whilst I waited. She advised, she'd check the parts department to make sure the part was in, and came back to tell me, the part wasn't in yet. Most annoyed, as the courtesy car and repair had been arranged. Asked who the director, and or the service manager was to e mail them of my dissatisfaction, and she told me she wasn't allowed to divulge this. I then phoned motability operations in Bristol, and spoke with Laura, who phoned Arnold clark's on my behalf. Laura came back to inform me she spoke with a sales manager, who apologised, and said he was going to have a meeting with staff, to ensure good customer service. Found Laura to be patronising, and of no help, as she asked numerous times what I wanted. I informed her I felt unhappy with Arnold clark leaving me in the lurch, at the last minute, and only got from Laura was "oh bless" and two other dealerships, one in Kilmarnock, the other in motherwell, Miles away from me in glasgow. I am a full time carer for my wife, and can't leave her for too long. Getting nowhere with Laura, had to tell her, she should not have been speaking with the sales manager at Arnold clark, but the service manager, and asked Laura to get me someone else to speak with preferably a manager, as I was at the end of my tether, and getting nowhere. All I was looking for was a repair, and a courtesy car if it our car repair would take all day. Meantime, two hours later, no word from mobility, and left with a car we can only use minimally, and my disabled wheelchair wife is left in the lurch. Very poor service, and expected more from motability. Half expect poor service from a big corporation who appear to treat customers with contempt, but seriously let down by motability!”
