I have contacted mrp helpline for 5 days already and they just keep saying they escalated the query. For someone that works in customer service, their agents are poorly trained and at this point I feel like they are lying to me. “The items which were delivered to me were not the same with what was advertised on website. They were not only made of wood as was advertised but of ceramic and also broken in half. I wanted to return them via currier and contacted Mr.Pr several times on website and WhatSapp. Received only generic answer on Whatsapp and nothing from Mr.Pr.
They return service looks very cheesy and smells BAD.

“I wish I had looked here first!! They should have a Minus star. In Dec 2021 I purchased a gift voucher for R1,000.00 for a friend, unfortunately the friend only has a cell phone and no computer. When she went to the store she was told she couldn't use it in store only online???? She tried again a few weeks later and was told this again, while she was in the store she phoned me and I spoke to the shop person, who also told me it could only be used online as I purchased it online. I ended up giving her the money for the voucher and have since been trying to use it online. What a joke!! This must be the worst online sales program I have ever had the misfortune to use. I have also phoned 5 different people and have been told 5 different reasons why it isn't working and that it would work now, no such luck, one of which was because I was using a computer in Australia, that I needed to use a PC in South Africa. I got my brother who lives in South Africa to login to my account and try and pay for it with the gift voucher - same thing happened. I have emailed the head office and any email address I can find and no-one has the decency to reply. If no-one can help me pay for this order I want a refund of my money as soon as possible.”

items go out of stock just as you check out having to go back and take unreasonable amount of time trying to get items removed just to go back in again and have some other items out of stock.
discount vouchers apply until you pay then the voucher gets reversed.

“Extremely disappointed in the new MrP online website. Definitely no upgrade a def downgrade. One second there is certain products the next its not there. search engine throws out one thing when you look for it under category nothing is there. or there is no product under the category but under whats new there it is.”
“I have ordered something online and i called to find out how far is my order they said they handed it to the courier which is pargo. When I called pargo to find out how far it is they said they have not received it and it has passed it's delivery date now I don't know who's playing me and I need to leave tonight coming back next year. Now I want my money back an told it's not possible.”
“In July, R900 was debited from my bank account twice, and I reversed one payment a few days later. In my October statement, MRP claimed that they never received the other payment. I've sent them proof of both and my bank statement. I even went to my bank to get a confirmation letter that one of the payments settled into MRP's account in July.
Their "superhero agents" refuse to assist or investigate where the money is. Now I lost R900, and they want me to pay the same amount again when their system took the payment. On the 5th of November, I saw someone writing a review that they had the same experience in May, and in October, MRP wanted to notify them that one payment was missing.
I'm closing my MRP account immediately and wouldn't recommend anyone to open an MRP account. THEY ROB PEOPLE OF THEIR HARD-EARNED MONEY AND REFUSE TO NOTICE THEIR MISTAKES!”

“So i ordered like last week and they said the delivery will be on Friday Wednesday I get a message it's out for delivery. Friday still no delivery. The delivery date is on Friday so I whatsapp them to find out where my delivery is they say itsbout for delivery(without my status being updated). This morning still no delivery. I hopped back on whatsapp this person repeats the same things "they only deliver on weekdays" I'm like okay but WHAT is the delay se says ahe doesn't know and can't follow up during the weekends. “I am from South Africa and wanted to shop online for my grandkids pike l do with other online South African shops. I went to their website and bagged clothes for R150. I then went to check out and it had emptied my bag and a message popped up to say happy shopping. To say l was disappointed is an understatement. I had taken my time browsing and then they pull that trick on me. My grandkids love Mr Price and was going to surprise them with a special delivery. “I had ordered from the online services, Made my first return at the store(Gateway), there were 4 items under that order, So I returned 2 out of 4 due to sizing issues. Then out of the 2 items I had kept I decided to make a return of the t-shirt cause it did not fit right. Again I made my way to the store to make a return, First person was not able to assist me since they could not find my online slip that they have kept(don't know for what reason), Was told to wait while someone else had to go look for it in some storage room. I could not wait any longer cause I was rushing for work. Went back the second time and there was an issue because I did not have my bank card. Went back for the 3rd time and still there was an issue, was told that the supervisor who was helping me the previous day was off and they could not reach out to her. Finally got my money back though. The service was horrible though, Had to wait for more than 30 minutes just to receive my credit back for a return.”
“I was at Mr Price Tygervalley yesterday. We waited in the queue for almost ten minutes. Behind us were a
twelve people. Only one person was working at the cash register, but there were no less than seven employees standing behind the counter. When I asked the manager (I believe his name is Derrick) what was going on he very rudely starting talking at me making nonsense excuses. This is the second time this has happened at the same branch. I am highly disappointed, as I am a big supporter of Mr Price. The behavior of the manager was highly unprofessional and extremely rude. There were people behind us who actually put down the clothes they wanted to purchase and left. I can't even give a one star rating. Zero stars. Mr Price Tygervalley gets zero stars. Customer service is everything. I am posting this review on as many platforms as I can.”
