“Great solution as to what to cook each night for dinner. My only feedback is that sometimes the vegetables are not entirely fresh, particularly the carrots and tomatoes.”

“abii to substitute or not gett certin ingrediants would be good. Ihate bok choy so avoid al recipes with it,no matter how yummyt they look”

“We first started geting My Food Bag when my mum was about to get major surgery, to make it easier for me to cook for our family. It has nearly been a year of ordering it weekly now and we love it. There are plenty of options and all the meals taste very good. We are so far haven't came across a meal that we havn't like which is supprising as the two youngest kids are semi picky eaters. I would defenitly recomend My Food Bag to other people, it makes the weekly shopping so much easier as you don't have to buy every ingredient or come up with diffrent meals for each day.”

“My food bag takes away all the boring parts of dinner: the planning, deciding and buying. It’s fun to have a little surprise in what to cook , and it also makes it a lot easier to get our teenagers into the kitchen taking turns to cook for the whole family. Lots of wins and best of all it’s healthy. We have also started a treat of a sourdough loaf with dinner on Sundays when our box arrives. Thanks for taking the hassle out of dinner”

“Bargain box is okay. My children find that there is a lot of coleslaw and salads and usually these are dressed in a vinegar/oil dressing which they are very much over after a few months of bargain box. We adjust recipes a lot to make sure my kids enjoy it, they usually celebrate the weeks we don't buy it. There can also sometimes be "staple" items that I don't have or is uses a lot of. An example I can think of is 1/4C mayonaise or eggs. I don't usually have eggs in my home so need to get more of these. For the price we pay I do feel like sometimes we also contribute a lot of 'staples'. Finally, the chicken always has A LOT of liquid in the packages, something I don't find when I buy meat at other places. Overall bargain box is a means to an end for our busy household. It isn't something I recommend to others unless they are extremely time poor like we are. I also think bargain probably needs to be taken out of the name. Possibly recycled recipe, everything tastes very similar box. Sorry for the negative review, if I had more time I would meal plan and buy for myself. I do like that I can get it delievered to my home and have all my meals for Sun-Thurs without much thinking.”

“Vegetables quality and packing of ingredients stops me from making this a 5 star rating. Recipes are great but items don't arrive in best condition....lettuce packed next to ice packs, carrots last less than two days before soft.”

“We've received the Bargain Box for about a year now. We decided to try it after my partner became injured, and choosing, shopping for and preparing our dishes became a miserable chore! Not so with the Bargain Box – we look forward to picking and then preparing the meals every week. The quality and range of healthy choices are great (even with this cheaper option), and I appreciate their efforts to reduce plastic waste, such as cardboard boxes and wool packaging. Allegen are listed clearly, which is very helpful too.”
