This is the most unreliable courier I have ever seen. Collection slot given between 8 am and 8pm yesterday. Today I am still waiting and the driver didn't come. I tried calling and emailing the office but no answer. Despite getting bad review from my customer for the delay, they still took my money £16.82 and didn't provide the service and is beyond expectation on the bad side. I will be contacting my bank to get my money back. Avoiding this company going forward as they are totally unprofessional and the service is messed up. I start to worry about my item getting damaged considering the low profecieny.

I've experienced a miracle! After weeks of having parcels delayed (COVID taken into account) and disappearing I've had a parcel that was collected from an eBay seller on a Saturday delivered the following Monday. The parcel was collected at midday on 19 December, processed at the national hub the same day and delivered to me at midday on 21 December. If only the Hermes experience was always stress free like this.

Of 20 items sent in a month two are “lost in transit” ie stolen! What sort of people are this company employing? No one answers the phone and automated system useless! Why isn’t trading standards investigating this wide scale fraud on people trying to send gifts or items in course of a business? There’s a pandemic going on yet this organisation finds it acceptable to keep taking parcels for a significant number to be “lost in transit?” I’m appalled and something really should be done.

Parcel costing £50 to send was returned 2 weeks later to me. No explanation, no apology, no refund of the £50. Zero stars. This company are useless at best, fraudulent at worst.

Hopeless, make little to no effort to deliver. Why companies still use Hermes as a courier is a mystery to me.

someone in the Hermes depot has my parcel! My parcel was scanned into the Plymouth depot at 6am on Saturday 19 December and has disappeared since then. It should have gone from there to the courier - maybe it did? - but Hermes staff are failing to either look for it or respond to any calls at all. Apparently there is a person or robot at Plymouth depot called 'Charley' who will look into the issue......but nothing has happened. This is a largish parcel with christmas gifts for my grandchildren - why isnt Hermes directors managers and supervisors doing something about the obvious security problems within its business? Why hasnt Hermes got a contact centre so people can speak to a person about the missing or damaged parcel? Why is it that Hermes only respond to a newspaper reporter? If that is the only way I will get a response from Hermes then I will call the newspapers!!!!!! I have heard about the goings on in the Plymouth depot and wish I had heard this before sending my parcel through Hermes. Where are the managers and supervisors at the Plymouth depot and if there are any why are they allowing this behaviour to happen? These are other people's property which they have paid Hermes to care for and deliver! as for customer service - it is non existent!!! If you try phoning you are on hold for 30 minutes and then Hermes disconnect the call. This has happened 10 times! So pointless trying to call them as they dont have a contact centre.

I can start by saying that both the package delivered by Hermes from Johnlewis.com in less than a month was stolen by the Hermes deliverers. This happened in BELFAST. First (29-Nov-2020)- tracking number: 7918696525416267, I RECEIVED the package OPENED-literally. What kind of a courier delivery company delivers the opened packages ? It was a purchase from Johnlweis.com with 2 products inside, they stole one and left the opened(with another product) parcel inside my letterbox. Second incident (21-Dec-2020)- tracking number: 7918696525480169, johnlewis assisted with exchange order for the same stolen product and this time it never reached me(coz, may be this time it's just one product). I was waiting all day to receive my parcel instead, I received an email stating that the delivery completed successfully. The successful notification email which has the picture of delivered status,"Here's where we left it" shows a hand inside a letterbox-no package was seen at all. Highlight of the fact is that my DOOR COLOUR IS GREY and the PICTURE SHOWN in email has the DOOR IN RED. I was like wtf..? When this happens for the second time, I can say, they did it deliberately and proves that they are a complete fraud. If you are expecting delivery from Hermes in Belfast, do not.

Pretty much anything you could think to send is in the prohibited list so if they break it no matter how good you pack it you won't get compensation. Absolutely useless no wonder amazon have cancelled their contract with them. Probably get there in better shape if I kicked it down the other end of the county.

My parcel was well wrapped with fragile stickers stuck to it. However when the courier delivered it to the company it was damaged so therefore they will not refund my money.I have tried phoning but nobody answers I have emailed again no response. Terrible customer service. I will never use them again. Jan Harvey

Hermes ALWAYS will try to blame the company they are delivering for or customer they are delivering to if something goes wrong They NEVER take responsibility for their drivers actions or delivering packages to an incorrect address. Avoid at all costs!

I would never use Hermes myself but some items I order come with Hermes. 3 times my parcels have been delivered to the wrong house. Other times it's been left in my bin which I haven't noticed in there for days .

Personally If I was able to I wouldn't leave a single star. I have had parcels delivered by Hermes which have been left at addresses half way down my road without my neighbours knowing, people were at my home and told me no one had knocked at the door or ever attempted to deliver it in person. My partner has also recently ordered a parcel from another company and Hermes being the couriers left the parcel in our recycling bin without notice of which our parcel has been thrown out by the local rubbish collection. Do not use this company. Rearrange and use DPD, DHL, PARCELFORCE or the ROYAL MAIL.

Sent 10 parcels, one had contents missing, most likely stolen by a guy named Gary and his Stanley knife, one went missing (still waiting to hear back) and one was left overnight (despite being a “signed for”) at the customers gate and got water damaged as well as being physically damaged due to poor handling. If you’re happy with 70% success rate then use them but in future I’ll be using the Royal Mail who’ve never lost or damaged any of my customers items. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.
