“This is my second time going through NACA. I went through the program back in 2018 with my ex-husband but we went the conventional, no fault of NACA. I started the process again in May of 2024. Since I knew what was required I got all my documents uploaded and got a scheduled appointment with the same counselor I had previously. My appointment was scheduled for 7/18. Not only did my counselor move my appointment up but I was qualified the same day. I am attending the purchase workshop tomorrow and looking forward to my home search. “I have just started the NACA process and let me tell you it is THOROUGH! They do all that they can to make sure that you are set up not only to purchase the home, but to be as financially stable and skilled in being able to handle the big financial responsibilities that come with owning a home. It is tedious, it can be slow and they ask a lot of you, but the process is slow in the beginning to ensure you can have your home for a good long time. So stick with it. I am in my qualification stage and its also been just a healthy practice for me to be looking at all my expenses and expenditure and make plans for how I am going to sustain myself in this home, and to also get training around how to multi property home that will have people renting in it!”
