“Very bad customer service, been waiting 2 weeks for my acne medication. My orders that customer service wanted me to pay for was not what my prescription was for. Customer service just wanted to charge my anyways, only after 2 weeks of asking questions did I hear from a real doctor. Feel like I'm just a number to them at this point.”
“DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!! Because of Nurx and their incompetence I’m without my birth control. I started using this service during Covid because I didn’t have another option and my deliveries were often delayed. It got so bad I asked them to just send to my pharmacy. Now I went to pick up at the pharmacy and they said ‘the doctor is unresponsive so we can’t give you the scheduled refill’. I’ve paid the $45 annual fee and done everything correct. Can’t get anyone on the phone or a message back. Now I don’t have birth control. Absolute thieves.”
“Charged $25 to my card with no invoice or receipt. Repeatedly lost my insurance card and required multiple photo uploads of sensitive personal information. Confusing interface even for somebody accustomed to navigating online menu options. Emailed me with a greeting for the WRONG patient name!!! Unethical and dangerous.”
“Pros: Easier than finding an in-person provider, potentially cheaper. Generally convienient.
Cons: On two occassions they haven't sent my meds and I've needed to reach out to ask why (they needed additional insurance info from me) instead of them reaching out to me to tell me what's going on/what they need. They take a long time to get back to messages, and sometimes I've had to message them twice to get a response. Their STI/STD screenings are more expensive than in person and take much longer to get results.”
“The worst service we ever had. My wife ordered a set of birth control bills. They charged $25 for what they call online consultation, which is nothing other than you answering a set of questions. Then they launched the process of the order. After a week without a response or any hearing from them. They apologized and re-initiated they process. The story got repeated three time over three weeks and at the end nothing is delivered. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone even if you desperate for help. Because you wont get anything other than accumulating charges on your credit card.”
“absolutely awful customer service. takes them days to respond about urgent medication updates. 3 out of 3 times they delayed prescription and sent to incorrect address. AVOID AVOID AVOID”
“Charged $40 for a consultation. Fine . It takes 1-2 business days to get a response through the chat on their app and don’t even bother calling you won’t get an answer . I tried to get an acne prescription through this company since I’ve seen it all over social media but so far this has been terrible . I got charged $40 for my consult , went back and forth with someone about extra info, provided everything needed and then over a week later my prescription that was finally being filled says canceled . It doesn’t say why. No one reached out to me. I have no emails or messages . It just says canceled . So I paid $40. Wasted a week . Got a prescription then had it canceled without any info or explanation. And then cannot get ahold of anyone to ask why .”
“In October 2022 I decided to give Nurx a try. It was a one time fee for their service. They didn't accept my insurance and the service they provided didn't line up to what was being advertised. I disputed the charge with my bank since Nurx refused to refund. I requested Nurx remove my card from file. Fast forward to today I get a text notification about them charging a $3 service fee. I did NOT authorize or agree to this fee. So I contacted my bank to dispute the charge. Come to find out they charged this "service fee" two other times. I haven't been using them nor did I agree to these charges. I went to check my account and in the setting it says I have no active card on file, yet if I click the prescription, it shows my card. There isn't even a way to cancel the prescription that was supposed to had been canceled after the issues last year. When I originally sign up, it was a one time fee. That was supposed to be it. This company has been a nightmare! My bank is now canceling that account and sending me a new card along with filing fraud charges against this company. If you were considering using them for 'convenience' as I thought I was; don't. I want Nurx to cancel the pending $3 charge. If not, I'll file another fraud charge once it is processed. Additionally, I want my information 100% removed from their website. I do not wish to do business with such a fraudulent company! Oh, and trying to talk to the company is a waste of time and gets you no where. Others have had similar issues to me - check the BBB and trust pilot!”
“I thought this process would be quicker, however that is NOT my issue. I was asked to pay $20.00 which I thought was for my copayment. So I never spoke with anyone nor did I get the meds. So I asked for a refund. I was told that the money was for a consult and that it is non refundable. Okay because I didn't know this I asked to see this in writing. However no one has been able to provide me with this information. But they keep telling me it's good for a year etc..... When places pull things like this I loss trust”
“As with other people I had no problem up until around a month ago when they just stopped processing my prescription. It was under review for over a month and I was assured and assured it would be taken care of and they were sorry for the delay. After a month, it was canceled! Are you serious? I reached out and put in a new request because at this point I’m almost out and they say they’ll send it to my local pharmacy (a HUGE nuisance, but whatever). I call my pharmacy about 24hr later to confirm, they have no record of them sending in the refill! I’m furious! I think I’ll have to call a doctor to get a new refill and ensure it’s there in the next 3 days because otherwise I will be totally out of contraceptives. Nurx is putting women’s health at risk by being so disorganized.”
“I've used them for over 2 year's no issues 2023 big issues. My pills are late I've been charged to my credit card 45 dollars. Every go to Goodrx they do the same no doctor visit and you can get them way cheaper and pick them up.”
“STAY FAR AWAY FROM NURX. Was receiving birth control every 3 months by mail. On the 5th order, it became a disaster. Received a message on 1/8/23 informing my prescription was being processed & would ship in a few days. 10 days go by, no prescription mailed. On 1/18/23, I received a message informing account was up for renewal & I needed to update my account w/any changes to my health, insurance, payment, or personal info. My prescription that was in processing on 1/8/23, now showed as “under review by our care team”. I immediately responded, informing no changes had been made to any of my info. Days go by w/no response & no movement on my prescription. Made several attempts to contact this company, by app, phone, Facebook post, & Facebook messenger. On 1/26/23, Nurx contacted me through app to tell me the prescription was ready & asked if I wanted it to be shipped or sent to my local pharmacy. I reply immediately w/name, phone number, & address of my local pharmacy. Nurx responds a day later to confirm my prescription has been sent to my local pharmacy. I call the pharmacy & they inform the med is out of stock & would have to be ordered. On 1/29/23 I go to pharmacy to pickup & they inform I have to pay out of pocket because Nurx sent a duplicate prescription through their digital pharmacy Propel, has mailed it & has already billed my insurance. The request for a renewal and updated information should be dealt with MUCH sooner if this is the kind of delay that happens. It’s no wonder this company cannot dispense life saving meds. This company has grown bigger than what they can handle, do not respond promptly, & do not communicate effectively between one another, in turn providing horrible customer service & care. People should have a way to easily contact a live human being during business hours to handle such matters and/or get a response on the app within hours, not days. As a “medical company” this is simply unacceptable. I have deactivated my account.”
“First year was perfect auto refills came on time 3 month supply at a time. Then the year make hits. I fill out their forms, message them 1 month prior to the year mark so I wouldn’t run out. Was told in a message “you will be contacted to get new year prescription”. Yeah did everything….. 3 months I have gotten 2 single months worth of birth control. Call the pharmacy they send it from across my state they have no record of why Nurx is only sending in single refills at a time. I ask nurx. They tell me it’s my insurance. My insurance has not changed. They even say no we allow 3 month prescriptions of BC that’s what you had been getting for the last year. So I’m still fighting trying to get my prescription sent to my local CVS. They have 1 more week. And if they send me one more message of “sorry for the delay we are busy blah blah” excuses of why they suck I plan to cancel the account and have my doctor send it in for me.”
“The first month was fine, a bit pricey since I have insurance but worth it with the convenience. Then the second month comes around, they raise my price $180 and asks if it”ok” I had 0 insurance changes. When I said no, they canceled my account, my history, and gave me no reply. Mind you then never mentioned anything about a cancellation. This is a life saving daily medication and to simply cancel it a when I have a couple pills left is not only unethical, it’s possibly malpractice.”
“Extremely convenient for a busy and anxiety filled lifestyle. Shipping and medication was free with health insurance. They always make sure I receive my birth control before i finish my pack. Nurx rocks!”
