“Placed order 7th may on 14 to 21 days delivery. Message yesterday to say item is 7 to 8vweeksbdelivery as per the order.
Checked order definitely 14 to 21 days, check website 14 to 21 days. Called customer service told i had the wrong order number hence the massage about the 7 to 8 weeks delivery. Asked to cancel and get refund. All of a sudden the order will be with courier today I am told.
Message from delivery agent to say my order can be delivered in next 2 days. Great then checked what was being delivered, not my order but someone else's order. Contacted customer services( unlike others, got through hardly any wait time) they will look into it and get back to me. I wont hold my breath for an early response. Should have read these comments and ordered elsewhere!”

Ordered outdoor furniture on 13th March ..it stated 6/8 week delivery after numerous email delay after delay with current estimate 26th June ...take your money then can’t deliver goods .

“I ordered the furniture in good faith, 2 flat pack wardrobes with drawers and one large chest of drawers.
The 2 wardrobes + drawers arrived, NO SIGN of the chest of drawers. They had my order and my money and a week later I can get no coherent response from Customer Relations who have had all the details of the furniture which arrived. How hard can it be ? Why don't they answer their phones ? Worst service I have ever had. WHERE IS MY CHEST OF DRAWERS AND WHY DOES NOONE SORT IT OUT.”
“I moved house recently and had to buy a lot of new furniture. Usually I check the companies I order from, but with everything else didn't get round to it. So when I saw all these negative scores I was quite worried. I turned out I needn't have worried at all. I think I must have been quite lucky as my order turned up next day, though it wasn't scheduled for another 10 days. The two wardrobes and chest of draws were all good for the price paid. They were sold as 'half price', but I'm not sure they were worth double. So many websites have these semi-permeant 'sales' though, there's no reason to take any stars off.”
“Was so excited when I placed my order for a Devonshire Sideboard and couldn't wait for it to be delivered. How wrong could I have been! Delivery drivers not even wearing masks and told my husband that the item would have to be left outside the house due to COVID. Incorrect item delivered so my husband told them not to bother offloading it so they took it back. Then....numerous emails to and from Customer Services...best part was when the courier company rang to say that they would collect the sideboard from my home and replace with...nothing! OMG! Apologies from Customer Services as wires crossed! Advised new delivery date of 15-19 April.....yes! No! dates came and went..advised item not ready to be shipped. I said I would cancel the order....then miraculously order ready! By then I`d had enough and cancelled the order completely. What a headache! Very stressful..Customer Service a joke! AVOID! Ended up buying flat pack but well worth it.”
“Furniture is fantastic but the delivery was shocking - rude, unprofessional staff. I would NEVER use this company again to deliver anything (ArrowXL). One of the delivery men was very threatening and abusive on the phone and kept calling me every few minutes demanding to know where I was! They are supposed to call you 30 mins before delivery but he left me a voicemail saying he was 10-15 mins away and when I phoned him he said if I wasn’t there in 5 mins he would leave and then he hung up on me. Just diabolical.”
“APPALLING customer service. DO NOT ORDER from them. There are better companies with better quality products.
I ordered a oak wardrobe and paid £469. There was a delay in notifying me about delivery. I rang them and we confirmed a delivery date. They pointed out it may be a doorstep delivery. I said this was not suitable as I live alone and cannot move an oak wardrobe on my own to upstairs.
I was told to speak to the driver and sort it out with him. The delivery email stated it MAY be a doorstep delivery. When they arrived today the delivery man refused to come in saying they were not allowed.
It turns out all deliveries are doorstep. This should be made implicitly clear to all customers as I am sure there are many people like me.
I had to open up the parcel and struggle upstairs piece by piece and some of it was so heavy it made me feel quite ill.
Having now seen the items I am disappointed by the quality. I have alot of oak items and know good quality when I see it. This is not and many of the wooden joining pegs are broken.
I have paid £469 for an unassembled, questionable quality wardrobe, just dumped in my hallway.

“I ordered a coffee table for a Christmas present for my daughter, it had been discounted on the website and stated that it was classified as a second as the customer had returned it as the measurements didn't fit their lounge but there was nothing at all wrong with the item.
It was delivered to my address as my Daughter and Husband were spending Christmas with me.
They took the unassembled coffee table home and when they came to unpack it soon realised it was severely damaged and there were also large drilled holes in the sides. They took photographs and sent them to me.
I contacted Oakworld and after a long wait on the phone I eventually got through to someone. They gave me the email address to send the photographs to which I sent immediately. I was then contacted by Katie from Customer services asking me to send a photograph of the original package that the table would be returned in, I did this that day. A week later I had received no instruction as to when the package would be collected so contacted Katie by email. She replied the following day asking me to send a photograph of the package which I had sent direct to her the previous week!
I have sent her numerous emails confirming that the package is to be collected from my Daughters home, who lives 2 hours away from me, and giving her the full address.
I have just received a telephone call from the Couriers confirming that they will be calling at MY address tomorrow to collect the package! They tell me that they cannot take instruction from me regarding the collection address.
I, like everyone else wish that I had looked at the reviews before ordering anything from this company.
Unfortunately there is no option for zero stars. Absolutely terrible company who obviously think its fine to send out severely damaged furniture and make it difficult to return anything!”
“Brilliant service and great product.
I was almost put off by all the negative reviews on this site but the company made the nicest designed coffee table I could find so I took a chance.
I ordered on Monday and received confirmation of delivery the next day. When I had a query on the delivery note I asked a question at 10pm on their web based customer service page and had a reply by the time I got up the next day.
By 8am on the Thursday the coffee was sitting in my front room, and looking very nice it is too!
I can only talk from my experience but it’s fair to say I would have no hesitation in recommending Oakworld to anyone.”
“What a company . Three times it has taken them to deliver an undamaged chest of drawers that I originally ordered in January 2020 and each one has arrived damaged .Sure once is one to many times but three is totally unbelievable . I have finally given up and settled on a refund of 25% and the damaged unit which I am not happy about but cannot go through the risk of a fourth delivery turning up and damaged, and to be honest I feel I can trust them now to deliver a perfect item .
With the second unit to arrive damaged they insisted that I keep the packaging to return it in . Great as it was delivered in May and collect in December , I don't live in a large house so keeping a large cardboard box for seven months was very difficult
A total pain and disappointment to deal with

“AVOID!! No option for no stars or that's what I would have put. My dad ordered a bookcase that was due to be delivered in October. now in January 2021 and still no sign of it. Customer services have told my dad that it's coming from VIETNAM. Dad is trying to cancel but may have to open a dispute with PayPal. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!”
“My advice is to stay away from this company - terrible customer service - furniture ordered but only delivered one piece and never delivered the rest even though it was ordered well in advance for an Xmas gift (had my money though) - numerous phone calls to them with no help at all as to where my furniture was - worst quality black chest of drawers (the one piece that was delivered) - eventually got refund and ordered from Next - far superior quality and all furniture delivered within a week - will never use this company again - trust me and go elsewhere”
“Missing item from order, useless delivery firm also, neanderthals employed by them. The slats from a bed missing therefore rendering the bed useless, not as useless as Oakworld customer service though! Long delays in replying to email and phone calls and ultimately still doing nothing. Eventually gave up and bought my own slats as i needed the bedroom to be finished. Don't buy from this company!”

“Item was damaged on receipt. Was offered a partial refund, but turned that down as I considered the item to be beyond my repair skills. Item collection was organised promptly, and collection was seamless, but I only got my full refund when I rang up 2 weeks later to chase it up.”

Now reading the reviews can honestly say I wished I had done this sooner.. Absolutely appalled that this company is allowed to trade..
