“Firstly in 2020 I brought perfume it was fake I ordered make up not knowning they were rip off merchant from 2020.
Now no make up turn up ignoring emails and messing around.

“Purchased a Sharp microwave oven and paid extra for delivery but didn't get it on time۔ Then when it arrived, it came with burnt enamel in the oven cavity. Furthermore, instead of a secure plate covering electronic components inside the cavity there was a flimsy cardboard type piece, which fell out and electronics can be seen in oven cavity. Sent images with high resolution. Seller didn't respond with solution۔ After waiting 72 hours I was able to contact onbuy customer service who sent automated message that I'll be contacted in 48 hours but no contact made۔ Again I messaged onbuy and silence۔ It has been over a week now and no solution and no email response. Waited and waited and never resolved issue properly because in the very end they expected me to take the bulky heavy item to drop it off for delivery. This is despite the additional fee for delivery, the misdvertising from their side as new, their fault for sending a used item that is hazardous and deliberately tampered with by concealing the cavity with a broken cardboard type thin board and protruding electronics.
Its left me with the impression that Onbuy is a scam where sellers can scam people via by selling faulty, hazardous and used items as if they were brand new without repercussions and buyers money is stolen without any response or recourse.
I have decided:
1) never to buy from Onbuy again
2) leave more reviews on line
3) contact Fair Trading Standards”

“People say it is cheap to buy from Onbuy. I learned the opposite, to my horror. Gardeners Dream was the seller for peanuts advertised at £30 for 25kg. I opened the tab to show sizes and prices. There were no sizes and their photo showed peanuts with 25kg written on it. I understood that was the size and price . I did try to contact the seller, based in Scotland, but received no response. I decided it had to be OK, all British. Peanuts arrived a week later. Three bags with 12.55kg written on the bags. Thought there must be mire coming. Opened them to pour in to 5kg bins . There was not 12.55kg but instead 10kg. I contacted Onbuy. I was told that is what you ordered. To cut a long story short, Gardeners Dream basically said tough, would take no responsibility for misleading the buyer and Onbuy backed them up. And the final insult? I put a negative review on Onbuy site and they deleted it. So the reviews for Onbuy are misleading too. I expect most of the reviews on Onbuy site are manufactured. DO NOT BUY FROM ONBUY ! Unscrupulous!”

“I ordered bath bombs on the 4th April and today is the 27th and still no sign..I emailed the seller as advised by onbuy but ive not had a reply..so now ive got the rigmarole of emailing clearpay to try get my money back, and its not good enough that i should be the one sorting this out.Anyway onbuy should ban the seller off their platform because God knows how many people they've tried to fleece..Im wary of using the Onbuy site again now to be honest but i have ordered loadsa stuff off their site before and everything came within about 3 to 4 days which i found impressive, plus you can find plenty of stuff much cheaper than the high street but i suppose thats the catch..you might end up with nothing plus onbuy don't seem interested in helping neither..its a pity as i really liked using this site.”
“On 07/02/2023, I placed an order for Ecco sneakers and still have neither sneakers nor money. Scammers. The seller repeatedly had a problem - no one responded, palpable with mockery. The service replied once before the New Year and two months ago that we were returning the money, but nothing was returned. Burn in hell damned crooks to the knees for such dirty scams.”
“Terrible customer service. Misrepresentation of goods offered. They advertised a 3 pack for a water filter, supplied only 1 and told me that they only had one- and that the price represented that.
I sent them a screenshot of the order and confirmation order and demanded they send me the additional two.
They replied they had no stock but to send back the original one for a refund - which I did not agree to as I was already using it- they then offered to give me a partial refund which I agreed to- 2/3 of the price- as 2 out of 3 items were missing.
Now the response was they could not do that…. So you sell me 3 of something, deliver 1 and don’t want to refund me the money back of the missing items?”
“I Ordered some gummies and they were rubbish they didn't even work . What a scam and con me out of alot of money . Do not buy . Avoid avoid . Don't waste your money on these items .”
“I personally would never use this platform again, though the goods are from individual retailers and the quality is not the sole responsibility of OnBuy at the end of the day they provide the customer service or lack of.
I ordered two wardrobes, three sets of doors later they were finally acceptable. The previous two sets were severely damaged upon arrival.
This took the best part of three months to rectify.
All the way along OnBuy stated they would arrange collection the pile of old doors and packaging once the correct set finally arrived. This was always a concern of mine as I was collecting a large pile of stuff I didn’t need in a one bedroom flat.
Of course I took them up on this offer and then they back peddled saying please arrange for the local authority to collect of which we advised them that wasn't an option due to the local authority not accepting mirrored items of which these doors are.
They have then stopped communicating and I’m left with a load of junk I don’t need.
Poor customer experience and service.
I will avoid in the future.”

“Would not recommend or purchase from again. I purchased a steam iron in February 2023 which was delivered promptly and I was happy with. Unfortunately in November 2023 the iron stopped producing steam. I reported this to OnBuy who then sent a pre-paid label for me to return it. Unfortunately after driving a 16 mile round trip to drop the package off the label didn’t work. They produced and sent a replacement label which I sent off. The iron was received by OnBuy 6 days after the warranty expired on the device and they refused to help with diagnosing the issue even though the issue was reported within the warranty period. When asking whether I could speak to someone about the issue to try and resolve it, no one replied to my message. I have requested contact information over 6 times to relay my complaint and they haven’t responded or if I have had a response, they just have directed me to the manufacturer. Extremely frustrating! I appreciate they may not be able to support but when a simple request of speaking to someone is not even acknowledged it is in my opinion considered rude. When you work long hours you just need a company who can treat you like a human to help resolve the issue! Will never use again.”
