Not very impressed Had inadequate reception, unable to use the app. When you breakdown at the side of the road and have to submit a post code? Recovery guy was great though

Portal would not accept my payment by card( x2) called & spoke to helpful assistant, told up to 2 hours, update after 2 hrs to tell me another 30-40 mins. Recovery arrived almost 3 hrs after initial phone call to call for recovery. Did get recovered to desired location but hanging around waiting in 4 degrees temperature all that time was not fun.

As of writing 18:55. I am still awaiting for rescue in 4C temps. Called at 15:00 and was told 1-2 hours. Which is fine. Until 2 hours passed and was told the recovery vehicle broke down and they’re sending another. I had to call as no updates. Was told 30-40 mins. Hour passed. Called again. Said it was traffic. 20-30 mins. 50 mins passed. Called again. Was told that the original driver was sick, so he went home. Now awaiting another 20 mins. No updates to me personally and I had to call to get updates. Person on the phone is helpful. I am not convinced with the recovery service though. Shivering in my van. I hope they come soon.

Waited over alloted time and turns out no recovery vehicles in the area and would have to wait an additional 2 hours, rescue folk were very polite on phone and situation out of their control due to several breakdowns in the area. However as a 63 year old on her own, dark and very cold not ideal. Ended up having to phone a relative to come get me and left car. Also had to pay £20 for the privilege of not getting a service.

Waited 5 hours, lost a days work to be told a car with my high mileage is prone to problems, jump started in 2 mins and told see a auto electrician, nothing else can be done, so I’m now sitting with car that won’t start again, back to square one.

There were several problems with the rescue last night. I need to speak to one call and get all this resolved. The main bugbear is that they expect things to go smoothly with online assistance. In an emergency this is rarely the case. Telephone assistance is far more reliable and psychologically preferable when under this type of stress.

Polite and professional call handlers. ETA of recovery vehicle though was 1.5 hours. After hearing nothing, I called again after 2 hours and was told it would now be 2.5 hours. Eventually I waited FOUR HOURS for the recovery vehicle to turn up. No attempt to diagnose or repair the problem, just a tow to the garage and left to make my own way home. £10 excess initially quoted increased to £20 after booking.

Wasn't happy I had to pay £55 on top. Would have been nice to sort out over the phone rather than website. Internet very slow in the countryside. However mechanic arrived early and was excellent.

Extra cost of £60 for use of skids, due to mechanic unable to release handbrake. Most cars today have electric handbrakes if you have an electrical fault and cannot release handbrake how can that be classed as an extra to the recovery.I felt I was forced to pay for something that was (and should be) part of the normal recovery process. I feel very unhappy and disappointed

Mixed. Call handlers were helpful. First mechanic came within 30 minutes. Changed burst tyre and recharged battery and said I was good to go. I expressed my concern that before the blow out there was a noise from under the car and I was worried about continuing my journey on the motorway. He said everything was fine, the tyre was just poor quality and basically left me without further checks. I started to drive off but the noise was still there. Called helpline again. They said they could not arrange the car to be towed home until the afternoon of the next day! I needed to get home earlier so took the train which they refused to cover the cost of. The driver of the delivery truck correctly diagnosed a broken mainspring which had gauged a hole in the tyre. If I had followed the advice of the first mechanic I would have gone onto the motorway which was 5 minutes away and the second tyre would also have burst with potentially catastrophic results! The driver of the pick up lorry was extremely helpful and friendly.

The guys came out and sorted the breakdown OK but before anyone was even sent when asked did the van have ad blue in it and we said yes we was charged £60 extra even though the was not ad blue added to the petrol that was put in the diesel engine. I would appreciate if you could send back the £60 to our account?

Really hard to understand the person on the phone. Ian who picked me up took it upon himself to shorten my name and call me baby! Very inappropriate and made me feel uncomfortable.

The phone line was so bad that I couldn’t hear what the lady was saying and it cost so much that I kept running out of credit and got cut off several times, each time getting a different person and having to keep giving all my details over and over again, thus using more credit. The breakdown truck arrived after 2hours,couldn’t fix the problem and I had to have a relay of 3 different breakdown trucks to get home, finally arriving there 10 hours after I broke down. I also had to pay £200 to do this, I thought the gold cover covered me but was told the reason for this was that it was over 100 miles. The policy wording mentions territorial limits but doesn’t explain what they are. Would the platinum policy have covered me, I can’t seem to find out.

On line portal did not work- and agent insisted that I booked into a garage and be recovered to that while all that was needed was a battery boost. He also said he would hold the call until I got back to him - he didn’t

I’ve had to use this service twice int the last 5 weeks. The first one left myself and my husband , in his late 70s and disabled, standing at the side of a busy trunk road in a darkening and increasingly cold night. No recovery vehicle ever arrived and no contact was ever made. It’s very difficult to find a contact number at any time but late on a dark night, impossible. I complained but had no further contact or explanation. Turning to today’s incident, the issue happened in an area that I am unfamiliar with. Breakdown was around 12.30 and I was advised that recovery would arrive at 15.35. I had my baby grandson in the car with me and had to collect his older (but still very young siblings ) from school at 15.15. I had no option but to get a taxi back to my daughter’s house, so that I could collect the children. Proactively, I contacted you to explain the situation and ask for at least 30 minutes notice when the recovery was arrriving. The recovery person subsequently phoned around 15.30 and phoned to advise. However, he was very considerate and left to allow me 30 minutes to arrange a racing for the short trip to the site. Unfortunately I was unable to get a taxi but I waited for a bus, which never arrived. He phone back twice and tried his best to help but his depot would not give permission to wait any longer. He advised me to ask you to call again when I reached the car . At that point I was told the recovery could not be resubmitted as it had already been sent out. I can quite understand why, but can’t understand why there was not even an apology for the first incident. I do feel your organisation owes me another recovery.

So the first experience was good where I could talk to someone. Then I was sent a link which didn’t work and I couldn’t log in. Luckily I wasn’t on the side of the road as I was extremely distressed when my steering went. I did manage to get to work. I eventually logged on to my computer and then spoke to someone who updated more stuff. I am a teacher and all of this was so difficult to sort out as I had lessons. All of this takes time!! The best experience was the guy who came to collect the car and take it to the garage. He was efficient and knowledgeable.
