OpenDoor makes the process of selling your home extremely easy and they give you the best price. Their customer service team is also excellent and always were quick to respond to any questions or concerns that we had. We had other companies offer to buy our home and their offers were not even close.

I have never been involved with a company that is so disorganized. My agent had no idea what she was doing. Very bad company policy to mislead with your ads, if you do not buy homes in gated communities you should put that in TBE ads.

dont' waste your time. I have a double lot and nothing major wrong with my home and a pool and tiki hut that I added electrical to. House across from me sold at $475 six months ago when market was much lower. I was told initially $567k but that there might be up to 16k taken off for any structural issues (there are none). So today after waiting 5 days AND having both an agent and guy inspect the outside they offer me Less than the one from 6 months ago (466k) - Not on a double lot and No hardwood floors. This company is looking for two types of Sellers - Desperate or too Rich to care about losing 37k. Well I sold my home on my own without a realtor and it was for $513k. Homelight was the same way but offered me 477k - all you investment companies should QUALIFY the person a little more instead of wasting our time. If we aren't desperate or rich you shouldn't be even sending a realtor or an inspector in to waste everyones time. I've been in sales for 15 years and if you don't Qualify people first you waste money and time on both sides. Dumb.

Selling with Opendoor was too easy!! They gave me more than I ever thought I would get for my home. From the first call to getting the money in the bank, I kept thinking this is too easy. Everyone was so helpful, answered the million questions I had and always got back to me very quickly.

I CLOSED IN 2 WEEKS NO LIGHT BULB CHANGES OR PAINTING If your considering open door because time is of the essence and hassle free is what ur looking for Don't hesitate call them now I Do call them right now! They are easy and its the real deal

I got a offer from Opendoor and before the offer I had a number in my head I would take. I did not expect them to get anywhere close actually but the came in above what I would take. You just can’t believe how easy the process is, a 20 min zoom call and I had a offer the next day! No repairs, no hassle, and no wondering if the sale would fall threw. It was by far the best experience that I could have imagined. I would use them 10 out of 10 times.

I have had multiple “offers” from Opendoor and included pics of my home in Gated Golf Course community where we also have private security patrols here in Houston. The Open door rep requested to have someone to come out and view our home which we obliged. We told the rep that we would provide them with a Guest code that they would have to punch in which would ring the homeowner’s home and they would then be “buzzed in”. Since they are visitors, the community HOA has provided this provision for safety. The homeowner’s personal Gate access code is for the homeowners. This provision is standard practice with the Land Development company’s Gated Communities and they are one of the largest in the state of Texas. The Open door rep said that this was not good enough for him. He needed our personal code although no actual agreement was signed. They are “STRANGERS”. Who does this ? None of the other iBuyers requested this. It was the WEIRDEST exchange that we have had regarding selling our home. WEIRD and potentially DANGEROUS. Meanwhile...we continue to get updated offers from them.

I am a realtor that is currently representing a buyer. Opendoor incorrectly listed the property as "public sewage". They provide a false receipt as "proof" that it is city sewer. After additional research and diligence on the part of myself and my buyer, it was determined that it is on a septic system. There are obviously additional expenses with a septic system vs city sewer. Opendoor refuse to credit my buyer a measly $3,500 to account for the difference, even though they incorrectly displayed the listing. DO NOT WORK WITH OPENDOOR!

It was one of the worst experiences I've had in a very long time. Not only did we sell to Opendoor, but we also bought through them as well. Selling our home to Opendoor was very easy until they had someone come and inspect our home. They came back with a list of repairs that they found and informed us that they were requesting that we credit them $5,000. We looked over the list of repairs and provided them with receipts for the work that was already done less than a year ago. They informed us that they don't care and that we will still have to credit them. We put 6 other offers down on houses and were outbid on them all except for the house we bought. Everything was going smoothly until the inspection came. We found some issues that had to be repaired including bad piping in the house, pool wires exposed, appliances not hooked up (because the cords were not long enough), outlets in the house not working, and cracks in the roof. We got multiple quotes for the work that had to be done. We sent over middle prices that added up to about $20,000 and sent them over to Opendoor to have them credit us (like they did when we bought our first home through them). OpenDoor came back and said "we will give you a $1300 credit and that's it. We also went through OpenDoor Loans as a backup in case our other loan company fell through. I felt that I was being pushed to use OpenDoor Loans and not a family friend during this process. When we were dealing with all the house issues, the OpenDoor Loan officer told me "well if you were to use an OpenDoor realtor and not a family member, you would get the credits, but since you're not, you won't get them". How could anyone selling a home, be ok with exposed wires around water? Especially with a family buying the house. I felt that the realtor for OpenDoor was only looking out for herself to make more money. The house we bought was under contract 3 times before us and I see why the other people backed out. We just couldn't take the chance of losing out on another home, so we took the risk. If we ever buy down the road, my family and I will not be using OpenDoor again unless they make things right. We were lied to through the entire process, and they used their place in the market to strong hand us. This is not fair to anyone, and I hope that people read these reviews before buying or selling to them.

What a waste of time. Dubious system & platform at best, IMO. I’m an investor and have owned a house for 14 months and just completed a full rehab. I usually sell direct or retail. A few of my colleagues had suggested trying Opendoor. So, I submitted request and received an email stating they had an active offer to some other email address & questioning my ownership & role in requesting offer. I explained I’d owned house for over a year and they should easily be able to validate because Redfin did same in under 5 minutes. Never heard back from them again. Ironically, they sent me bulk mail solicitation last week. Complete waste of time and I won’t consider selling to them again

I got and accepted my offer in Jul 2021 but the transaction did not close until Jan 2022 because i was buying a new home and due to supply chain issues they kept postponing my closing date. As the final/real closing date for the new home approached I recognized that considerable time had passed since the initial Open Door offer, that there was no inventory, as well as the unique features of my home I asked my Open Door agent (A Mark Spain agent) if I could refresh the offer, she categorically asked me not to do that but said she would talk to them directly. But then she came back with the report that infact Open Door said it was currently valued lower than the offer I had in hand. I pushed back and gave her some comps to go back and ask again. She came back again with a No....The feedback being the comps were not exactly comparable...one being bigger and the other more updated. I felt locked in with my closing coming up in 2 weeks and was just ready for the whole thing to be over. I focused on my move. Well, silly me for accepting either the lies because fast forward to not even 2 months after closing, I spoke with an old neighbor who told me the home had been bustling non stop with prospective buyers so I checked and it was already under contract at a list price higher than the listing of the same comps I had provided to the agent...and exactly $66,300.00 higher than what Open Door paid in the books for the home, a 13.8% increase! I then went back and pulled the emails between myself and the agent and sent her an inquiry with my findings, the only thing she could come up with was fresh paint and carpet...Seriously? If you are using Open Door or another ibuyer and its been sometime since your initial offer, insist on a refresh. Also, maybe you can ask for a baseline so that if your home sells above that, you will get or split the difference with them. Some such services do provide this option upfront. Also, some traditional realtors are beginning to offer very interesting solutions. Do some research, don’t squander away your biggest investment!

I am a Texas real estate agent and own investment rental properties. I decided to sell one of my rental properties without going through the normal process as a realtor, and try Opendoor. I was more than impressed with the transaction and how well the process went. I am so happy I went through Opendoor!
