“the staff were very helpful in both the perth and edinburgh branches. they made me feel at ease before,during and after surgery. the after care was very good and they were glad to help. my vision after the procedure has greatly improved and i feel more confident in myself. laser eye surgery was without a doubt the best decision i made.”

“I was a bit scared of a surgery, I never had any in my life, but I wanted to stop using always glasses every day, every moment of my life, which I found quite uncomfortable and they make me look older. Nowadays after the treatment, I feel much better about the way I look, no need for glasses anymore, and no more problems related to my sight, like wearing glasses in the rain, or being unable to see if I'm having a bath in the sea for instance, I'm glad I decided to have this operation. I will need glasses only for reading, but that is a little detail, the glasses will be less thick. Overall I am quite satisfied about this experience.”

“I never used to wear glasses or contacts as I hated both so decided to squint to see things, as it got worse and worse I knew I had to do something about it. After having my initial consulation I was happy with the price and happy as they explained everything to me as I very was nervious about surgery. Only drawback was the waiting time before surgery, but Geat result and great team. Thanks guys.”

“immediately after surgery i could tell it had been sucessfull..it is exactely like a weight has been lifted off the eyes..b4 the surgery i had got used to walking around and NOT trying to focus on perifial things.. now i can see clearly these things in my perifial vision without getting a headache”

“I was worried about getting the LASIK surgery as I don't like my eyes being touched. It was painless although I was nervous during the surgery. I'm so glad I did it as my vision is better and I don't have to worry about contacts or glasses any more. It saves me time in the morning and hassle both morning and night. Optical Express have been great in terms of customer service. I would recommend them and the surgery to everyone.”

“I am the biggest scaredy cat and wanted to get my eyes done, but my imagination created too many 'what if?' scenarios. I decided to stop thinking about it and just do it. There were no proplems at all: the surgery is quick and painless. The most you will feel is a little uncomfortable and out of sorts afterwards for a few hours until you adjust. Optical Express were helpful and reassuring from start to finish. Do it!”

“I was very nervous, but was re-assured at the initial appointment and on the day of the surgery. I asked the optician and the surgeon NOT to explain the full procedure to me so that I would not be put off. They were happy to explain the basics but avoided any gory details. What I was most relieved about was that there were no injections. The surgery was simple, straight forward and over so quickly. It really was no worse than going to the dentist for a filling (less scarey as no high pitched drills!) They even had a stress ball for me to squeeze which gave me something else to focus on. After the surgery I was seen immediately, every thing about post-op care was explained and I went home for a sleep. I woke up 3 hours later and could see perfectly. AMAZING Thank you so much, Jeni Jacques”

“strange at first because i needed glasses all the time for distance, eyes are oppposite vision now. to me its better than wearing them all the time. its still best thing i have done, would recommend to all.”

“The whole experience from start to end has been brilliant. I felt 100% at ease throughout and well informed about the procedure and what was to be undertaken. Overall I am extremely satisfied with the whole process and would definitely do it again and recommend to anyone considering having the surgery.”

“its been a long journey but finally very happy with my sight.everybody done their bit with me from livingston to motherwell to silverburn where i had a very good surgeon who guided me through the whole thing.its been life changing even my golf has come on leaps”

“I have been thinking of having laser surgery for a VERY long time. Each time i considered it i was very frightened of the procedure and convinced myself out of fear not to have it done. Eventually, i could not stand wearing contact lenses any more due to them being uncomfortable and decided it was "now or never". The procedure itself was not so traumatic as i imagined and recovery was much better than i thought it would be. Apart from dry eyes sometimes and my left eye vision not being as good as the right, i have been satisfied with the outcome so far.”

“I was very impressed that my sight was quite sharp even on the same evening after surgery, although the eye was a bit sore. The sight improved further in the next 2 to 3 days, and the soreness was mostly gone by the day following surgery. The improvement in quality of life, in terms of self confidence and freedom from dependence on contact lenses or glasses really has been life changing. I should have had the procedure years ago, and would definitely recommend it from my own experience. The staff at Optical Express were very supportive and helpful at each step and throughout the aftercare period. Many thanks!”
