“I had my surgery at lakeside in essex and it was the best thing i ever did. My prescription was -2.50 in both eyes and i had a astigmatism in my right eye. I had been wearing glasses and contact lenses since i was 18 years of age and im now 47.I decided to have the laser eye surgery when one of my contact lenses caused a ulcer in my left eye which could have made me go blind. I read a few reviews and spoke to people i new who also had the surgery and decided to give it a go. I contacted Optical Express about a consultation and they were very helpful to me. I had the consultation where i was advised of the types of surgery available and the prices. I opted for the wavefront lasek sugery on both my eyes. I was given a information pack which gave me loads of help and advice which included taking a pair of sunglasses with me to wear after my surgery to protect my eyes from the light. The day of my surgery came and i was very nervous but also excited at the thought of what my eyesight would be like after the surgery. The nurse at the front desk was very helpfull and all the other staff were very friendly. The surgery itself took no more then 10 minutes and was painless. After the surgery my eyes did sting for a while but i was given 2 types of eyedrops to use which helped me for the next few weeks. I noticed my eyesight was alot better straight after the surgery and when i went for my checkups i was told my eyesight was better then 20/20 vision.”

“Being able to see without the hassle of glasses or contact lenses is amazing as I have used them since I was very young. I struggled with contact lenses as eye infections occurred several times, not worrying about this is fantastic. The staff at Optical Express have been so helpful and friendly, making a potentially worrying experience very easy and stress free.”

“I was very nervous before the surgery but was put at ease as soon as i entered optical express, i was constantly cared for and after my surgery i have been more than looked after. the staff are very friendly and welcoming. I have had dry eye quite a bit just lately but was reassured my vision will continue to improve.”

“I would recommend the laser eye surgey to anybody who is wearing contact lenses or glasses as it has changed my life completely. Wearing contact lenses before it was a pain to constantly put them in and take them out, and now I dont have to worry about that. I just wake up and get on with my day.”

“Since i'm only 23 I thought there would be some difficulty getting eye laser surgery. However after getting my consultation they were very helpful getting an appointment for the laser as soon as possiple as i requisted. Everything went very well on the day and the after service was very efficient. They answered all my queries and made me very relaxed about the whole process. I would definitly recommend this service to others and am a very satisfied customer.”

“My vision is now 20/20, which I'm more than happy with. It's even better than with my glasses. The procedure was not pleasant, but I've had worse, and only lasted a few minutes. Friends seem to be put off by the thought of the procedure, but it is over very quickly. Only thing I have to do now is wear glasses - ready readers - for close work. I wore varifocals before, so having to put reading glasses on and off is taking some getting used to, but at my age (60) that's pretty good. I think I look more intellectual taking my specs on and off to read! So very happy - and I got a half price offer, so even more delighted. The cost of varifocal glasses plus contact lenses was getting very expensive. This was my 60th birthday present to myself and it's been worth every penny.”

“From my first consultation I have been treated wonderfully. The day of the laser treatment I was put at ease and had a wonderful man carry out the treatment. It was such a success my husband is noiw going ahead with the treatment. The staff have been fantastic and nothing has been a problem and every thing has been thoroughly explained as many times as I asked, which was alot. Thank you to everyone who helped and continue to do so.”

“I am a keen golfer who was unable to wear contact lenses due to over use and had to wear glasses. This is a thing of the past now and this has increased my enjoyment of the game - the greens are clear now and I can see balls and targets 400 yards away and more. It has really changed my life and now hopefully my game. Thank you”

“I have been highly impressed with the staff at all the Optical Express stores. They are all very professional, helpful and the procedure was very quick and painless. My eyesight has been amazing since I have had the procedure. I am very pleased I decided to go for this and it has improved my life greatly. I go on holiday travelling in a month and this will make the holiday much more enjoyable with not having to worry about contacts, solution and cleaning.”

“I am very happy with the end result. Before the surgery, I was very shortsighted, but after the procedure my eyesight has dramatically improved, such that I can now see better without spectacles than I could before the surgery with them. The standard of care that I have received at Optical Express is second to none: I have been taken care of very well. If anyone reading this is contemplating laser surgery but still unsure, I can only say that it has changed my life, and would urge you to go through with the procedure. You will be in excellent hands.”
