About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

“Great product, slow delivery”

“Product is fine, it is as described and decent quality Problem lies with the courier service Aramex/Fastway. They are hopeless to deal with. Had several items delivered by them. Delays, slow responses and they leave parcels in driveways to get wet or get run over when it's dark. My parcel was in their depot for 5 days before they delivered. Email inquiry response was we will reply in 2 days....poor poor service. I like the products but won't buy until there is a better delivery courier”

“i love the look of the msa mirrors. small issue's are water in one blinker also bolts are to short and threads stripped had to put stud init and the seals don't seal and we have lots of wind noise. i would like a replacement set if they come loose of water keeps filling up and not draining”

“I ordered an item 3 weeks ago. After two weeks and no need I contacted Outback to find the item had not been ordered from the supplier. A refund of the shipping charge was gratefully accepted by me but still no advice or shipping .tracker. I know stuff like this happens in the world but I am disappointed. Today is Monday, 3weeks and 2days. The item has arrived. All happy. Communication is the key.”

“Bought a Tuff Terrain snorkel for my 2015 Suzuki Jimny. Quality looks good but wasn't designed for the Jimny with the bonnet scoop as stated on the website which made it hard to find someone to fit it for me because the guards are slightly different shape. Found a good fitter in the end and looks good but sits out from the guard slightly.”

“Got cover for van as ordered, am yet to fit cover as is still in box. Decided to install a shade sail over whole van parking area rather than covering on and off when using van a couple times a month. Cover looks good quality though.”

“Bought a pair of your towing mirrors and found they’re field of view is greatly reduced due to their flat glass rather than the convex glass used in factory mirrors. Also the wiring is backwards, I now have to push left on the mirror control to move the mirror right and vise versa. Apart from that build quality is great and I have no vibration on rough roads and they have shown to be strong in the bush when hitting trees.”

“To be honest it wasn't the greatest experience. Took over three weeks for my item to arrive and when it eventually did, it was faulty and had to be returned. The customer service personnel I dealt with were quick to respond and helpful. However, in the end it took me approx 2.5 months to recieve a functional compressor.”

“Received the correct item in a timely manner, however when I tried to contact them through their own website afterwards with a question, they still hadn't responded to me after more than two full business days. It was only when I asked the same question through an independent reviewing website, that I quickly got an answer. If you don't have even half decent customer service, your not even half way there. Lucky to get 3 stars from me.”

“Not sure why it took 6 days from purchase to courier picking up item from your depot then no tracking was available and item took 4 more days to delivery. Same item purchased 10% less locally by a friend.”
