About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Worst service I’ve had took a long time to come asked for a refund and then you said it would come in a few days and when I finally got the order it wasn’t mine. Waste of time ordering from this store never again

Terrible experience. Goods were “lost in transit” so after waiting for the goods for over a month the order was cancelled and I was given a refund! Never again!

As I still haven't received the item I paid for, which was a 12v pump, If i were you, probably wouldn't ask for a review.

I ordered a trolling motor mount from the website because it said it was "in stock" Cool should only be a few days to get it posted to me. I checked my order on there website a week later come up "dispatched" cool should be here soon. After 2 weeks I rang them about the order and they said oh that's on back order it should be shipped out in about 3-4 weeks. Should not be selling anything unless you have it stock. The only positive out of this is I got my money back, I'll give them 1 star for that.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. Firstly they did not send what I had ordered, some other piece of rubbish. Sent emails to never received a reply rang them absolutely disgusting service. Buyer beware

Seaflo faulty within one month. 5 days now awaiting a response for a warranty claim. Advised by staff I would be denied my rights as a consumer to a refund, against regulation from ACCC

After a 3week old purchase not working filled in required form on line twice still no response. Contacted via phone twice then was expected to know what was wrong with equipment without being qualified to know & supply photos After all this 4 weeks later finally a replacement being sent. This whole experience was prolonged way to much .

Waited 3weeks to have to chase up what's happening and to find out there is no stock and could not tell me when it would be coming. So take your money and you can wait attitude with management as he said words of offence and hung up than blocked me from calling to cancel, so I did it thru paypal. Not impressed with customer service at the high end. No communication Brought 1 from ebay got in 2 days awesome 👌🏿

I live on the Gold Coast. Outback equipment are based in Brisbane 1 hour away. Ordered item 27 December. Arrived 28 January. No excuses for xmas period as I had many items from Sydney and Melbourne arrive within 5 days over the same period. Was waiting for the item before starting a major australia trip. What a total shambles and waste of my time and money.

Wouldn't recommend going through these guys, shipping takes a long time and one of our items got "lost" worth $2000...did get up getting a refund but all in all just not what you want. Also didn't get refunded on shipping which came to a hefty $400...overall just go somewhat else

Haven’t received the goods and they aren’t helpful in finding them. Finally got through to the manager who explained the situation a bit better

I ordered a cover for my boat, the site never said it was out of stock. Got no updates from out back equipment after a week tried calling 8 times and sent 4 emails, with no reply, drove from the Sunshine Coast to the warehouse in Acia ridge to be told it wasn’t in stock. Explained I just drove 3hr round trip which could have all been avoided if they answered my phone calls or emails. Won’t be ordering from outback equipment again.

31 day delivery time little to no correspondence from your company at all, could not contact the courier at all it was quite a bad experience overall.

I will Avoid Outback Equipment in future. I received remarkably slow delivery, no communication of why there was unforeseen delays. It seems they sold me equipment they didn’t have in stock to sell? Poor communication when I queried the delay and a really disappointing experience trying to contact them for an explanation. Phone system was basically useless and a very unproductive computerised menu system ensured I was disappointed before I even managed to not get through to a person. When I finally got a call back days later, the staff were quite removed from engagement and it seems to me that low pay for the workers has attracted low quality effort from an over worked crew. Please don’t contact me again.

I couldn't get the shower to be able to regulate the heat , it stay always on the hottest side and when I turn if down the temperature did not move .

Terrible experience, I ordered a pair of water tanks on 8th December, leaving plenty of time for delivery and install into caravan before Christmas, allowing plenty of time for Christmas crazy period regarding postage/shipping, etc. I thought they were in transit, when I got email on 16th of December to let me know they had just been shipped to me. I emailed Outback Euipment office straight away to ask that they make sure they go on that day (the 16th), as obviously they had sold them to me when they were out of stock, never letting me know, and now they're already late. They said ok, they would make sure, but then didn't get on the truck until the next day (17th Dec). After waiting, waiting, waiting, they arrived on January the 9th, after I had to open a case with courier company. Pretty poor experience overall. Good prices, but don't rely on getting anything within reasonable timeframe.

Purchased 2 adjustable tables for a Xmas present and they arrived damaged. After many phone calls unattended get through and finally did, and 2 emails completed with invoice and pictures of damage and and completed return refund forms and a response said 3 to 5 business days( not including public holidays) I still have had no response So not happy Jan
